I have a wide foot so I sized up to a 40 instead of 39. Glad this shoe comes with the soft footbed and regular/wide. I've been breaking in for over a week and have not had any blisters or sore spots. I'm a chacos wearer but very happy with my first pair of Birks.

I tried the Florida with the soft footbed, hoping the result would be better than my experience in the 1970s. Well, the footbed is better, unlike the rock-hard originals. I liked the three straps, that adjusted great for my slim foot. But, my arch doesn't match the arch of the sandal, and the ridge at the outside of the sandal was a killer. Darn.

The soft footbed is my favorite footbed. I have painful plantar fasciitis and the Birkenstock soft footbed feels like a dream. I ordered the Florida in a neutral tan (mocha?) Birkibuc. I like the Birkibuc. It was soft against my skin. I have a pair of the Birkibuc sandals in a pattern that I’ve had for a year or more and they are wearing well. I wear them a lot and they’re durable and still look nice. I like the coppery-colored buckles. They look nice against the neutral straps. I ordered these in a regular and I’m sending them back because they are too wide for my narrow, low-volume feet. I had to tighten the straps down as far as they would go and because they are so wide, the shoes look odd on my feet. I was also concerned about tripping in them. I will try a narrow width or a different style and see if those will work.

I needed to return these because the footbed is too wide for my flat, low volume feet. If Zappo’s carried this shoe in a narrow, I would order them... With many of the Birkenstock styles, there are too few holes in the straps for me to tighten the straps down enough to keep the shoes on my feet. However, with the Florida, this wasn’t a problem... On the upside, I have a pair of Birkenstocks with the birkibuc material and I like it. It’s soft against my feet and it seems durable... The mocha color is very neutral and would look nice with many other colors... The Florida is one of my favorite styles appearance-wise.

The moment I placed them on, they were comfortable. I like that they are wide enough for my foot to more naturally rest in and walk since they have enough room. Also, I appreciated the arch support. I did experience a little temporary adjusting to the strap after walking for a while. It caused some dicomfort for a while. I adjusted the straps, and this seemed to help. At this point they no longer cause discomfort. I have had to use these almost exclusively while my toe is healing and they have been very helpful.

If you have trouble with pronation and supination while walking this seems to help. The feel of the footbed is definitely different from the traditional Birkenstock footbed so beware if you are picky about that. It may take a day or two to get use to this footbed. Wear maybe a couple of hours for the first couple of days only before trying to do a full day in these if you have sensitive feet.

Loved the soft bed! I have a high arch and the last strap over the instep rubbed a blister. I am pretty sure that it will be fine after a few wearings.

I really like the soft footbed. I am recovering from surgery, and my foot is pretty tender, so the softness helps. I also like that the straps are adjustable - one foot is still swollen, so I can make the straps looser than the other shoe.

I love Birks, but tbh I wish I had spent the extra $25 to get real leather. I have bunions and the synthetic upper doesn't stretch the way leather would.

I ordered these shoes after trying on a pair that someone else had. They were comfortable and a perfect fit. I ordered these and they are tight and hurt my bunion. Same shoes, different store.

I have had about ten pairs of Birkenstocks over the years, and this is the first time I have felt disappointed in the purchase. It's not the soft footbed--that is great and instantly comfortable, though it will not last as long as the traditional footbed. My problem with this pair is the Birkibuc material. I've worn these daily for a week, and the material is already coming apart, with threads peeling from the felt-like surface underneath the straps, and on one foot the strap is separating from the footbed in the spot where the ball of my foot creases. In short--I'm still a Birkenstock fan, but I regret my choice of the Birkibuc material because I don't think these will stay nice looking for very long.

I have super wide flat feet. The wide is perfect but the arch on the shoes are too high - so high that it hurts to stand. These would be perfect for someone with moderate to high arches - not good for the super flat feet. I love the style.

This isn’t the show that was delivered. But my daughter has to keep it because she needed them for school the next day.

First few days I was very unsure about comfort level for the price. I felt like my feet could not figure out a happy place and I was about to return them. Then I decided to just wear for little longer…well, they became my most comfy go-to shoes. I am now ready to buy another pair in black leather.

This shoe has solved my foot problems. Birkenstocks are the only shoes I can wear these days.

Bought many pairs of these. Comfy and like how they form to your foot. Adjustable. Highly recommend.

Love this shoe but so wish birks could be more waterproof cause those EVA waterproof birks just don’t cut it. But this shoe is great!! I got the 41 wide/regular and feels supportive and soft also not really painful to break in at least presently after about a month of wearing them.
