These shoes are exactly what I was looking for! They are "free" run shoes that are so lightweight you feel like your running barefoot with some cushioning. This shoe fits tightly like a sleeve and can be worn with socks or barefoot. Also is compatible with Nike Fit technology!

First of all, I received these in less than 24 hours and did not have to pay for express shipping. Thank you, Zappos! I purchased these shoes based on the reviews. I am not a runner nor do I plan on doing a lot of running. I just wanted a light weight pair of shoes that could last me through an 8 hour shift w/o pain or backache. These shoes are extremely light weight and comfortable. I have yet to see if they can last 8 hours. I was order a 1/2 size larger for running shoes, so these 7s fit perfectly!

The shoe felt 1/2 size too small. I usually wear a 10 but will exchange for a 10.5. They are very light and comfortable but I wouldn't be able to wear an athletic type sock with it because my toes would be too cramped. If they had it in Wide, I would have gotten a 10 Wide. The color is very pleasant. Can't wait to get the larger size. There isn't much of an arch support but they do have a nice cushioned center below the insole which is removable. If you want to use your own inserts you may want to consider also getting them a half size larger. They also have a very comfortable fit and need to be pulled on like a Neoprene glove. Then tighten the lace to comfort.

I love these shoes. I'm not much of a runner these days so for me they are used as an everyday running errands shoe. They are so light and comfortable. Sizing was small for me. I have been a size 9 my entire adult life and ended up having to return for the 9.5. Overall fabulous. Highly recommend.

These Nike running shoes are amazing! I typically hate Nike shoes for running or exercise, but love the style of them; and usually use them for running errands, etc. However, these have changed my mind! I am a personal trainer and find that barefoot running really does support the natural mechanics of the foot. Shoes tend to "turn off" the natural spring mechanism we have, and bind our natural foot movement...so I am very much on board with this "technology" or lack thereof, and find it to be one of the better "minimalist shoes" out there (love the Vibram 5 finger shoes). It is a little silly to spend this much on them...you can tell they do not have much to them, and probably cost very little to make, but it is a new trend, and moreover, it is a great shoe. I wear between a 9-9.5 and did need the 10. I ordered the 9.5 and they were a bit snug (FYI when ordering a shoe for running, always order up. It should feel roomy when you put it on; when you run, your foot spreads and expands, and you really need a .5 size larger than your usual shoes). I know better, but they did not have the 10, and I really wanted the bright pink pair. The easy breezy free ship / free return made it so simple. Unfortunately, they did not have a 10 available; but I opted for the "notify me when my size comes in" feature. In the meantime, I did get them from Nike.com...only to get an email from Zappos a few days later that my size came in! Oh well. Overall: Awesome shoe for running, or whatever! Don't even need socks if you don't want them. The arch support was a bit moderate than I am used to, and felt odd at first, but my foot adjusted within hours of wearing. By the way, I also have bunions, and running shoes can be a bear to find. These are perfect for the imperfection of my foot! Love these shoes! I urge you to try them! If they don't work for you, easy enough to send them back! I doubt you will want to!

The color looks more red in the picture but it's a bright pink - which I love! And it feels great, very light.

My first nike Free and I love them. They are super light weight on the feet. Fit comfortably and makes running more comfortable. I am definitely a fan now and will continue to buy more. I got the grey and teal ones and they are a cute color combo. I bought 1/2 inch bigger and just enough room to run in.

Awesome shoes! I have been running in the Free Run shoes for almost a year. If you run barefoot or pose method, these shoes are appropriate. If you are a big heel striker, these may not be for you. I like the new Frees even better than the last model. Super light, comfy, and airy. Great for long distance! I wear a women's 10 (and I'm a solid 10) and I always prefer the fit of these if I order a half size up.

Love these shoes. They are very lightweight yet are plenty of support for me. I use them for going to the gym and also walking in my neighborhood several miles a day with no problems. I have gotten lots of compliments on the bright pink with yellow laces. I would recommend these shoes highly.

These shoes are lightweight and very comfortable to run in. I had clunky Nike Shox before, and will never look back. These shoes breathe and respond with your movements. I have wider feet and these fit me (true to size) without any problems. The only issue I have noticed is after slipping them on and off many times the heel will collapse on you. Which kind of sucks (since the tongue doesn't move you do slip them on and off), but you can still wear the shoe.

Love these shoes, though I got some blisters early on as they fit and feel a bit different than traditional running shoes. These are the most lightweight shoes I've ever owned.

I wore these to work usually my feet are aching, and even worse when I leave for vacation for 2 weeks. I had no pain and my feet and legs felt great after standing for over 7 hours for me that says a lot! I'm 5'7 130 and these are extremely comfortable! I plan to wear free runs anywhere I can! I love how flex the sole is and how it's easier to get around.

These shoes are the best! This is my second pair, and the fit is the same as the first pair that I bought 3 years ago. They are both labeled Nike Free+ 2. Light and very comfortable. I just wish that the current Nike Free 2 choices included the color of my first pair, which is a rich purple with burgundy laces and a burgundy swoosh. I got dozens of compliments. My new pair is contrasting two-tone lilac and purple, pretty but not as nice as the darker, plainer color, which looked good with anything. I don't like bright colors (or multicolors) on my feet, but I do want choices that include more than black and white. I tried the Nike Free+3 but the complicated design of the instep and tongue made them uncomfortable. Hope this helps.

When I first tried on these shoes, they felt snug but as I have worn them they feel great. They haven't required much break-in time.
Shoe tongue is attached so I have used thinner socks in order to get my foot into shoe.

These are not exactly what I expected. The sneakers are more of slip-ons. The laces do not do very much. But they are still the light-weight, comfortable and functional sneakers that I wanted. Plus I love the color.

I like the shoes and they are very comfortable. I usually order 8½, but I ordered a 9 because I tried them on in the store and they run a little small. Other than that, these are great comfortable shoes. Order half a size up!

I was surprised by these when I received them. The mesh is thin and the shoe is altogether really lightweight. The main reason I bought these was because of the flexible sole. They truly move with your foot and don't hurt my feet as much when running. The tongue is a little odd. Technically I don't know that it is a tongue but more a stretchy opening. They are easy for me to slip on and I do like that since it isn't a true tongue, it doesn't slide to the side during running. The colors are vibrant and I am really happy with my purchase.

I love these sneakers for running. Just be aware they run very small and narrow. I take a whole size up from my normal sneaker. But they are light weight and are like running on air.

The color is a lot cuter in person than on the picture. The fit, however, didn't work for me. The arch hit me too far back on my foot and there wasn't enough cushion on the bottom. They seem to work for a lot of people so give em a try. You can return them if they don't work.

Love these shoes. Very comfortable for walking. Width is just right. Arch support is sufficient without being too stiff.

These shoes are super light, very flexible and athletically stylish. They are not all that cushy and the arch is kind of weird, however. I'm hoping that with wear and tear, they will kind of soften up a little. I don't use these for running because I need a little more cushion/support but as an everyday casual, athletic shoe, they are great! And I if you are between sizes, go up. They run a little small.

Very lightweight and a good feel. I would like a bit more cushion. I walk 10 miles a day 5 days a week so I do not think they will last long.

I was a huge fan of the original Nike Free Run for my weekday training runs, so when they wore out after hundreds of miles it was time for an update. It seems like there are some slight structural differences from the original version with the back heel area being lower than the original. My feet don't feel as secure in this newer version, but overall I think these are the most comfortable minimalist type shoes for this runner with zero arch and bouts of plantar fasciitis. I tried the new Brooks Pure line that mimics the Nike Free but found the area around on the top of the foot around the toes to be way too wide, so I'm sticking with these!
