Excited to get my shoes so fast.They fit good which was a big surprise, because extra wide are so hard to find.They didn't even need a break-in period.I was so very pleased with my purchase.

These are wonderful walking shoes. Loved the look.and style . . But I couldn't use because my orthotic is extra thick and the shoe was not deep enough to accommodate it ( the removable foot bed advertised was very thin-. I think some companies make 2 or more removable layers

I bought these for my elderly mother who needs a wider shoe due to her feet swelling. The adjustable velcro is great for this situation. Not stylish, but they do the job! She is happy with them. They have a nice wide toe area so there is no pressure on her toes.

I have been buying this shoe (basically) for the past few years. the Velcro straps ALWAYS rip before the shoe is worn out. the past design of the straps is even more inferior. they began to tear after a month or so. it is too much of an expensive shoe to be no good after a month. I would like to buy a new pair, but I will NOT buy the same design. it is NO good.

This is a great sneaker for someone with plantar fascia, osteoarthritis in the big toe, or bunions. It has a thick sole without a lot of give. It is designed with a wide toe for ease of movement. If you have a problem with arch support, you may want to switch out the insole (which is easy). Since the arch support is not optimal for me, I gave this sneaker a 4 star rating in comfort. I have 5 other New Balance sneakers in this line as they were recommended by my podiatrist. I have them with laces and with the velcro. The ones with the laces look a little more fashionable than the ones with Velcro. But neither will make one feel feminine or young. These sneakers have a purpose and they do that well. . For plantar fascia, osteoarthritis and bunions, they accomplish the same goal as more expensive orthopedic sneakers...easy, pain free movement.

I purchased the shoes for my mom. She called me and told me she loved them. She said, the fit great and is the best pair of shoes she has had in a long time. She is very pleased with her new shoes.

Love these shoes! Excellent fit. Great walking shoe (I walk a minimum of 5 miles a day).

Runs narrow

This is probably the seventh or eighth pair of these shoes that I have purchased: I have them in black, white, and tan. I wear one or the other of them practically every day of the year (white and tan only in summer for those of you who hold to 'no white' before Memorial Day and after Labor Day!) as I am allowed to wear jeans and a t-shirt to work every day. Please note that I live in Europe and I walk a fair amount as I don't have a car and use public transportation to get everywhere. My only gripe is that I can't get Zappo's to ship internationally. So, every time I come back to the States, I buy two or three pairs to bring home. I typically go through one or two pairs each year despite the fact that I wear them every day--it is only when the interior starts to go that I toss them and pull out the another pair from my stash! The outside always looks good, regardless of my lack of shoe care...I have never done anything to care for them and they wear like iron!

These shoes were purchased for a mentally challenged woman. She has an uneven gait which causes callouses and other foot problems. She also needs velcro closures. In spite of her foot problems she loves to walk. With these shoes she has very few complaints about foot pain. This shoe is perfect for her. I would recommend it to others.

the velcro strap is too short. it only reach on the middle and I don't have big feet so I'll return this. too bad, I like it.

Bought this pair of shoes for my 100 year old mother. She loves them and she gets around great in her wheel chair in the nursing home. They fit perfect and the hook and loop is great since she can no longer tie her shoes.

I have been wearing these types of shoes for a long time. They are very comfortable. I bought many over the years and I am particularly please to buy them from Zappos because they are less expensive, my size is always available and they are delivered at my door.

As always the shoes are perfect. I have to wear an orthotic and my feet are narrow so finding a pair of shoes that is an answer to both problems is wonderful. I don't have to buy two pairs of shoes. Deep heels, true to size and reasonably priced (especially when Zappos has a sale). Zappos is really easy to shop with particularly if you know your size in particular brands and wear an unusual size like a narrow or a slender and you can send them back at no cost. Have been shopping with Zappos for years.

My young 75 year old wife suffered a stroke last year and now requires a medical device insert that requires a very wide shoe that we were unable to find until my sister in law, Susie Ledieu, introduced me to your Web site. I have been buying NB WW577 lace ups for three years. I have foot and knee problems and these have the best support ever. There is no need to break them in, just put them on and you are ready to go. Recently, I have gotten arthritis in my right hand which makes laces difficult. I tried the WW577 Hook and Loop and can not tell you how happy I am with them. I have also purchased a pair for my mother of 82 with Parkinsons and she is so happy with themas well. Please don't stop making them!

This style New Balance with the Velcro closure fits just as well as the 577 with laces. As I've gotten older my fingers have a difficult time with laces. These work and feel great!
