I can't seem to catch a break with Minnetonka and sizes lately. I returned a boot size 8 because it was too big. I tried a 7, and I couldn't even fit my foot into it. I don't think a 1/2 size would have made a difference if it was available.

I have always wanted a pair of hippie boots like these. When I ordered them I was so excited for them to arrive! Even though there was no arch support, I planned to insert Vionic orthotic supports (which really did work well); however, there is a blade of leather at the back of both boots, ~2" up from the bottom, that cuts into my heel so bad that I am going to have to send them back. I am so disgusted! They are so cute but so uncomfortable!

I think these are super cute -- but they are the hardest thing to get on! I have one foot chronically swollen just a bit from surgery -- and have a terrible time finding comfortable shoes. I haven't given up on these yet, but am only wearing them around the house. Hope that they stretch out and become easier to actually get on. Several reviews said to buy a size down. I did not do that - and can't imagine how difficult that would have been. And there is no way I would ever get them on if I wore socks, so I hope those that said they fade onto your skin are not correct. Love Zappos! But if these boots don't get better in a day or 2 I'm sending them back. Wish they came in a Wide width.

This boot runs very small. I ordered the size I usually wear in a boot and, even without socks, I cannot get the boot on. The color of the boot is more a wine color than is shown on the website.

I ordered a 6.5 because that is my normal shoe size, and they were way too tight. I sent them back and got a 7, I am waiting to get them back to see if the size 7 does me better. :)

I had to send these back because they were very undersized. Per the reviews posted here I ordered two sizes larger to allow my daughter room to grow, but the size 5 was half an inch smaller than the size 3 boots that she is growing out of. And they are indeed very narrow, although given the moccasin styling I think they would be somewhat forgiving in that respect. Too bad, as they are cute. But seriously this 5 regular should be labeled 2½ narrow.

I love the look of these and I was imagining a lot of cute outfits, but they were too narrow. I work in a career that I am on my feet and have to look up to date fashion wise. I own Naots, Birkenstocks, Danskos ,etc and these were so uncomfortable that I returned them. I felt that my regular sized 8 foot would fall over the sides. They were not true to size and you definitely couldn't wear a sock in them. They hurt and rubbed when bare foot. Would not recommend.

I usually buy kid sizes in mini Tonka because they’re more comfortable for me. I purchased a pair of kids sized at in December and took them out of the box recently only to discover that they were to right feet. Returned them and ordered these and I’m very unhappy. They are super narrow although the length is accurate, very painful to wear and I am thoroughly disappointed.

Sizing was really off. Hard to say whether it's a full size or half size off - I ordered my normal size of 5.5 and they were way too small.

Ouch and double ouch! Wonderfully cute bootie. Very soft on the outside but there’s torture waiting for you inside. I liked the snug fit at my regular size six. However, I could feel every seam inside the shoe since it is sewn from pieces. Ouch! The cuff is a little too tight at the ankles and it felt funny walking on the bumpy little soles. Definitely not the comfortable moccasins from years before. This shoe has all style but no comfort. They have to go back - quickly.

absolutely loved the style and color of this boot and was so incredibly disappointed having to return them next day they are the absolute smallest most narrow boot I have ever seen in my entire life had them on for only 2 seconds and toes were killing me!! beware!!

These boots are made in the Dominican Republic. Not in USA anymore. They weighed a ton & offered no support whatsoever. I even put in an inlay-nope--felt like I was walking on a flat heavy table. It is cute, but I think there are cute boots out there that don't feel like you've stuck your foot into a cement block.

Bought these for comfort. The color is beautiful, and they are very cute but NOT comfortable. They are incredibly narrow and the seams and hard heel support dug into my feet.

I really wanted to love these shoes but they were so uncomfortable when I put them on. They were very narrow and also hurt when I bent my toes. I know they may stretch but I did not want to suffer until they did.

I thought they looked pretty good in picture, but maybe because I wear size 11 they just looked really long. I put them on and the way the seam was sewn major bump that rubbed on my heel. I knew they were flat, but think they would be hard to wear for any length of time. I don't think the quality is there either, when they sewed them they never looked at the seams, no pride in the workmanship of this shoe. So thank you Zappos for awesome return, make it a great experience buying over the internet, knowing that there will be no problem in returning.

Love Zappos, but hate these boots. I am returning them! I ordered them because I thought they looked nice and thought I would enjoy wearing them this winter. I used to have moccasin boots that were quite comfortable. I have a medium width foot with a narrow heel. The most irritating thing about these is that because of my narrow heel, I couldn't keep the boots from slipping every time I walked. Even worse, I had to pull my socks up repeatedly (and I don't normally have that problem with boots)! I had to add arch support and they still weren't comfortable for me. Finally, I could see the glue on these boots, which made them look cheap and sloppy. I'm going to give up on the boots and try the Merrell brand next as I have read good things about those. My boyfriend just bought a pair of the Merrell Jungle Mocs and he forgets to take them off when he gets home from work!

I would've loved to keep these shoes. But the 'brick' color is dyed with something that bleeds onto my bare feet, on to socks. As our skin is the largest organ in the body I don't want to 'feed' it chemical dyes that are as unstable as found in my pair of Minnetonka ankle hi boots.

These were very narrow. I wear 6-7 in womens, but ordered these in the youth size 4 & the kids size was a perfect fit & wider. Much more comfortable.
