The Teva Hurricane XLTs are comfortable. As many others have stated, the bottom seems oddly wide, and I have a somewhat wide foot. I normally wear a size 9, and these seem a little longer as well, but not enough to make me trip...yet.

I had a really old pair of Tevas that were extremely comfortable! The sole cracked and broke one morning on my walk with my dog. These new Tevas are OK. The foot bottom is real squishy,not sure how they will hold up. The fit is OK.

Not sure if this was a defective pair, but the stitching on the inside of the strap would rub my heal. Other than that, they were very comfortable with great arch support.

Great. So comfortable. I live in a very marshy wet area and walk my dog in these daily. I expect they will last a few years through use on various hikes and outdoor aquatic adventures. Only qualm is that the straps are a tad short so a substantial amount of velcro is exposed and can snag when I wear them with long dresses.

Teva has widened their hurricane sandals since my last purchase some years ago. I have a narrow foot and now it looks as if I bought the wrong size as thee is too much empty space. And yet, the sandal is quite comfortable Zappos customer service and return service ware excellent! I had to return the size 9 (my normal 91/2) for a size 8.

Well...they're definitely not the old Hurricanes that I've worn for 15 years. The Hurricane XLT is wider and chunkier, but maybe okay. I wrote to Teva after reading other reviews and since I have a narrow foot they suggested the Zirra or one other model. But I didn't like all the straps on one and on the other the toe strap wasn't adjustable. So I ordered the Hurricane XLTs in an 8 and I'm exchanging them for a size 7. My normal shoe size is an 8 and this doesn't come in half sizes, so 7 it is. Now for the facts: the new XLT heel is twice as thick as the old model and the sandal looks wider and clunkier but it's still very comfortable and I think once I get the smaller size it'll be fine. Really, by the time I get this sorted out summer will be over.

First time ordering from Zappos. Delivery was prompt and shoes fit and color was as appeared on their site. No problems. No real arch support, made for sand and water.

I love Tevas so much. These have a bit of arch support, though not as much as orthics provide if that's something you need. I can wear these for a few hours, but not all day everyday. Still, I love them!
