I really wanted a pair of Allen Edmonds but bought these as a more affordable option. The overall styling and feel of the shoe is good and I am happy wearing them, but there are a few things that disappoint me after about 9 months of wearing them. The shoe is very unconstructed feeling. The sole has little to no rigidity, making them wear more like moccasins than oxfords. Makes them more comfortable for casual wear, but makes the shoe look a bit odd with dressier clothing. The soles continue to get more and more pliable as they wear in. My biggest disappointment is with the heel. Not that it has affected comfort, but I recently scuffed the heel, which revealed that it is in fact a block of plastic underneath some thin leather veneer! I assume this means they aren't repairable the way true stacked leather heels are. Also, in contrast with true leather heels (on which scuffs can be polished into character-giving features), I can't really mask the bright white plastic underneath. Bottom line: I would expect these issues with a hundred-dollar shoe, but at the price these sell at, I'm not sure it's money well spent. Twice the price would have gotten me a pair of Allen Edmonds that would last at LEAST a decade, instead of these which will likely last less than two years.

I am going to go back and get the other colors in this shoe. It is extremely stylish but more importantly comfortable. I would buy this shoe 100 times over again. Great shoe. I have received a ton of compliments!

I wish all of my shoes were this comfortable. I really love these shoes, I get compliments about them everywhere I go. The leather is very nice, and soft, there was no break in time. The color and finish is excellent as well, they look like super expensive shoes, but they were really much less!

These shoes look really classy with dark and light slicks, but really stand out with darker blues. I've worn them with dark jeans and with shorts as well. They're very well made. The only downside is the leather is quite stiff and takes a few weeks to really break in. Don't wear them without socks at first, or your Achilles will pay dearly.

Out of 6 other black dress shoes my husband chose this one. It lacks the leather sole that I wanted so badly for him, but he was happy with the Vibram sole. It is the same company that makes the soles for his combat boots. We both really liked the flash of wood to break up the blackness and adds some excitement. He admits that it isn't the most comfortable in the heel, but he figures that will loosen up with a couple of wears. If not some old fashioned mole skin or some Foot Petals heel pads will fix it.

A purchase I'm proud of, as I might have spent much more on an everyday black office shoe. Well made, comfortable and just a little edge with the stitching. Highly recommend.

Shoes were too light for my taste. I polished with brown, then black. This gave the shoe a nice patina. Pleased with outcome.

The bottom to these shoes are funny. They are a great style for a work environment that isn't full on business dress.

I ordered the lighter brown color. Buyer beware, these are really orange! It's not a bad color with a gray suit or something, but it's not as tan/light brown as I thought they'd be. Comfortable shoe overall, and the tread is great on icy sidewalks. Buy them for comfort, but be sure you are in the mood for a bright pair of shoes.

I wanted some good looking wingtip shoes, but didn't want to spend a fortune. These have been worth the money so far. I like them.

This is a quality shoe that runs about 1 size large, so order smaller than you typically would. I've worn these shoes with my dark blue suit and with jeans and they look fantastic. I really like the traction provided by the soles; compared to my other dress shoes, they allow me to move with greater confidence. Overall, I'll look at more shoes made by this company. And Zappos delivered as promised, no complaints.

Extremely comfortable right out of the box. I had never worn Sebago shoes before. I will definitely buy more shoes from this company in the future.

I usually wear a 9.5, 10 depending on the shoe. I bought this shoe in a 9 because they didn't have a 9.5 and that's usually what I get in dress shoes. These shoes do run a half size bigger like most reviewers say. The 9 fit perfect. The leather seemed a little stiff though but I'm pretty sure they will break in nicely. The color of the shoes is that more of a pumpkin color but the tints of light brown on the heel and toe give the color a darker tint. All that's left to see is how the bottom will hold up because there will be be some dancing going on in these. ;)

These shoes are great! Very stylish and comfortable after a few wears. My wife says they are very nice and wasn't sure how they would look at first. They do run a bit large, I'm a 9 but ordered a half size down, perfect. They do need time to break in, put some nasty burns on the back of my heals. Wear dress socks at first, and maybe something to soften the leather at the back of the shoe inside. Evvery man should own a pair of wingtips!

The service and the product were awesome, I am glad that I choose Zappos and now I will be a long time customer. The customer service person was a model customer service rep, I wish I had people like that working for me.

Good, comfortable shoes. The color is a bit flat, but the contrast sole is nice. Offers a little jazz, but not over the top like the neon soles so popular now. Only complaint: I don't really like the dots on the sole, they're a little rough around the edges.

I bought these shoes on a whim and am glad I did. I now wear them more than any other shoe I own. They definitely catch people's attention. I usually wear a 12, but bought 11.5 because 12 wasn't available. They fit perfectly. So bear in mind that they run a bit large. Break in and comfort were normal for a shoe of this style. Cleaning the canvas is a bit different than the leather, but is doable. It was my first experience with Sebago and it was a good one. Overall, a very good shoe.

Shoes look awesome right out of the box. I have received many compliments from my friends, and they are always noticed, in a positive manner. As for comfort, it took a day or two to break them in, but once they are, they are absolutely great. Many guys complain about their dressier shoes hurting them after a couple of hours, but these, you can't even notice them after a while! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love these shoes! I had been searching for a pair of wingtips for a few months. As soon as I laid my eyes on the Filson canvas, I fell in love. The shoes are extremely comfortable in every way. The leather stretched out after a few days and the Vibram soles absolutely live up to their name. I wear them quite often at work and get tons of compliments. The only thing I would ever be concerned with about these shoes is that the leather isn't as dark as the Zappos image leads you to believe. In the sun, they are almost orange-ish. Honestly they just make them stand out a little more, but that obviously isn't a problem for me. It might just be a problem though if you are going for a conservative look, in which case these shoes probably aren't for you in the first place. My recommendation, buy these if you are looking to spice up your shoe collection!

Nice shoes to wear. Good looking,comfortable, no break in period. I have never owned this brand before so I'm not certain on craftsmanship or quality and if you are wanting arch support you'll need an insert. Over all very satisfied.

Reading the other reviews, I ordered half a size down. Still had to return them for a smaller pair so ended up a full size smaller than normal. Otherwise, a very good looking shoe for 'business casual' dress.
