These are absolutely adorable shoes. They are extremely well made. My street shoe size is 9½, but I always order Fryes in 9, and, as usual, they fit perfectly. I have rather wide forefeet, high arches, and narrower heels. I was worried that the forefoot area of the shoes would be too narrow and the heel too wide, but I did not need to have worried. The toe area is snug, but not uncomfortably so, and there is sufficient room to wiggle my toes. Best of all, the heel does not slip at all! I rarely wear heels, but these are so comfortable, that I am thinking of ordering another color!

I love these shoes. At first I ordered my size (10) since there were mixed reviews on how they fit and I had to ship them back. They were huge. I had a very noticeable gap in the back and they looked like clown shoes on me. I exchanged for a size 9 and they fit great. I have thin feet but if they were wider I could see the width of the shoe being a problem. Zappos is amazing on exchanging and returns. I had the new size the next day. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing these shoes every day.

Great shoe, but two problems. One is that the sole needs a rubber bottom to prevent slipping and dampen sound. (Not a big deal; the local shoemaker could have fixed this.) The other problem is that the black is so "antiqued" that it looks grey or worn out and just a little too casual for work. This cannot be seen from the photo and, unfortunately, is a game changer.

This shoe is adorable, very stylish. I love the brogue detail and the chunky heel. I have a narrow foot, but this shoe is still narrow across the ball of my foot. However, the heel is actually wide and my foot pops out when I walk, even with the shoes laced up as tight as they will go. I tried a heel insert which usually will hold my foot in when this happens, but my heel still pops out. I tried various sizes and this was always the case. Another comment, the "antique" colors have a sort of white coating on them to make them look aged. Compared to other brands, Fryes run small. I generally would wear an 8.5 in an oxford shoe but I wear a 7.5 in Frye.

So beautiful. Slightly more narrow than my Carson oxfords in the toe. They are still comfortable but not ideal for all day on your feet. The color is perfect. Worth the minimal discomfort.

Sadly, I must be the only Zappos/Frye customer who finds these uncomforatble. Too narrow in toes, too wide in heel, and the turned up toes become painful for me. Very sad because Fyre works 9.9 out of 10 times for me, and the leather and perf on these are gorgeous.

I got the last olive 9.5 and was bummed when it arrived with the tongue detached! I thought Frye had a good reputation for being well-made, but now I'm afraid to order another Frye shoe. I got them in brown at the same time (though I will probably send those back too, they're not as pretty as the olive ones), and I have been trying them out to see if I liked them. After a couple days of 1-2 hours wear at a time, they seem too narrow in the ball of the foot and too wide in the heel for me. Also, the heel is a bit too high to be comfortable for long periods of time. Really sad, they are so cute.

I ordered these in the slate color and they fit entirely differently than my other Maggie Perfs (in dusty rose and mustard vachetta). They are much stiffer, too narrow in the footbed, and not at all comfortable. Maybe I just received an off pair. In any case, these are going back. Thanks, Zappos, for your great return policy!

This is a gorgeous and comfortable shoe. The heel is just the right height. I have tried 6 colors of this style. I like the dark brown the best, so that is the one I will keep. Isn't it cool that Zappos lets us try shoes and return ship for free? The "antique" finish is a white or gray overspray that looks more like mildew to me, but it rubs out pretty easily.

Wow. These shoes are super stylish, I always get loads of compliments when wearing them. They dress up any outfit - even a tshirt or JP sweatshirt and jeans! They're just the right height, sturdy and so comfortable you could walk all day and night! I highly recommend.

I have been comparing several Frye oxfords. This shoe is comfortable and I like the style the best, but the antique black just looks dusty. It is a gray overspray. I don't like the dusty look.

These were the first shoes I ordered to celebrate my knee replacement, and I love them! (I had to stare at them for a couple months 'til I could actually put them on, but I was not disappointed.) They feel like a boot, with nice support and are very comfortable to walk in. Compared to my other Frye styles they do run a bit large. I had to return the first pair for half a size down, but other than that, terrific. Love the colors too. I got the turquoise and get stopped all the time for compliments.

These shoes arrived yesterday, so I wore them for the first time today. Typical of Frye footwear, they are heavy and stiff so I was afraid they would be uncomfortable. Fortunately, I was wrong about that - I wore them all day and they were more comfortable at the end of the day than they were in the morning. They do seem to run a bit large. I usually wear a 7 (even in other Fryes), but in these the 6-1/2 fit perfectly.

I just received this shoe in size 9, and it fits with just a little slippage in the right heel. My shoe size is actually 9 1/2 W, and it's hard to find a cool shoe in a wide width. I have found Frye sizing to be somewhat hit or miss: size 9 in a Frye boot has always worked for me, but I need a size 10 in a Frye pump. It seems that Frye sizing is a matter of serendipity. This Maggie Perf in turquoise is a really nice shoe, less distressed, with less of an upward toe angle one sees in this photo. As others have noted, it is a stiff shoe that will take a little breaking in. In addition, this shoe, like my Frye boots, has a leather sole which is very slippery on a wet or snowy surface. One day, coming in from a wet sidewalk onto a marble floor in a store, I nearly took a tumble. But this will be a great shoe when the shoe disappears.

I love these shoes! I have narrow feet, and they slip a bit at the heel, but a heel pad solves that. They're out-of-the-box comfortable and very snazzy.

Superb, fashionable shoes! This is my second pair. At first they seem heavy, but you get used to it quickly. They are really comfortable for me, which is why I got a second pair. Love, love, love FRYE!

Very, very, comfortable. I was not able to tell from the photo that the shoes have a very distressed look to them. That just wasn't what I was looking for. If it were I'd be in love!

Is Zappos hiding in my basement? I feel like the instant I hit "send", the box hits my front door! I ordered my latest shoes on a Monday and they arrived Tuesday. Impossibly fast. I love the shoes, too. Frye has been a favorite of mine since they first emerged in the early '70s with their signature boot. I remember at the time blanching at the price, but never looked back...they were worth every penny. I am extra excited about this order, because this is the very first pair of shoes I've purchased since my total knee replacement a month ago. Shoes with a heel have been but a fondly remembered fantasy for decades now, and I have been clomping around in sensible shoes for almost 10 years (for that, I recommend Dansko, Clarks and Born...great style and easy on the bones. I still have huge loyalty to those brands as well). So! I have been patiently waiting these past six agonizing weeks for the time when I was healed enough to put on a pair of real, lady-type shoes and see how my "bad leg" responds. The time came last night;I put on my new Fryes...and burst into tears, because that familiar lightning bolt of knee pain is no more. For the first time in 42 years. Boy, is my bank account in trouble! Anyway, as always with Frye, the quality just cannot be beat. I defy anyone to wear out a pair of Fryes, they are made to wear like iron and only fit better as the years go by. This pair are stylish, fit beautifully and the turquoise color is gorgeous. My only gripe is that the style runs large. I exchanged my first pair for half a size down. Even so, with Zappos' customer service and free shipping, I barely mind, returning anything is effortless. Your company is exemplary in every way.

These shoes rock! They are very well constructed! More like a cowgirl boot than a shoe! They are so comfortable too! I found these to be very generous in both length and width. However, I do have narrow feet and did have on thin trouser socks. Look great with straight leg jeans. Wow, did I say beautiful turquoise color will be the staple of my spring and summer wardrobe! Thanks Frye and Zappos for such fast delivery! You really can't be beat! I might try to go down a half size; however, they don't offer it, so I'm sticking to my true size elevens. Thanks Again Zappos you guys rock!

I love the stacked oxford look. I had a pair 10 years ago from 9 West that were black patent. I wore them to death. I wish Frye would make them in unscuffed nice finishes. These are well made and ready to roll. The stacked look is nice for large foot sizes as typical oxfords make my feet look like boats. I wear a 9½ medium.

Love this shoe in olive -- the color looks just amazing with both jeans and with a variety of dress pants (navy, dark brown, gray). They had a gorgeous subtle highlight to my outfits! I had to get used to the feel of these, as they felt stiff initially because I don't usually wear boots. After one wearing I adjusted fully and now love to wear them. The support is excellent, with some cushioning. I usually take between 7.5 and an 8 in shoes and the 7.5 fit well with a bit of room to spare. I have a wider forefoot and narrow heel and the extra room accommodated my foot perfectly without looking clownish or hard to walk in. I am so hoping they eventually make this shoe in a deep purple leather, as I would be all over them! Very glad I purchased and I think they were worth the price, will last a long time.

These are incredible shoes. Genius. However, be warned about the size. Normally, I wear a size 7.5 to 8 depending upon the brand and type of shoe. I usually wear size 7.5 in Frye, but these were GIGANTIC. The 7.5 was easily an 8.5 in most other shoes and I had to go down to a 7. I stayed there (as opposed to 6.5 because they are a bit narrow. Other than the sizing issue, these shoes couldn't be more practical, stylish and worth it!

Sorry -- either the heelbox is too wide or my heel is too narrow and a Dr. Scholl's thingy doesn't work either. I did get a half size smaller and the heel just didn't work.

Beautiful well made shoes. Ordered them in the antique olive and they are very neutral in color - would substitute well for brown or black. I have a very narrow heel. While a recently ordered pair of Carson oxfords fit just perfectly, these are just a tad wider in the heel and they slip a little too much for my tastes...unfortunately I am returning them.
