Love! Lightweight; plenty of interior room; the shoulder strap is very comfortable. The color is definitely not black but a beautiful slate gray. As noted in an earlier review there is no place to "tuck" the excess strap so I folded it up and secured it with a black hair band.

I really like this bag. I use it as an everyday purse, and can easily fit a 7" tablet along with all my other pursey things. It's machine washable, and very well-made. It has lots of pockets for organization. The inside back pocket has a velcro flap to keep stuff separate from the main compartment. The only improvement I wish it had was a side compartment for a water bottle or thermos. Otherwise, it's fantastic!

I've been looking for a bag like this for awhile. I have finally found what I've been wanting. The inside has room for my iPad along with my usual "bag" needs. Totally in love with this one.

I spent several days looking at bags and finally settled on the FlapJill Mini. I was in need of a work bag that held my purse contents and my work iPad. This fit the bill. I would like to have had the outside flap with a small zip pocket for my phone like the larger bag has, but it's not a deal breaker. All in all I'm pleased and would buy again.

I decided on this product because of the features as well as the warranty. It came in a timely fashion and I am pleased with the quality.

Purchased this bag for a trip to Disneyland. It was the perfect size for holding bottles of water, sunscreen, wallets, tickets, etc but easily able to carry on the rides.

This is a terrific bag: stylish, practical and lightweight. It has that retro geek chic but still a little girlie look that I love, and the color is now a true charcoal. I long ago abandoned "purses" in favor of a Jimi wallet and gear bag. I was looking for a replacement for my small neoprene messenger bag because that bag does not have a secure flap. This bag carries my iPad in a case, a Kindle, a wireless hotspot, a notebook and pens, and various chargers. On a recent plane trip I also added a bathing suit and toiletries and still had plenty of room. I especially love that the flap fastens with Velcro without having to cinch it.

Awesome bag! Just the right size. Apple Air book fits in this (the smaller one). And everything else has a pocket or a slot. All fits without looking big, bulky and over stuffed.

This is a great bag for a small purse or work bag. It's the perfect size for a full size ipad, a file folder, and enough essentials for a day. It would be perfect if it had an outer pocket that could be accessed without opening the bag and a water bottle holder. If you can live without those things (and I can) this is a very versatile bag for a variety of uses. Love the purple!

After researching MANY bags online, I finally decided on this one for my trip to Europe. I could not be happier with this purchase. I thought it was on the small size on opening, but as expected, it holds so much. I love the padded divider for my ipad and how secure everything inside is. I was never worried once about pick-pocketing. I love the color, but I did feel like a tourist. I wish I had gotten the darker purple color.

I'm very happy with this bag. I have a toddler and 4 year old twins and it works great for a mom bag that's not a diaper bag. I can fit my stuff plus a few things for them. I also like the compartment for the iPad. The shoulder strap is comfortable, although it does slip if I only wear it on one shoulder. It is perfect for messenger style, which is what I wanted anyway. It is not the most attractive bag I've ever seen, but it is cute for what it is.

Awesome. This bag is really great in many ways: the material is sturdy and practically waterproof, the pockets in side hold everything - separately, it's lightweight and looks good. Love the color! The only thing I wish they offered one without the floral embellishment on the front but oh well, I can live with it. It's a bargain.

Wow! This bag is great. It really meets my needs, love all the pockets and the compartment for my Kindle Fire. Size is perfect too. I have always carried nice leather shoulder bags, but with electronics and my everyday stuff, my purse became heavy and uncomfortable. I like the top handle too. My only suggestion to Osprey would to make the side zipper pocket open to keep my cell phone in for easy access. The inside pocket for my iPhone is great, but I really don't want to be fumbling with the clasp and zippers to get it, that is even if I can hear it ringing inside the purse. The last thing that I love about this bag, is that it has my named after me!

I bought this to use for "urban hiking" in Boston. My daughter and I like to walk around Boston and the Cambridge/Somerville areas for many hours at a time. I wanted a bag that was comfortable, secure, easy to manage on the train, can handle all weather conditions, and holds my camera, wallet, sunglass case, and maybe some items from various shops. This was the most close to perfect I could find. It is also feminine and not too dorky. My daughter is not embarrassed to be seen with me. The padded shoulder strap is comfortable, and the bag does not get off balance or feel heavy, even with a lot of junk. A lot of shoulder bags are not very comfortable. I wanted an alternative to a daypack, because they look silly on someone my age. But this bag is perfect for any New England woman. All the outdoorsy features of the best backpack, with style and feminine features. Would also be good on bicycle, but I haven't tried that. Yet.

I am a 42 year old NYC girl and I just got tired of carrying a "purse." I have several expensive and lovely leather handbags but this is the one I use because it's just plain functional. It has enough room for my iPad to fit comfortably, as well as my designer Cole Haan wallet which cost 4 times as much as this bag. I wish that Osprey made a matching wallet or I would probably like it better, too! Seriously, I know I must sound a little silly but I'm being honest. I enjoy this bag every day. It looks cute, it's functional and comfortable, and it's definitely a keeper.

Everything about this is perfect. It fits everything I need, medical supplies, makeup, my tablet. As for how it looks, it was hard to find a pretty messenger bag. I love Zappos!

I really like this bag. It is decent sized to carry a small purse, water bottle, notebook and small first aid kit. It is comfortable to carry.

Light, room enough for modest amount of work folders and papers which suits my needs, construction and materials seem to be of good quality, black is very attractive and good color for work....very pleased.

Love this bag! I walk about 1 mile to work and was looking for a small bag to carry the essentials. This bag is just the right size to carry my iPad, a folder of papers, wallet, and a snack. The little pocket next to the strap holds my phone for easy access and there are a few small pouches inside to hold/organize pens, ipod, etc. It's also nice enough to carry around for errand running, shopping, etc.

As the mother of a preschooler, I need a bag that can hold all my stuff as well as snacks and juice cups. This bag is great. It is cute, light, highly scrubbable, and functional. I am very happy with it.

I've been using this bag as a purse for about 6 months now. I love the look of it, and the water resistance is handy, however I have found a few concerns: * I actively use all of the pockets. In the first small zip pouch I keep meds, chapstick, and keys, and in the second small zip pouch I keep makeup. In the end small pouch I keep pens and pencils. All of this use significantly reduces the available room inside the larger compartment of the bag. * The larger compartments are great if you don't use the small zip pouches. It's not a good bag for water bottles of any size. * On the inside of the larger compartment is a divider/flap. I put my calendar in there, and I can because it's got a vinyl cover on it (and is letter sized). * The bag is big enough for manila folders, but it's not reinforced, so they get bent. Don't like this. * In my main compartment I can fit two Samsung phones and my calendar and that's it. I was hoping this bag was much bigger. * The velcro on the flap part seems to get caught on my clothes a lot when I open it in my lap. * Lastly, I now walk with a cane, so I was grateful for the shoulder strap. The strap is so wide though, that it pulls against my neck and is quite painful. It's about as thick as a seat belt. The padding on the strap doesn't help, it makes it more constricting. I may return this bag. It's not right for me, but your mileage may vary.

Overall, I like this bag. The one drawback I find is that is does not have any exterior pockets and only a few interior pockets. It would not have been too hard to add a small pocket for keys on the outside flap. Anyway, I like how this bag works while worn crossbody. I find that it does not work as well on a shoulder. It is small enough that it stays close to my side and does not bounce around a lot. It holds about as much as a medium purse, and has a padded compartment for a small tablet. I have a 10" and it fits perfectly.

I really like this bag. It fits my new 13.5in work laptop perfectly. At first I thought it was a little too snug, but the bag is so light, and I love the extra padded shoulder strap, that I decided to keep it. I took off one star because I wish there was another exterior pocket. Otherwise, a great bag for commuting to and from work on the train with my laptop, documents, wallet and lunch.

I purchased this bag in black (it's really more of a dark grey color) about a month ago. It is considered to be a mini messenger bag, which I find to be the perfect size to carry everything I need without getting too heavy. You can place a magazine in the large compartment without having to fold it, and also have enough room for your wallet, keys, an e-reader, and any other items that you need to carry. It is a cross body bag - a style which I discovered in this last year that I vastly prefer to traditional purses. I don't know if it's just me, but I've never been able to keep a purse up on my shoulder for very long. With the cross body bag I have both hands free to do whatever I want - shop, carry items and still open doors, etc! I love the look of this bag - the color appeals to me because it will go with everything, and the front flap design is cute and sporty. The big flap does not secure the main compartment very well - a problem for security but also sometimes a convenience for accessing items quickly. A simple zipper over this large pocket while leaving the big flap intact would have solved this issue easily and without effecting the look of the bag. The security of the main pocket is the only reason I have rated this 4 stars instead of 5. To "solve" this issue I choose to keep my wallet in the velcroed mesh compartment within the main pocket so that I don't have to worry about losing it. It has three other zippered pockets with some organization in the biggest of the three, so you have plenty of opportunities to have a spot for everything! It is water resistant and so far stain resistant. I recommend this bag!

The bag is good size for commuter on public transportation. big enough for newspaper, Kindle. Compartments to keep items safe. Velcro very strong. Lining gives me concern that it will tear before Velcro gives up. Plastic key clip weak, not any good. Like the silcon Osprey on shoulder pad to keep bag in place. I am very happy with bag overall with no regrets.
