I have 2 of these dresses, and the halter combined with the built in bra give good support. I'm a 32D and bought a small,and it find that it looks very cute, and the length is just right. For a dress made by a outdoor wear company, it's functional and looks nice enough to wear out to dinner

I am 5'4, 130 lbs, and ordered the medium. It fits well and the material feels substantial but not too heavy. I am a 34C, and the top is a little revealing, but not so bad (and I am pretty modest). The color is a little lighter than it seemed in the pictures but is still pretty (I have the red). I got it as a lightweight dress to wear under my cap and gown for graduation, then go out to brunch with family, and I think it will do the trick. As always, very fast shipping.

Love this dress! Very comfortable and flattering. The shelf bra has good support. I'm planning on wearing this all summer, and now I'm tempted to get it in more colors.

Classic summer dress I will wear for years! The fabric is more substantial than I usually like, but it works for the cut of the dress. The dress is form fitting through the rib cage and has a nice a-line cut to the top of the knee. Extremely flattering for all shapes! The dress runs a tad small - I wear a size 8-10 and the large fits perfectly.

Love this dress! The fabric is soft, the colors are more muted than in picture shown. Great fit, true to size. Plan on ordering more of these in different colors for summer. Shelf bra is a plus for those hot summer days.

5'6, 138 lbs (a good chunk of that is muscle), and medium fits almost perfectly (a little loose right below the bust, but I'm not complaining). I am a 34C, and the band below the bust is skin tight but not terribly uncomfortable. There might be an issue of some err exposure wearing it out, will have to see. From trying it on, I absolutely adore it and am very happy with my purchase.

Great Dress! This dress is so pretty and so easy to wear. The fit is perfect. I got a small (usually wear a 2-4 in pants). It fits close up top and is a great look for us smaller breasted ladies. The open back is sexy and the skirt area hides the hips if you have a pear shape.

Great little dress - I ordered this dress in the blue print with blue bands/ ties and it is a perfect dress for wearing when the weather is warm (or hot). Fabric and workmanship are high quality. Fit is good, but runs small. I normally wear a small and found a medium to be a good choice in this style.

This is a great dress! I purchased this dress after reading all of the previous reviews. I am 5'2", approximately 137 pounds, and a 36D. Louisville, Kentucky gets very hot and humid in the summer. I was looking for something that I could wear without a bra, tank top, or other gear. I hesitated after reading the other reviews, because I am not a prude, but already have enough cleavage without adding to it. The end result is that I love this dress. It is not the most comfortable because of the halter tie, but it is definitely better than wearing something else. The shelf-bra works fine for me (although I need to adjust it now and again).

I have the Margot dress as well. The Iliana dress is a little longer (even better length for me since I am 5'8) but fits tighter. I didn't like the pattern I chose very much and will try a different pattern. I am a size 4-6, the small version was tight, but okay, but will order a medium as well to compare fit. It's a true, adjustable halter (big knot in your neck) which some might like and some might not. I think I would sew it together when adjusted to the right fit, or maybe use velcro.

Beautiful dress if you don't mind showing off your cleavage! I am slim but busty (32DD) and usually find that shelf bras are too loose in the band. This one fit fine in the size S, and I love the wide-set halter straps (very flattering!) but it was a little too low cut for me to wear for daytime. Just a little more fabric in front and it would be perfect. I generally wear a size 4-6 and found the S fit well except for the skimpy bodice. Going up a size didn't help as it was still very low-cut, plus the underbust band on the shelf bra was then too loose to offer support. I loved the print and the style otherwise; wish Patagonia would design a dress that a woman who is larger than a B cup could wear.

Great dress, though order up a size. I am a fairly slim, athletic 5'9" with a swimmer's build (more broad shoulders/chest) and I have a long torso -- I ended up with the large. The large hit a few inches above the knee and definitely shrinks when you wash it. The bust area is a little skimpy and I cannot imagine it has much support -- works great for my small A-B cup -- but hits more as a "demi-cup". Overall it is a great dress to wear around town and at the beach.

I ordered this and the Vitaliti strappy dress, both in small. (I am 5'7, 140 lbs, 34B) While the Vitaliti fit like a DREAM (but could have used more bust support), this dress was fabulously supportive and flattering up top, but too tight and clingy for me around the middle. (No way to hide the post-baby bulges.) This dress was markedly more fitted than the Vitaliti. If I was in better shape, I'd have kept it, as I think it's the more flattering and interesting of the two dresses. For me, the length was perfect and just above the knee. Any shorter and it would have felt too young. (I'm 40!)

The dress is very nice, I ordered a small and the top is very snug. If I get a medium the dress will be entirely to big so I would caution those with any bust. Because I may need to send this back.

This is a great dress! I love the halter style – it’s so flattering. Very comfortable. I wear a size 36D - I bought the large and it’s a bit loose in the back. I need support to keep the girls up, you know. I’ll try a medium to see if that fits better. If you’re full-chested and modest, this probably isn’t the dress for you. It works great for me though!

I love the dress it is great for Austin summers. It fits me well and I am full of curves. The only thing that I would say that the dress is pretty low cut.

I recently bought this dress for my 8th grade promotion. It can be formal or casual, depending on the accessories that I coordinate with it. It is super comfortable and form fitting and I absolutely looove this dress!

This is a cute dress! I bought the medium and it fit through the hips and torso, but it was too small in the chest area so I had to return it. It's probably better for someone who is smaller up top.

Fits like a junior size medium, tight in all the wrong places, plunging neckline. I usually wear a size medium in all brands and this one was either cut to be too tight or just runs very small. Too sexy for a daytime dress where I live.

I love the color and style of this dress. It seems to be made very well. However, my one issue with this dress - and let me preface this by saying it may be an issue particular to me- is that it is not a dress to wear if you want to bend over at all and not expose yourself. The dress is the correct size for me, however as an A cup, I can not even bend over in the dress without the girls popping out. I do not know if bustier women would have the same issue. For a dress I expected to be a casual, on the go piece of attire I find this very disappointing. Due to the fact the "over exposure issue" is kind of big, it is not something I would recommend to other women who fear the same problem.

This is a very comfortable dress. The length is appropriate. I received lots of compliments. I also bought this dress in the black/white too. Love both!

I love the quality of the material of this dress -- thick, but not hot; stretchy, but not too tight. Be warned though, this is a "slim-fit" which the label says means form-fitting and it is. I got a medium which is nicely snug in the top (I'm 36C) and a little tight across the middle which actually holds in my belly and defines my waist. I'm 5'5" and the dress hits me mid-knee. The shelf bra and thickness of the fabric prevent any see-through on the top when worn without a bra. A-shape cut allows more room for bigger hips. I'm usually a size 8/10; 145#, 5'5".
