I ordered several messenger-style bags for an upcoming trip, and while none of them worked for me, thought I'd at least review them and maybe help someone else out. In addition to this bag I also bought the Patagonia mini mass, Overland Auburn & Keen Brooklyn II, check out those reviews if you want a comparison. Mini Jill: Loved the blue. The front flap closes with a buckle and loud heavy Velcro. When you lift the front flap the main compartment is open. There is a mesh zipper pocket the length of the bag, and about a third of the height. There is also a bungee closure, but not the main part doesn't close completely. There is a Velcro sealed pouch in front of the main compartment that includes a medium and small size mesh pocket.There is also a zippered pouch with key hook.And another zippered pouch on one of the ends of the bag. This bag does have a back pocket, but does have a nice a padded non-slip cushion on the strap. Tablet users: My HP Touchpad (almost same dimensions as iPad) fit with fitted case and with case logic padded case. Right now it looks like I am going with the Travelon anti-theft hobo bag, which will hold a tablet in a padded case (a little snug, but does fit) and has a zipper on the main compartment, which includes a locking clip.

I love this bag! My only minor quibble is the hook and loop closure often gets caught on the strap that clips the bag shut. The cute pink strap is already showing a little pilling because of this. Otherwise, does what it says on the box: holds your stuff in a feminine bag, secure cinch closure inside, lots of great pockets. I'm overlooking the pilling strap thing because it's my new favorite messenger.

Cute bag, although the strap is much too short for tall people to wear as intended (I'm 5'10"), as a cross-body bag. Sad because other than that, I love it! Will be returning.

This bag is attractive and hangs well on the body, but it has some major drawbacks. There is only one outside pouch -- why not add a zippered pouch to the back of the bag or the top of the flap? The interior does not zip closed, so if you have something particularly wide in the bag (say, a manila envelope -- good luck!), the sides of the bag extend wider than the flap and thus the interior is exposed. The shape is also odd, narrower at the base, so while a standard notebook does fit sideways, it doesn't really rest at the bottom. Just awkward. Oh, and the designated phone pouch is bizarrely narrow -- whose smartphone is only 2-inches wide? But! As I said, it is a very nice-looking bag, lightweight, and the strap is very comfortable. Presumably these issues will fade as I forget how my old bag was and get used to this one.

This bag is huge. I mean much bigger than I expected. Would make a great mini briefcase or diaper bag for the mom an older toddler who hates regular diaper bags. But not great as a crossbody purse. Too bad...because I love the styling! I might buy this or one like it in the future when I need to replace my old messenger bag -- this is much smaller and therefore nicer. But not so great for replacing my purse.

The color of this bag is not white. It is the color of the strap, grey-the entire bag is grey. I am exchanging for a different color. The size is what I wanted.
