Bought these for my fianc. I was nervous because it's so difficult to find shoes he both likes AND that fit him. These were absolutely perfect and he's got some spring in his step. It's nice to seem him actually comfortable and proud of what he's wearing on his feet.

So I bought a pair of 574s in leather some time ago, in 2e, thinking they would be wide enough for my 4e foot. Well, I bought them too small and ended up not wearing them at all. I disregarded 2e sizes because of that and then noticed there was a severe lack in options for 4e shoes for casual wear. I decided to try a bigger size in 2e in hopes that they would fit my feet and still be wide enough to not cause any discomfort. Well, instead of buying my normal 4e size of 9.5 in 2e, I bought these 501s in a size 11 (I wear 9.5-10.5 depending on style and brand) and they were wide enough to my pleasant surprise! They are a little bit bigger than I need, so the next pair will be a 10.5. So, with that being said, if you are disappointed with the lack of options in 4e widths, try a 2e in a size bigger and I think you will be just fine! Now, I just need New Balance to produce those 247s in 2e please!!!

I wear these to school, then to work, then run in them, then hike in them. They're durable as hell, look good, and are good to wear for anything. So comfortable. So durable. Best shoes I've ever owned.

very comfortable shoe that matches well with almost everything. I purchased them for work around the house but once i got them they were immediately used for date night and beach the next day. Solid purchase
