Love this dress! I hate to sweat in underwire bras, so when it's hot out and I'm going to be outside, I favor dresses and tank tops with shelf bras in them. Sure, my chest doesn't look as nice when it's in a bra, but it's hot and I don't totally care. This dress does the trick. Here's the thing, though. I bought this dress a year or so ago in a size Small and now, it doesn't fit. No, I've not gained weight. The fabric is susceptible to shrinkage. I am 5' 6", 136 lbs and have a fairly wide and muscular upper body. The Small simply got too tight and then showed panty lines, etc. I've now ordered a Medium and it fits very nicely. I'm washing it now and making sure to dry it on Low heat this time. I think I blazed the Small too much with high heat and therefore shrunk it. So pick your size carefully and wash carefully. It's a forgiving dress and is just perfect for hot days.

Great summer casual dress! Very comfortable, can be comfortably worn without a bra. I liked this one so much that I immediately ordered a second in a different color.

A super "pack-and-go" dress. I am typically not a dress kind of girl, but this is so easy to wear, and flatters many body types. The colors and patterns are vibrant and true to the pictures, and in fact, the dress looks better in person.

Ordered for my daughter for a trip to Spain. She is pear shaped, size 10/12, ordered a Large. This dress is beautiful on this body type. The fabric is great for vacation and travel. She packed by rolling everything and the dress came out great. She also has two other dresses of this brand in similar style. Halter style is very adjustable.

I'm 5'7" 145 lbs. and the Large fit perfect! True to size, comfortable, forgiving and cute. You won't be sorry for buying this dress. You will smile :-)

Great dress. Have always been pleased with Patagonia clothing purchases, and this one didn't disappoint. Ordered a small and, though it fits, I'd say it is slightly downsized. I have small and x-small in other Patagonia items. I am sure I will get a lot of wear out of this dress. Don't hesitate to get one.

I am 5'6" and about 150# (to my dismay...). I absolutely LOVE this patern and own several patagonia dresses already- the Florita and Margot styles. I found this dress runs VERY Small! The other two styles fit me well in a medium, but I actually made several orders for this dress and settled on an XL! It now fits me great and doesn't show any bumps that I'd like to hide. I just might cut off the size tag... Patagonia calls it "Slim Fit" and they mean it! The fabric is a sturdy stretchy cotton, but I expect it will dry quickly enough if gotten wet. Though for a beach cover up- the Bandha style is pretty much bathing suit spandex- and also fit me in medium, but the style didn't suit me. I bought this dress to wear for a wedding at a State Park where there may be many physical activities like horse shoes and volley ball, but I still wanted to respect the bride and dress as formally as I could pull off. All my patagonia dresses will definitely be my go to summer bbq and date dresses- casual, comfortable, and cute!

I love this dress! Very flattering especially in the bust. Great for travel or a grab and go outfit.

Super cute and fun to wear on spring afternoons! Fabric is thick and high quality, and construction is solid as well. The color in person seems a bit darker than it does on my computer screen, but either way it's a vibrant teal green. Fits true to size, but if you're between sizes like me, definitely size up. I usually go between a S and M depending on the label, and the M fit me great here. I'm pear shaped with a small bust so I could easily wear this without a bra (it has a shelf bra built in), but wore a padded strapless bra anyway to fill it out better.

I just got my order in. This dress is one of the best casual dresses I have ever owned. The cotton quality is great. While it has a slim fit, but it sits so beautifully on your body. Feels great and stylish. It covers my underarms area perfectly. It fits nicely on the chest area if you are not bigger than 38-C for medium size. I could say that if you have a bit smaller size, it fits even better.

This dress is really comfortable and flattering. It provides a slimming silhouette.

This dress is nice on, but tight on the top. If you are larger than a C cup, you may need to size up.

Beautiful and comfortable dress! The size runs a little smaller for Patagonia. I always wear xs for any brands, but sometimes Patagonia's xs was a little too big for me. This dress is true to size, fits me perfectly, true extra small.

Comfortably sexy! This dress has a very nice cut. I ordered a size 4, my usual size, and it fit perfect. But I am small in the chest, maybe what would normally be a 2, so the really form fitting top part which is great on me, may not be for everyone. The material feels soft but like it will hold up over time. I love this dress!

Fits wonderfully. Very comfortable, yet attractive. I'm 5'7 144 lbs., and ordered the Large. I'm in my late 40's, and it looks great, and is forgiving to all my curves.

I really love this dress. It is very flattering and perfect for the beach or home. The cotton is very thick and does not cling in the wrong places which is nice.

If the fit is true to size for you, this is a great dress for you. I am a somewhat curvy large size with a slim waist and full hips. My bust is 38c. Since the somewhat thick dress offered a lovely built-in shelf bra I decided to try it on without my usual Spanx (another great brand) strapless bra. It worked beautifully! Wear this dress with the legging undergarment, (again Spanx brand since it just won't slide down) to provide a slimline fit from just above the knee to just below the bust. It'll slim you up and cover all those little areas that seem to nag us all the time; or at least they nag me; ya know that stomach that just won't go away, etc. I just loved the design. The way the bust came down to point toward the bust center, the slim waist, and then how it "bells" out to beautifully emphasize those hippy ladies or for those slimmer ladies who would appreciate a bit of a hip and finally, for free hip movement which adds to the overall fantastic style of the dress. Love the dress. Thanks.

Love Patagonia products. Just didn't love the fit of this dress. Looks so smooth on the model, but not so much on me!

I am so glad that I bought this dress! It is longer than the Margot (which I love but is a little short for my 40-ish self). I do not find it tight on top and the support is fine for a casual summer dress. I have become very fond of dresses with built in bras. The halter ties so it is fully adjustable; perhaps a modification from a version in other reviews? I love it and Zappos, of course.

The Halter Top is very flattering. The length of the dress is actually quite long as shown in the picture on or below the knee and I would prefer it to be a bit shorter I am 5'5". It does fit snugly. I have not washed it yet so I am not sure about fading.

This dress is really cute and flattering, but the large pattern on the body of the dress is off-center (I got the off-white with black paisley-ish pattern). If it were entirely off to the side, then it would look intentional and fine, but it is just slightly off-center, making it look like a mistake. This may not bother others, but it bothers me. Back it goes.

I wanted to love this. The fabric is great, and I like the cut. It's a heavy enough material for modesty. However - I am large chested (34D) and I found this too revealing a neckline. Even pulled quite tight, I felt like it just showed too much cleavage. Personal thing however; I know that for other women that might be a plus. :)

Very comfortable dress. Love the feel of the material. Size was true. Falls just above the knees - not to short, not too long. It is holding its color well after a few washings, but I am concerned that it will look faded out over time. For now, I can wear it in a more casual setting or can dress it up. If it would fade, then I would only be comfortable with casual only.

This dress is very pretty and summery. I wanted to like this dress so much, however, it fit really weird in the bust/shoulders. I'm a B cup on a good day and I felt like the girls were being smooshed flat it was so tight. I saw another woman wearing it on vacation so perhaps mine was defective or cut incorrectly. Pretty pattern. Material is a good weight, not too thin that it shows bra/panty lines.
