Although I like the design and quality of the Kuhl Splash pants, their fit was impossible for me. The length was about 3" too long (I'm 5' 2"), and there wasn't a petite size. I have donated the two pair that I bought to the Salvation Army. I didn't return them to the store because I had already worn them (as roll-ups) and laundered them.

These pants worked great for me. I ordered the sz 6 and sz 8. The 8 worked best as the 6 was a bit too tight in the waist. The 8s did stretch out during the day and I was wishing I had a belt. Fortunately I have enough hips to keep them up! The pants are a great color, nice and lightweight and very comfortable. I am 5'6" and 125 lbs. I normally wear a sz 6 in most everything.

Great pants! Very comfortable, true to size. A petite length would have been great because they were way too long for me (I'm 5'2") and shortening them meant losing the stitched detail at the bottom of the leg. Nevertheless, I really like these pants.

I bought these pants because most reviews indicated they would fit a narrow hipped figure better than curvy ones. I have pretty narrow hips, a small butt, and slim legs, but I still found these pants fit oddly. They were very loose around the hips and thighs. The waist fit ok in the front, but gapped slightly in the back (a problem I never have normally because my waist-hip is not super curvy). The leg opening was also too wide for my taste. For all that, they were strangely flattering in a very athletic sort of way. If it were less expensive, I'd probably have put up with the imperfect but doable fit.

I have not used this as of yet. I will be using it when we go hiking in a couple of weeks. They fit well and have a good fabric weight to them. I appreciate that they roll up for warmer temps. I wish they were offered in petite sizes as they are a couple of inches longer than I would like. I am hoping that they will shrink a bit after washing.

Nice fabric - feels cottony - and stitching/color quite pretty. Waist is weird being so high in the back. Most notable, however, is the fact that they run VERY small. I usually am a 4 or 6 and ordered up based on reviews. They weren't kidding - the 8 was to small. Legs are also too wide to hike in for me. I like a smaller leg so the hems/cuffs don't rub together when I am walking. I am 5'11" 135. If I group a size, the butt and legs will be huge. oh well back they go

Other reviews said this ran small so I sized up from my usual size 0 to size 2. They were too big in the waist, so I would have been better off with a 0, but they are too short in the crotch inseam so they felt really uncomfortable. I can see why people said to size up, but they were already too big in the waist so I returned them.

I have bought Kuhl pants before and loved them. But not this pair. poor fitting as noted by other reviewers. Fabric does not stretch as it claims. Sorry, have to return them.

Every pair of KUHL Splash Roll-Up Pants fits differently. Sadly, this pair is too tight across my thighs and I am returning them. Nice pants, but sizing is inconsistent.

I'm 'short' (just under 5'4", not really short except when it comes to clothing manufacturers) and have a boxy figure. There is almost no stretch to the fabric, notably around the waist. The waist sits a little low, so if you are short, and the waist says 28, that means you essentially have to have 28 inch hips. Then, since they sit below your waist and have no stretchy-grab, if your hips are rather straight up and down, the pants don't have any support to stay up comfortably. Also note the 32 inch inseam. I like the style, but they just aren't comfortable for my body type.

Nice, well made sport / utlity pants, but I think they run small. I'm 5'-10" and 160 lbs. I typically wear a size 12, and occasionally a 10. I ordered a 12 and felt squeezed tight and had trouble getting them snapped. I wore them for 15 minutes or so and they loosened up a little, but not enough to be really be comfortable. I have some pants with 32 inch inseams that seem long enough, but these needed another inch or two to feel right for my long legs. If they didn't seem too short, I would try a size 14. So, I would say size up on these and they are not for long legs. I wish they had worked for me.

The sizing is really small. Go up at least one size. I'm usually between a 6 and an 8. I read the other reviews saying this runs small, so I ordered the 8. I need a 10. But they are cute.

Very comfortable and breathable. Fits well, very slimming. Found it to be true to size. Bought medium and it fit great. I'm 5'7 and 150lbs.

These pants are great but I wish they were offered in short, medium, and long because they are expensive - but worth it - but then I had to also pay to have them hemmed. Other than that I love them.

If these wind up lasting a long time I might consider upgrading for sturdiness but for fit, color, fabric feel, and high price, I have to go with a rating of just average. The Khaki is green, maybe an olive green which is technically a brown that looks very green, but it is not khaki. The fabric feels a bit stiff but it is my first time wearing them. The snap button comes undone very easily when I bend forward and I am by no means overfilling these pants. I am a size 2 usually and the size 2 I ordered fits with a little extra room after the initial break in. The snap popping open with the slightest pressure in the waist is ridiculous.

LOVE these pants, but they stretch with wear nearly a whole size. In addition, sizing varies by color- an 8 in khaki is a 6 (or smaller) in charcoal. Am hoping they regain their shape after washing. Please kuhl, come up with a similar pant without stretch material- these could totally replace my jeans but for the stretch issue.

Love these pants but they are too short for anyone over 5'8"-- even the 10 are a 32" inseam. The 6 also runs a wee small. I would suggest they offer long. Until then, back you go!

Like everyone else, the sizing is a problem for me. I normally wear a size 6-8 in women's pants. Based on the previous reviews, I ordered sizes 8 and 10, just in case. The 8s fit okay, but were a bit snug at the waistline and hips. The 10s, however, were absolutely huge on me. It's like they skipped from an 8 to a 12. I kept the 10s because my last pair of favorite work pants finally bit the dust, and my semi-industrial job doesn't require I look tailored or anything. But they don't fit well at all. The crotch hangs down and rubs my inner thighs when I walk, and I have to use a belt to keep them from falling off. They'll do for now, but I'm not really happy with them. The good: material, stitching, cargo pockets, breathability, functionality. The bad: sizing. There's no in between. I'm 5'7" and my measurements are 36*30*40. The 8s are too snug around the hips and thighs, and the 10s are like parachute pants on me. If they had a 9, maybe that would work.

I got a size 8 because another review said these run small and I am a little bigger than standard size 6. But 8 too big and they stretch with wear. :(

Too short for tall people.
I've been having trouble finding cargo pants that are flattering, and I loved the style of these.
They look great rolled up, they're super comfy and fit me well, but they're too short when unrolled. And since clothing manufacturers stopped making significant hems some time in the 90s there's no way to let them down.

Don't know who they make pants for anymore. Companies need to go back to making slim, regular, and husky; short, regular & tall in all, hurt feelings be damned. These were too short (don't think they are 32" more like 30") and the waist way too big-size 4. If the pants are supposed to sit on the top of your hips that don't put in waist measurements. Pants that sit on hips as most do nowdays are uncomfortable to do anything in.

Very disappointed in what they call a "relaxed fit". These are not meant for the average figure with a few extra pounds.

I am so very frustrated wit Kuhl. I am 5'2" and 113. I love that the pants come in short length and the waist front/back is contoured for sports. When they fit they are awesome. When they dont there is no consistency to work with . They just do or dont. I have to return these size 2/30 in blue, but I just bought a pair of Khaki 2/30 at a local sports shop that fit perfect!. Are they from a different year or do the colors vary in size? I mean, really, you have me as a customer. Why continue to piss me off with this lack of dependability. I just want to order on line without having to try every d.... pair on in every store !! Or having to pack it up and return. I am sorry for Zappos as its not their fault. Please talk to your supplier on this.
Thanks Zappos for your understanding and terrific return policy. Sharon

I have a pair of Kuhl splash roll up pants I purchased in 2015, these do not fit at all like the previous pair, unfortunately, it seems kuhl has modified the style!

Frustrating! I ordered a few different Kuhl style pants in size 12 and one style in a 14 based on reviews about fit. I carry my weight in waist and I'm long waisted. I received a size 8 "splash" by mistake instead of the 12 I ordered. To my surprise, the 8 almost worked and was not greatly smaller than the other Kuhl styles size 12's which fit. Zappos' customer service was great to fix their mistake and I requested and a size 10 sage and 10 black "splash" style because I loved the fit and style the most of everything I received. The 10 black "splash" fit perfectly. 10 sage "splash" was so tight I could hardly get it zipped! It was way smaller than the 8 I was first sent. I measured and there was nearly a 2" difference in the two size 10's at the waist. This is clearly inconsistency and poor quality control on Kuhl's part. Aside from sizing problems- I really do love the look, feel and composition of the pants. Quality of materials is top notch. The correct size in this style works well for my body type which lacks hips/rear. I'm really not even sure what size I will try to replace the sage size 10 with but I will try, yet again, because I really want a pair in the sage color. I appreciate Zappos' return policy and their CS is fabulous! It's a shame that sizing is so off for pants of this quality/price. I shop online mostly and I'm prepared to purchase different sizes. This was crazy, though. I hope Kuhl gets this issue under control.
