I was so excited for these and when they came and I tried them on, they were so tight on my calves I had to return them. I do have muscular calves but I haven't had this problem in awhile, perhaps because they are so tall. If you have remotely large calves I doubt these would work for you.

TRUE BLUE NOT THE SAME COLOR! I loved the lighter blue in the pictures of this boot, but when I got them they were a very dark, purple-blue. I'm sending them back because they are too similar to my dark jeans color. Zappos needs to update the color to match the real color of the boot!

At first I liked these and thought I could handle wearing them every time it rained. However, the more and more it rains, the less and less my patience runs. My calfs are just a bit under 15" at their thickest, and I still get a good amount of suction. I wore them today for the first time with no socks. That was a big mistake. I have blisters on both my ankles and they took me a good 20 minutes to get off. It is still raining and had to take my dog out so I put on a pair of socks and put the boots right back on. I am currently writing this review while taking a break before I attempt to take the other one off. They are definitely much easier to take off with socks than without, but that is not saying a lot. There is still some flexibility and shimmying involved. I sprained my lower back about 10 months ago and have been going to physical training for some time, and the amount of effort it takes to take these off (with socks on) literally puts me in pain. The ankle part is just very narrow. I have never had a problem with shoes or boots of any kind as far as getting them on or off or the circumference of the shaft. They are great looking boots for being rain boots, but I am considering selling them to Platos or something like that since they are so difficult. The foot part actually feels good, and they are pretty comfortable as far as walking in them. I live in Chicago so I walk a lot. The inside have kind of a lining, but not much. There is still a good amount of exposed rubber, which is probably why if you sweat in these, even just due to the humidity, getting them off will be a challenge (even with socks on). Honestly, I really wish I could return these and have found the Le Chameau in my size and on sale.

I was so excited when I got these in the mail, I tried them on quickly, they fit ok, so I wasn't worried about it. First snowfall here in Boston has finally come, and now that I put on some thick socks, I can't even get them on. I'm exchanging them for the next size up, which should be fine. I feel that they run a little bit small, especially in the ankle, that's where my problem was. I highly recommend ordering up a size. Fortunately Zappos makes it really easy to exchange/return. I had a hard time finding where to print up the return label, so I gave them a call and talked a very nice and helpful gentleman on the phone (I wish I remembered his name!!). So have no fear, even if they don't fit, you can easily return them.

I really liked these boots, however they are narrow around the ankle. I have pretty thin ankles but they gave me blisters on the bone that juts out to the side. They are also very difficult to get on and off...

I bought these (instead of Sperrys which I've used previously) because they came in awesome colors and the reviews indicated that they were a quality inexpensive rain boot. I did love the color, but the fit was really small. Reviewers noted, for example, that if you wear a 8.5 or 9, buy the 9 since the run a bit small. I'm a true 9, and felt a 10 would be way too big. Well, after trying these on, I wonder if even the 10 would be too small. These were so tight I had to have help pulling them off - and I ordered 5 different Kamik rain boot styles so I could find the right one (why I love Zappos' free returns!). Same problem with all of them. And because they fit so snugly, the boot itself gets misshapen and is not cute. Too tight on foot, too tight on calves, just not sized right at all. Wish they fit because they are really attractive in the box.

These boots fit perfectly once on and were very comfortable, however they were a little difficult to get on and almost impossible to get off - even with very thin socks. I also have very narrow feet. These are beautiful rain boots, but I am not going to go through the struggle of getting them on and off each time that I wear them. I will be returning them.

These were soooo tiny!! I wear an 8.5 and these were nine and I couldn't get my foot in! Otherwise I'm sure they would have been great because I have a very narrow foot

Calf of boot was too tight and I do not have big calves. Not worth the price. Had trouble removing boot on first try. Boot felt cheaply made. I had high hopes for these boots. Return in progress unfortunately.

Was a bit disappointed as apparently my search for wide calf boots brought me to this pair. I love the way they look. But as I tried shoving my huge calfs into these chicken leg boots. I gave up. I never got my foot to the bottom. I wish I didnt have to return them. So WIDE CALF PEOPLE BEWARE! DOES NOT FIT OUR SAUSAGE LEGS!

These are the most uncomfortable things I've ever put on my feet ... twice.
The first time I wore them I didn't wear socks... (stupid... I get it) I had blisters all over my feet by the time I got to the train. Didn't know how I was actually going to make it home in them. I considered going barefoot (in Queens NY... that's how bad the pain was) The second time I wore them, I wore socks - but you might need 2 - 3 pairs of thick socks to protect your feet/ankles from the rubbing of the unforgiving ... rubber.
I have never owned rain boots as an adult. I thought at age 50 it was time to start. I was wrong.
Yes - your feet will be dry. If you're only walking to your car from your house, you're probably going to be fine. But these are terribly uncomfortable. I live/work in NYC and walk about 1.5-2 miles during my round-trip commute. Don't do this to your feet.
Now... where to dispose of them?

I could not get my foot into this boot. I wear a 9 1/2 and the 10 looked like a 7. Very sad, had to send back! I was even afraid an 11 would be too small !!!!

I already have the Kamik Olivia's in a 10. They can be a little hard to get on and off so I wanted a boot that was easier and that I could also wear thicker socks (I can only wear the thinnest of socks with the Olivia). I ordered the Jennifer in an 11 to ensure extra space. OMG. I couldn't even get the boot on!! I'm utterly baffled at how a boot by the same company in a LARGER size than my norm won't even go on my foot at all. I love the look of this boot but have to return it.

I ordered these along with Hunters to try them both out....I REALLY wanted these to work and as soon as I put my foot into them versus Hunters I was in love...they were comfy and lightweight...HOWEVER!!!! I could not get my foot out of them to save my life....I struggled and fought and fought....finally after 5 minutes of struggling and my foot killing me I got it out....I maybe could have tried a wider boot but I have a narrow foot so idk I wasn't about ready to send the Hunters back and wait for a wider boot to arrive....So weird how my feet wouldn't come out....so disappointing and made me sad

This is a beautiful boot but because of the narrow shaft and no side zipper it was almost impossible getting the shoe on and even harder getting it off. Had to return.

Disappointed in these boots and will return them. I ordered my usual size, but the boots did not fit at all. They were sized small and narrow. They were very hard to get on even without socks, very tight in the ankle area, and I had to pull and tug like crazy to get them off. With socks, I could not get my foot into the shoe part at all, got stuck in the ankle area. I wanted these boots for gardening and I have to wear socks to absorb foot perspiration. I will look for other brands. Looks like the Kamik Canadian sizing is not going to work for me.

I really wanted to love these boots, but they were so difficult to get on and off, that I just couldn't justify keeping them. Once they were on, they were comfortable and even fit my larger calves. My feet are on the wider side, but I have never had to order wide shoes, so it was frustrating that they were so hard to get on.

Cute and well made. Might be good for someone with thin legs but I could barely get the boots on and it took two people to get them off.

I loved this shoe but didn't walk around the house in it 'til I needed 'em. Not sure if all rubber boots are this way or if it's my calves which are not skinny or muscular but the stiff shaft just would knock against my calves with each step. Oh, I so wanted these boots! In hindsight maybe the Kamik Olivia solves the problem with the shorter shaft. Unfortunately, I didn't walk around the house in those either before returning!

So, to start, I'm not a very big online shopper and let me tell you why. I read review after review on these boots and everyone seemed to be very pleased with what they had purchased. So after long contemplation I broke down and decided to order two pairs not only for the price but I thought they were just as cute as any other name brand rain boot out there. I bought the black and green with black sole, both size 8. (I wear 7 1/2 - 8 in any shoe.) When these arrived I was so excited I ripped open the boxes and went to try the black pair first. I couldn't even get my feet in them! I looked at the bottom and both said size 8. Sad, I thought maybe they were mis-marked. So I pulled out the green pair the right foot first and it went on snug, but it fit. Then the left foot. It was a complete struggle for me to put my foot into it and there was no way I could wear them with such difference in size! Immediately I called customer service and explained my frustration. The gal was extremely kind and let me exchange for a pair of Hunters I had been looking at. I truly hope these work or no more online ordering for this girl ever again!

The reviews for these were so mixed, but I decided to get them since Zappos' customer service is so consistent! Unfortunately, they were not a good fit. As one reviewer said, they are very narrow in the calf/ankle/heel: so narrow, in fact, that once I managed to wedge my entire foot inside the boot, I had to enlist help getting it off! Oddly, the actual shoe part fit well - size 7 was only the slightest bit snug (odd for a rain boot). Although there is a strange, bumpy texture on the footbed, and a hard, sort of belt-type thing which wraps around the inside of the heel - which might be uncomfortable, but I will never know! I am really disappointed because I need rain boots, and I refuse to pay for Hunter's. Perhaps a different style in the Kamik, But really, after that style, I wonder if they are just poorly designed. On the plus side: they at least look well-made.

Ugh, the worse boots ever. This is my first pair of rain boots - it's really hard to find boots that fit a slender calf. All the reviews said this one does, but in actuality, it's designed for ginormous, hefty calves, just like all the others. It also tugs on your socks so much, that they bunch up near your toes and you wind up barefoot in the boot - which really stinks if you live in the city and have to walk 1/2 mile to the subway, or if it's very cold outside and you need boots for the slush. They are quite large and heavy, and very very hard to walk in. I do not recommend this boot. Wearing them all day at work, I actually lost productivity due to feeling so uncomfortable all day.

Not sure. It's nearly impossible to get a perfect fitting shoe online unless it's for kids.

These are the worst rain boots! Were they designed for flamingos?! I am giving them 1 star, simply because I could not get them on. As other reviewers have noted, it is impossible to get your foot inside of these boots. I tried with and without socks and had only marginally better results with socks. The real problem is that they do not have any kind of lining, so when you try to slide your foot in, it creates sort of a vacuum and your foot gets "stuck". Once you can actually shove your foot in halfway, that is after 15 minutes of wiggling your toes and trying to hold the shaft in a way that SOME air gets in there, you realize that you will not be able to go any further. That's when you decide that you'd better take your foot out, but it will take you double the time and effort to pry it out of these boots. Whoever designed these must have the skinniest calf and the narrowest foot.
