Ordered these Monday after lunch; was wearing them Tuesday at lunch. Excellent lightweight style on display here. Build quality seems adequate - not sure what some folks here expect from pricey sneakers. I'll buy another pair in a different colorway as soon as I can justify it!

Shoes are great looking, received many compliments about them. Friends asked where I purchased them and I referred them to Zappos!

Very comfortable shoe. I ear size 12, but ordered a 13 to make sure it fits. And it fits great. You can wear with or without socks and they look good and feel good on my feet. Love them. :)

I ordered these for my son and he loves them. I thought they would not be cool enough for him but I was wrong! They are great shoes.

Great shoes. I bought these, largely, because of their aesthetic. I love the subtle camo that runs throughout the upper. It's noticeable, but in the grey colorway, it's not overbearing. They look great, especially on foot. Better yet, they're comfortable, sturdy, and fit true to size. This is my first pair of New Balance, and while I know they aren't American-made, I'm very happy with the quality and construction of the shoe. I would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable shoes from day one. Really didn't need any break in time. I like that they are a fun design without being neon bright. Have similarly styled New Balance (maybe 574?) shoes in another color so ordered based on that size. Fit felt the same.

These shoes are very comfortable. I am a college student who walks everywhere, and these shoes are the best pair I have ever owned. They make me an inch taller too which is nice.

Saw these babies on Zappos. Def glad I snagged em. Super happy with the shoe, and Zappos service rocks as always.

I wish I had seen these before I bought my last pair of 574's. These have more of a clean-cut look that I want in a sneaker. Very understated, stylish, lightweight, no build-up on the sole, no tongue-shift, and the list goes on. Maybe it could have had an Achilles notch in the back, but that's barely anything to complain about. Even though the sneaker looks as good as it already does, I'd like to see New Balance make an all-suede model of it, maybe with a Vibram sole too.

I'm in love with the New Balance 501's in dark blue. Everything is perfect and I'm a boy with a really skinny narrow foot and this width is perfect in the 501's. I was reading some reviews and people were saying they fit tighter than the rest of the NB line up and for me that's perfect, because they usually fit too loose on my foot. And also thanks Zappos for the fast, speedy shipment. I got these one one day.

My husband loves the shoe but needs a 1/2 size bigger in this style 501. The 528 he wears an 11 vs 11.5 in the 501

These shoes have exceeded my expectation. They are very comfortable and look very stylish. I'm a big fan of the classic style of shoe and these ones are great.

These shoes are awesome. This was my first time shopping with zappos and I was very impressed. Shipped within a couple of days and was exactly what I ordered. However, I don't know whether it is New Balance or just this particular shoe. I wouldnt go as far as saying the shoe size was a half size too small, but it was definitely more snug than all my other shoes. I walked around in them a little while and they stretched out a little. After that, they were just fine.

Great shoes, and comfy right out of the box. I usually wear a 10.5 on a few different models of New Balances, but 10.5 was too snug on these 501s. But of course, thanks to the Zappos incredible return policy, I had 11s on my feet in lees than a week.

A little tight at first and I thought I got the wrong size but after wearing them twice they fit perfect. Very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for.

I love this shoe. I've gotten so many compliments. I wear them every day for work (8 hours on my feet) and they don't make my size 16 foot look like a clown shoe.

Full disclosure: I bought, and returned, two other brands or styles of kicks (sneakers) before choosing these. The only thing wrong with the other two was my now-healed and formerly-broken foot, simply did not have the support, fit, or comfort necessary. The part of my foot that I broke is called the calcaneus which is the heel bone, and mine cracked from the bottom up and around to the top, where the foot meets the ankle bone. Thus, the importance of buying the absolute right sneaker. Now, to these new babies! New Balance has made an excellent mid-range sneaker, for people who walk and sometimes run, and want to have both support and comfort, which doing those activities. As mentioned, my now healed foot requires extensive walking, as a follow-up to the months of physical therapy I needed to get my mobility, range of motion, and strength back. These kicks provide just the right combination of all necessary features, to make my feet - and me - smile. Bravo to New Balance, for making an excellent sneaker, which just happens to look great. Bravo to Zappos, for their returns policy, which allowed me to find the right fit and features for my recovering foot. These are recommended, even if you are not protecting a formerly injured foot. Recommended for just those who want to be comfortable on a long walk, and for those who need good support and good comfort, in the event they do want to jog. Warning! These are not good to be used as felony flyers so beware, take care, and don't go there!

Very comfortable, great looking sneaker. I have received numerous compliments on them. They felt a bit small when I first put them on, but once I wore them a couple times they fit great.

Cheap price but stylish, New Balance shoes are always a nice casual shoe. Next day shipping was awesome. Felt a little tight at first but they broke in within the first day of wear. Can't complain, would like some more in another color!

These are some cool New Balance. I bought them because they are solid black and they look good on my feet. They are also quite comfortable.

I wanted a pair of casual shoes that had a clean, classic look without the flash and dorkiness of most tennis shoes. I like these a lot for my simple, classic, casual style.

A great, solid, all around shoe for cruising the city streets to hiking the trails with the dogs. Not to mention I've gotten a few compliments when I've worn them to a casual event!

Awesome shoes. But even more awesome customer service. This is the second time I have ordered from you. The first pair of shoes came within 24 hours. Finding non-leather New Balance Classics is very difficult. And finding them in size 14 is sometimes impossible. According to the description these have suede but according to New Balance customer service they do not. As far as I can tell the material is all synthetic and the wide width is very comfortable for me so I'm pleased.
