Customer Reviews New Balance WW577 Hook and Loop

Ok, I got these shoes for my 90 yr old mom who insists on wearing sandals. We hoped we could convince her to wear walking shoes, but she said these “fit” in terms of length but felt so big on her feet that she couldn’t move comfortably … I don’t know that is the shoe’s fault. These seem to have solid soles and would offer good stability. One of the concerns is that these “seem to propel you forward”, which seems like a positive thing for walking shoes, but I guess when using a walker, she felt the shoes were pushing her to go forward too much/too fast

Right out of the box super comfortable and very supportive! I like the Velcro closures. A great shoe!

For me, this shoe is just perfect. Fits well and my feet feel totally fine. This has been my favorite shoe for many years.

This order was replacing a previous pair of New Balance Walking Shoes and the fit and comfort were ideal.

These are great for my daughter with disabilities. They are stylish and still have the velcro easy to do closures . They work great!

I've been buying these as exercise & walking shoes for years in both cream & black. I have arthritis in the hands so I depend on the hook & loop fastenings. They adjust well & deal well with damp weather, are good for physical therapy & aerobic exercise. I like to alternate colors to remind myself to let the shoe insides to dry properly.

New Balanced shoes are always great. You don't have to "break them in."

Excellent fit and stylish

Overall this is a good shoe, sturdy. However, the top where you Velcro is stiff and was hard at first to get the tab to all the way Velcro. Left side still has a gap from tab to edge, allowing it to catch on things/things catch on it. Comfort is 4.5 as this caused the shoe to be loose.

The fit is great on the NB 577 H&L. However, I previously wore the 813 which have better cushioning and the tongue is softer, less stiff. I tried the 577 as the 813 has not been available in with H&L. The 577 will do, but I would prefer the 813 be available.

Comfortable from day one - no break-in period. Have been wearing this model for 10+ years. Roomy toe box means no corns on my toes. They wear like iron and the Velcro closure doesn’t wear out before the shoe wears out. Did I mention how comfortable they are? Thank you Zappos for carrying my size!
