I never thought I'd find a "sneaker" that fits so well---but, NB does!!!

I have been wearing New Balance 928’s for the last 3 years. Since New Balance made changes to the 928’s I have been unable to find a shoe that is as comfortable as the original ones. I tried the NB 577 shoes and amazingly they are extremely comfortable. I bought them a half size larger after reading some reviews that said they run small. I usually wear a 10 and the 10 1/2 fits me really well. I like the fact the uppers are leather and not synthetic. They are roomy enough to put my own orthotics into with plenty of space to spare. They are very well cushioned and feel very much like the original 928’s at a much lesser price. I bought the black ones and I just put in an order for the white ones too. I wish they came in more colors though. I hope New Balance does not try update this shoe as it is great just the way it is.

Wonderful shoes for those who stand on concrete (retail) or walk a lot. They are incredibly ugly.. The straps are too short so the exposed bottom surface of the velcro collects threads and dirt. Nonetheless, they are extremely comfortable, last forever, provide great support and can be fastened with one hand. I've bought a dozen pairs over the years and will no doubt continue buying them until they're discontinued.

These 8W were not wide enough and that is the normal size I wear in New Balance shoes. They run small.

After shoe shopping for a month before my trip to WDW in Florida, I was down to receiving my last Zappos shipment the day before I left, so I did not get the chance to really break in these shoes before doing the 13-18K steps a day at the parks. The only issue I had was that the tongue of the shoe is very stiff and I actually developed a bruise on my left ankle from where the tongue hit on the first day of wearing them. After that, I left that shoe untied for the majority of the rest of the trip. The last couple of days (we were gone two weeks) I was able to loosely tie the shoe with no problem. The rest of the shoe handled all that walking very well. The style is a little clunky looking, but they changed the WW411 so much that it doesn't work for me anymore and I needed a good replacement for walking major steps on vacation. These shoes fit the bill. If it wasn't for the bruising from the tongue, I would have given these shoes a 5 star rating for overall and comfort. I still recommend them - perhaps if I'd found them early in my search I would have been able to break them (and the tongue) in slowly and it would not have been an issue. Something for you to be aware of, however. Zappos, as usual, was great with me being able to order shoes to try them on at home, then easy return for the ones that did not work out.

Felt too wide on my toes. Returned them. Plus: they are soft and flexible.

These shoes were very comfortable but made my feet look like flippers when looking down at them. They are wide and so are my feet, but they give far more room for toes than any wide width shoe I've tried.

The shoe fits like a hand in glove and is very comfortable to walk in. The wife loves it. But there is 1 small downside. The upper loop is too small. Too much of the velcro can be seen. That's the only reason I took of the 1 star.

Shoes were nice but due to my feet issues, I couldn't wear these shoes. I returned them for a refund.

I like the shoe. It is well padded and feels like it's made well. Unfortunately, it was a bit smaller than expected. I can always wear size 9 regular shoes without problems. This shoe was a bit tight. I returned it for a 9.5 wide for a better fit. I don't own any other shoes this size, so I think it's this particular shoe that runs a bit tight. Even so, I like the shoe. I work on my feet most of the day and I have no problem wearing them.

Overall, very pleased with this purchase. The shoe was a bit smaller and narrower than I expected, but after one or two wearings, has stretched out to be comfortable. Very good support; I do a lot of walking!

My find this New Balance Sneaker to be very stiff and rigid in time I am sure I will love them. This is my third New Balance Shoe and I love the Brand.

This is my go to shoe when I need a basic sneaker for running errands, walking. I have a wide foot with high arches. This is a basic sturdy shoe with decent arch support. My complaints are the laces are long and could use a tad more cushioning.

It is very convenient with the velco straps. i don't give 5 stars because it's not a fashionable style like some of the other New Balance product.

My mother, who is 93 years young, loves these shoes. They are available in both a D and extra wide choice, as well as velcro closing. They are comfortable, and so easy for her use every day, We have them in both white and black.

These are comfortable walking shoes with moderate support. I always wear a 6.5 shoe but had to order these in a 7 - as my normal size does not work with these shoes and wearing thicker socks, such as Smart Wool. I always have been happy with New Balance shoes.

Great shoes, but came with 2 different shoelaces. One shoe had a shoelace 7.25 inches longer than the lace on the other shoe.

I've had several New Balance walking shoes over the years. I've always ordered 9.5 medium width and they've always fit perfectly. This is the first pair that was so short my toes hit the ends and too narrow even with the shoe opened as wide as possible. Returning this pair; hopefully the next size up will fit.

This shoe fit great except it felt too low and loose in the ankle. Tightening the laces didn't fix this problem, just made the laces tight against the ankle.

I normally wear Nike athletic shoes but couldn't find the style I was accustomed to wearing so thought I'd give New Balance a try. Loved the shoes, however the NB shoes seem to run 1/2 size smaller than the Nike's I'd been wearing. So I returned them. I'd suggest trying on shoes in a store before you actually order a style other than what you're accustomed to. Zappos return policy is quite convenient and I would not hesitate to order other items from them.

New Balance have been my shoes since the 1970's. I have two pairs of these and bought another as an additional for rotation, I do not wear the same shoes every day. The white version of size 6 fit fine. This black version of size 6 is a bit tight with the same socks. However, they are solid shoes, not too heavy, with good support. They are highly recommended.
I'd also recommend:
No other brands. New Balance is IT!

I have somewhat severe bunions on both feet, and have to use custom orthotic inserts in all my shoes. I bought these because they were available in the width that was suggested by my podiatrist, as well as under $100 (hard to find in New Balance). As far as looks go, they're just basic white gym shoes. They fit fine, but aren't anything special.

Shoe shopping is always a difficult task for me. As a child, I had to wear unfashionable tie oxfords while the rest of my classmates wore fashionable loafers. The heels of the shoes would always slide up and down. Sometimes I would walk right out of the shoe unless the shoe was securely tied to my foot. Until about 15 years ago, I was able to buy narrow width AA shoes from better shoe stores. Then I was told nobody wore narrow shoes anymore, so the stores stopped carrying them. Just to make buying shoes interesting, not only is my foot narrow, the right foot also pronates due to an overly flexible or collapsed arch. This creates more fit problems for the right foot. This shoe seemed slightly wide especially in the forefoot. It also felt and sounded clunky. It didn't bind or pinch or hurt. This is the first shoe I have ever had fit in the heel and be too wide in the toes. For a New Balance shoe, this one didn't have much arch support.
