I have 4 kids. I always try to buy Dakine backpacks. They are durable, affordable, and nice looking. My kids all want large ones.

I bought this for my husband, around month ago. He likes this bag very much. First at all, bag is very functional and secondary - bag looks very nice.

So far, I am very impressed. There is lots of space to put all the stuff you need. It fits a 17" laptop in the pouch plus binders and text books.

This backpack is great! I got it for my husband for his birthday and he loves it. He had a different Dakine backpack but needed one with a little more room to fit all of his school books. This one works great and even has little extra space for other things but it's not too big. Great backpack!

Lots of space. Very comfortable and supportive, love the cross strap. The cooler pouch is definitely a nice touch.

This backpack is really cool with just enough color to make it different! It's big enough for my 10 year old son's 3” binder and lunch box but isn't too big. It has great pockets for storing stuff, too.

Best backpack investment I have ever made. Perfect size for laptop and school book storage. Plenty of pockets here and there for your storage needs. Husband was so happy for this "upgrade" from his previous backpack. Great buy and worth every penny!

Dakine again has a great, well-made and sturdy backpack. I lug a large laptop, multiple notebooks and large medical books for school. For the blue/grey color, the pictured grey is darker than what it is, as it is a pattern of thin lines that meld together in the picture. Still very sleek, contrasting colors. Straps are well-padded too.

I (heart) this backpack! Everything fits perfectly inside. And it took me forever to find the right one for my 15" laptop, like 3 actually before I found this one. I love it, and it's in my two favorite colors - green and black!

Great bag. The only disappointing feature is that it only has one large pocket and this is a bummer for use as a school backpack. Otherwise it gets highest of marks.

As a college student, this backpack meets my needs. It's a good size, but not too big. Compartments: I didn't really use the insulated front compartment because it seemed like anything edible I put in there always got squished beyond recognition. The second zippered compartment has additional sections for all of your pens, pencils, gum, etc. It's quite roomy and always had extra space despite having graphing calculators and all my other junk in it. The main compartment held multiple books, notebooks and the occasional change of clothes. The padded laptop section of the main compartment is nice. I used it a few times and it held up well. The top zippered section is perfect for sunglasses and keys and still has room for a padlock. Materials/Build: The shoulder padding is a bit on the conservative side. Outer material is waterproof and doesn't dirty up quickly. It's sturdy and will last. (I've had mine over a year now. Still looks new.) I would definitely recommend.

I bought this in the 33-litre size for my middle and high school sons. They are entering 7th and 9th grade. These packs are perfect! I also ordered similar sized packs (>or= 33L), but somehow they didn't fit my kids' books and binder as well. Maybe it is because this pack is made for students and the others, although of similar volume, were made for hiking, etc. My kids can get a 4" binder and 3 large, thick text books into this bag. And, they can even squeeze a spiral notebook or 2 in! And that's just along the bottom. There is room on top of the books for a lunch and or rolled (or stuffed in) hoodie (sometimes both, depending on how many books they need to bring home on a given day. Love the fleece-lined sunglass pocket on the top front. My older son likes to wear sunglasses, as a fashion accessory, to school. Also, the insulated pocket is a handy place to stick a beverage to keep it cool longer on hot days. But I do feel that to be really useful, this insulated pocket should be larger. There is also a middle pocket, behind the smaller insulated pocket, with places to stick pens, pencils, etc. There is a smaller zippered "pouch" in there, as well, for "valuables." Another great feature of this pack is that it has straps that extend horizontally from the arm straps, across the wearer's chest, and snaps closed. This is especially good for when my sons ride their bikes with a heavy pack. The chest strap keeps the pack from sliding sideways and throwing the rider off balance.

Nice pack. Roomy, sturdy material, seems well constructed, and looks good. A great pick for my high school aged son, at a good price. I was skeptical of the built-in cooler, but it already came in handy on a day hike.

What a unique backpack! The fabric combo is so stylish but yet understated. My teenage son is very pleased. Lots of room and functionality.

Got this for my brother, as he was looking for a backpack that had an insulated pocket to keep my niece's snacks cool and fresh while out and about. He loves the color as well, and he's not the type of guy who wears bright or colorful clothing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this pack for casual use.

I love, love, love this backpack. I use it for work. I used to carry a leather bag but I was lugging so much stuff back and forth from work and home everyday, I needed something bigger. This bag is great! I love the color, first off. It has lots of space and pockets for everything I need for work. I work on a high school campus, when I wear this backpack I get confused for a student. Totally recommend.

So far so good. My daughter has to carry heavy books and large binders around school every day. The largest Jansport backpack we could find was a tight squeeze...a hole appeared in the bottom within the first 4 months of school. We tried a North Face backpack but returned as it was less roomy than the Jansport. This backpack easily fits her large binders and she can even squeeze her lunch in (although not in the insulated cooler area, which is pretty small). it has a sleek look for how roomy it is. The straps are very comfortable and it seems sturdier than other backpacks we've had. Time will tell...

Great amount of space for a busy student with a full load. I also use it a lot as an overnight/ weekend bag, good for road trips too especially since there is a cooler pouch built in for food and drinks.

I bought this for my mid-20's son who had a previous model stolen. He loves it!! He likes it better than his old one. This one has the, I guess, camouflage motif. It's comfy and has lots of pockets.

I just purchased this backpack for my 14 year old nephew. The Cascadia print backpack is even nicer in person. Its a great size for high school students since it has lots of rooms for their textbooks and binders. Lots of pockets and the middle strap is a nice addition. The backpack is definitely made with great quality and craftsmanship. Looks like it will last him for at least a couple of years. The price is reasonable since you get what you pay for. He loves that no one else at school has the same bag. I loved the free 2 day shipping from Zappos. Would definitely recommend this product to other parents looking for a backpack for their teenager.
