Excellent craftsmanship & fit. But like its sibling Sawtooth 2, the soles wear out prematurely. Oboz needs to beef up their soles with Vibram.

The fit is great other than a little tight in width. They make your feet very secure and stable. Hopefully the will will loosen up as they wear in.

Been hiking a long time trying different shoes to help me get where I want to go. Since finding Oboz - have stopped looking for another brand as these shoes fit the best. In particular, the heel cup is perfect for my foot. Hike with dog in all kinds of weather, terrain and the waterproofing is outstanding. This is my fourth pair. Love that my feet are not tired at the end of the adventure.

Very supportive for a low shoe and quite comfortable even when I've spent the whole day on my feet. And as I live in the PNW, being waterproof is important.

My Obz shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I wear them all the time in the house, around town and when hiking flat or mountain trails.

Received my order promptly and went for my daily hike with my dog. Love the fit and the footbed performs excellent on the trails. Great support, traction, and comfort. Glad I went with the waterproof style this time.

Probably, the most comfortable boot Ive worn. The bottom peeled off after many hiking trips in the Sierras and New Zealand. Living in Hawaii is tough on rubber. So I bought a new pair. Im sure Ill have many great hiking trips. My old pair lasted 10 years.

These really are remarkable boots and I just ordered another pair of the exact same boot in different color to have. These are so well built it will take many years to wear them out.

Love them!!! Great traction, water proof, good fit, what more could you ask for. I wore them once on a casual walk to break them in prior to me going hiking out in the Leavenworth area. Did several hikes and one in the pouring rain, and the shoes did great. Highly recommend them.

I love this shoe as I have loved all of the 8 pairs of Oboz shoes I have had in the last decade. I wear the Oboz mostly because of the width of my foot makes it really difficult to get comfortable in other brands
I bought a pair for my adult son, he also has a wide foot but has undone extensive knee and foot surgeries due to an training exercise accident, and he now wears them all the time.
I have had some trouble with parts of the sole separating on my Bridiger mid length but I hope that has now been addressed.

I tried both the Firebrand II Low and the Bridger Low side by side. Zappo's AWESOME return policy makes it possible to try them side by side in my home which is very nice. The two shoes are really so similar in looks, weight, style and fit. There are some slight difference on the outside of the show but there are 2 slight but noticeable differences in the fit. The tow box on the Bridger is just a little bigger which is nice, but the Firebrand II is sufficiently big. The heal height on the Bridger and Firebrand II are different and this was the deciding factor for me to choose the Firebrand II. The Bridger's heal is low and I felt like I was going to walk out of it. The Firebrand has a slightly higher heal that keeps your heal in the shoe and mad it a bit more comfortable.

The ordering delivery experience were fine, but not without error.
When I ordered I made one simple request which was neither fulfilled, nor even acknowledged. I asked to please provide flat laces instead of round, if thats what they were to come with.
I have difficult feet so, Including this pair, Ive bought literally this same shoes four times. This was the first time purchasing directly from Oboz instead of REI (they dont carry them anymore). Two pairs had flat laces. Including these, two have had round laces, which simply dont stay tied. Ive tried all the usual tying techniques to have them hold better and they dont work.
Please supply me with flat laces as requested.

This is my third pair of Oboz.
When I put on the first pair, they felt different from any shoe that I have ever had, and over 66 years, that is a lot of shoes/boots/running shoes.
As silly as this sounds, It is almost as if the shoe and the foot become one. Both the stability and the gripping are unbelievable.
