These are excellent shoes! They are very well made and comfortable. I am having to get used to them, the straps give blisters at first, but the leather is soft and they are breaking in quickly. I wear my shoes with an orthotic, and due to this I usually have to size up to an 11 (42). In these shoes because of the outside seam construction method, there was more room inside the shoes and my orthotic flopped around too much in the 42, so I bought a 41 and it is perfect! These shoes are also anatomically correct, so that helps the smaller size fits really well. I wore these constantly on a seven day vacation in Seattle and they performed brilliantly.

These shoes are typical Seibel comfort shoes. They fit perfectly! And Zappos got them to me in record time!

I have had very bad foot issues for the last several years, making standing at work almost unbearable. I've tried literally 40-50 pairs of shoes and/or orthotics and really haven't found anything that helps. On a whim, I decided to try these Joseph Seibel Ida shoes cuz I thought they were cute. Not only are the cute, they are ultra comfy!! No joke, I worked 8hr. shifts 3 days in a row & felt like I could still run a marathon afterwards! It may sound like I'm exaggerating but I kid you not, these shoes were like the difference between night & day to my feet. No pain, no swelling, no aches - nothing. I even kept them on my feet each day after work up until bedtime cuz they really felt that good. Best purchase ever from Best seller (Zappos) ever!! What could be better? Off to order other colors!!

I have owned Seibel on/off for many years. It always seemed like most Euro brands to be well made and comfortable but oddly inconsistent from style to style. Since I have fussy feet (plantar issues on/off; pronation; narrow heels, wider toe box; thin, now wobblier ankles), I look for a lot of adjustability and overall support. This one almost fit the bill. I loved the quality of the leather, breathable lining and the straps hugged my foot well. The velcro strap over the top of the foot which made for a lot of flexibiity for support purposes. Overall a great fit but for my little toe not being covered by the straps. Too bad. This would have been a keeper but for that. There is moderate arch support and the sole was pliant so I think this would have been good for a moderate amount of city walking. I frequently and a lot, usually wearing Brooks Addictions with custom orthotics inserted. These Seibels would have been fine for everyday wear but not heavy duty walks.

I love these shoes. But order a size smaller as they do run big. I always wear a 39 and ordered a 39. Had to exchange for a 38 and the fit was perfection!

This is an excellent shoe for my feet - wide at the toe area, and stylish. The flowered sole is fine with the bark color, and although I would like to have these in black, the sole is not a good companion.

The back of the shoe rubbed on the top of my ankle. Shoe length was fine though. Too bad as I love the look of these shoes.

These are my favorite sandals. I have them in three colors. Hoping they will come our in antique gold. Very comfortable. The fit is perfect. I have bought these three years in a row. And the 3 year old ones still look & wear great.

Saw these on another website. Didn't have my size. So glad I kept looking. I LOVE THEM! Good experience first time shopping on Zappos.com!

I love Josef Seibel shoes! There are very comfortable and fit like a glove. They are well worth the price and I will continue to buy them.

Some Josef Seibel shoes come narrow enough for me & these worked out perfectly; I've worn them for hours shopping/walking all over San Francisco recently & my feet felt great...not a usual occurrence for me.

I loved this shoe but it is too large. I ordered a 40 (I wear 8.5) but probably need a 39, which isn't available. I hate to return it! It arrived quickly and is a quality shoe. Love Zappos!

Great fit like all Josef Seibel shoes.

Gosh, this shoe was cute, but the the side of the shoe hit my ankle bone and was uncomfortable. I returned it.

As other reviewers stated, Joseph Seibel makes a quality show. I bought a 39, which equates to 8.5. Super comfy; am taking them on a trip to Greece and Italy. A minor irritation is the stitching, but not a huge problem. I have relatively flat feet with bunions, so my arch inserts are a must. Great wide toe box. Beautiful shoe!

This is a beautiful shoe, but didn’t find it as comfortable as Joseph Seibel’s usually are . So returning it.

This is a beautiful shoe, I really really wanted to keep it but my second toe is very long and it kept hitting the shoe . And hence made it uncomfortable to wear.

Just about everything I read about these shoes turned out to be true for me too. I’m a 9.5 to a 10 on the narrow side. The 40s were definitely too short and narrow. The 41s are a good fit...except...my toenails on each baby toe come just at the edge of one of the outer straps and scrape against the strap. I might try some moleskin to see if that helps because I really love the look of this shoe. The brown is definitely a dull, worn looking brown but really handsome. The Black is shinier and makes the shoe a bit more dressy. There is NO arch support so if I keep the 41 (assuming I can fix the piggy toes issue) I’ll have to add a padded inner sole. I’ll try that but it may not be worth it In the end to doctor this shoe up so much, especially considering the price. Oh, one more thing, the back of the heel is definitely high and rubs but with an inner sole raising up my heel, that might go away. Too bad, cause it’s a really darling shoe!

I love the shoe but....the heel digs into my left ankle. im going to have to return these unfortunately.

I really love these shoes, BUT after wearing them about 10-12 times, one shoe fell apart where the leather is stitched to the sole. I have worn Josef Seibel shoes before and never had any problems. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I will order another pair and hope for the best!

The leather is soft and the shoe would not really require a break in period. Initially, I put this shoe on my "good" foot and found it to be incredibly comfortable. However one of the straps cuts into a bunion on my other foot. Sadly, I need to send them back. I need some sort of summer time closed toe shoe for work and thought that these would do nicely.

Runs 1/2 size bigger. Cute, but the design coloring on the soles make the shoes look dirty.

Liked the way the shoe looks, but it was too big and rubbed on my ankle bones.

Love these!! I am pretty fussy about work shoes as I mostly stand for 7 hours at a time and these have been comfortable out of the box. The only adaptation I had to make for wearing them to work was some moleskin on the heel (which seemed to rub a little too enthusiastically out of the box). The last seems to fit my foot well--not the best arch support but a fine trade off between comfort and cuteness. Your Milage May Vary, but I would definitely recommend to friends!
