I don't know how it happened, but one day a pair of my size of these Teva's appeared in my car, and they have been my best backpacking companion ever since. They were great for two weeks canoeing in the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area and now that I live in Chile I use them in the Patagonian backcountry. I usually wear my hiking boots for hacking through the jungle, but once we get back along the rivers my partner and I use our Teva's all day as we hike across, along, and in rivers for days on end. Because they dry out quite quickly, they also double as my camp shoes with beefy socks. We really put these babies to the durability test and have never had a broken strap after two seasons of trekking. I have a big bunion on my right foot, and the shoes fit very comfortably. However, the triangle attachment on the outside of the right foot chafes after a while, especially with prolonged hiking in riverbeds with damp feet... but never a blister! So, so happy with these miracle sandals, and looking forward to trying out the Terra Fi for a different strap setup, attachment cushioning, and shedding a little bit of bulk.

These are ok, but not as comfortable as similar Tevas I've had in the past. I miss having padding on the straps, since these do rub a little. Wish I could find the old version that had the padding, but these will have to do. I like the support and once I got used to the different straps, these worked out for me.

Because they are not bulky and made of durable strong material, they double as smart casual sandals and tough walking gear.

The Teva Hurricane sandals are my "go to" sandals for the spring and summer. During June, July, and August, these sandals are all I wear. I have two pairs from 2006 that I still use. I added this pair so I would have a new pair to rotate out with the older ones. However, I am disappointed that Teva no longer offers the Wide size. My feet swell all summer, which is one reason why I only wear Tevas at that time of year. The straps seem shorter than the straps on my 2006 pairs. I guess it's another example of corporate cost-cutting, but it does reduce the quality (and that is why I did not give the sandals 5 stars).

So far so good. I have worn them in the house while playing and chasing a 3.5 year old. I plan to do some serious gardening soon and hope they will hold up. While it is still cool where we live, I have worn them with socks and they have been feeling pretty good.

These sandals are very comfortable, but they did not provide secure traction on a slippery tile floor in a Mexican resort restaurant.

I use these sandals for hiking and casual wear. I love them, however, they do make my feet stink. I guess you can't have it all :)

Was looking for a replacement for my loved Reefs, no longer made, and found these which are an improvement from Teva's similar style with ribbon-like fabric that tended to tighten as I walked. These are comfortable and just what I needed for boating and river wading. Some sandals seem to go overboard with the straps. I like simplicity, and these are the best I could find, although I would have preferred only one velcro strap over the toes and no side strap. Still, very good overall.

They are great for travel, working in the yard, and I love to play golf in them, and others ask about them, so you get free advertising from me.

I bought these for comfort as I sometimes wear an ankle wrap and not all shoes fit with the wrap. These are comfortable. The toe bed on these shoes is wide, so it can appear that there is more toe bed than foot. However, the width is true overall. Great for the beach and comfortable for walking.

Great for walking on beach rocks and swimming around coral reefs (and walking on hot sand).

I have MANY pairs of Tevas of all kinds. I love them all, but I am looking to replace some that I have used extensively hiking and walking. The straps (mostly) and the souls are the same as my old ones. What is different is that on the inside of the strap, where the bracket rubs against the ankle, the old one had a covering to the bracket. The new Hurricane does not. It would be a great addition to an otherwise super shoe.

My Tevas are for casual wear. Because the sole is a little stiff I don't usually wear them when I know I'm going to walk long distances. I wear them boating or kayaking. Occasionally the strap rubs the outside of my foot but mostly they are very comfortable.

I always wear these to walk in during the summer. I generally walk 10,000 steps a day. These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I have wide feet and planter fasciitis. These sandals fit the best for me. I also wore them at my job for 15 years @ a plant nursery and walked thru mud and on rocks all day....just hose them off at the end of the day and they're good as new!

I needed a new pair of sandals that had some support as well as good cushion. These fit the bill. They are very adjustable, so you can get the fit you want.

These are a replacement for my Terra FI2 sandals. It was as close as I could get to the old ones which I love but straps are wearing out after over 3 years of use. The only real problem is that I really need the 8.5 size of the Terra's and had to buy size 9 in the Hurricane .They seem very big but are comfortable yo use. Please go back to having half sizes.

This is the 3rd pair of Teva sandals I've had in this style. They are the most comfortable, versatile, and hearty sandals. What I can't figure out though is how Teva, through all these years, has not fixed a major design flaw of this shoe... The strap that covers the top of the ankle, even when pulled tight, is too short. It leaves about an inch of the Velcro exposed, which then tends to attract debris to the Velcro, and ends up causing it to fray prematurely. It also detracts from the otherwise stylish look of the shoe. I must really love the comfort of this sandal because I keep buying this style even though all three pairs have had this problem. If Teva can get this design flaw worked out, I would recommend this shoe to everyone I know, instead of the "it's good, but..." I tell them now.

I use these daily to do chores, walk to town, hike mountains in hot weather, go boating, etc.. This style of Teva is the best style for me because I have a size 10AA foot with a AAA heal. Therefore, I walk out of most shoes and sandals. I hope these do not go away! They are critical to me!

These are really cute and you can adjust the fit super great. However, the little triangle thing on the front strap rubs my foot some. I am getting a callous now so it is better. Also, the footbed has ridges that are not very comfortable. So I put a sticky insole inside. Now they are fine. Not sure I would recommend these.

I owned a pair of these Tevas for over 10 years and lived in them. They went hiking with me in Asia and Europe, exploring with me in NYC, and (obviously) made every beach trip. When they finally died, I was devastated thinking I would never find them. But ironically after buying them, I realized my own style had changed. I ended up returning them for Tevas Terra Fi. Just as comfortable and practical but they have a slightly less athletic look.

These are great but since there are no 1/2 sizes, I think they are too long. I ordered a size down and when they come, I'll decide which to return. It is extremely frustrating when you are a true 8 1/2 and you have to choose between and 8 or 9, even with the adjusted straps, it is an imperfect choice. They are true to size but the difference between one full size and another can be a problem. I will let you know how it works out when I try the 8. The shoe itself is comfortable.
