I love Zappos... great service and they go beyond great means to help their customers... we know from experience. And this shoe is one of the best shoes for work for my husband... this is his second pair... my husband had feet problems in other shoes so we did some research and found the arch support was the most important thing for him and the rest of the shoe is a plus, waterproof, breathable and all around comfort. Being on his feet for about 12 hours. Sometimes even longer. I could not find this shoe anywhere when we needed it but at Zappos... so this can be another plus for this time of year... The down fall is because my husband has one foot a little off compared to the other, we got a 13 and found he had a little room on that foot, other foot perfect. The first pair we bought fit perfect. IF YOU NEED A HALF SIZE, you best check into it more. I wish they would make a 12 1/2... so these are okay for work for my husband. That is why the overall rating on the shoe is lower... Keen needs to adjust these some.
I'd also recommend:
I loved their Timberline slip-on, but I think they discontinued them, I have snow boot and rain boot with the arch support and love them.

I love the look. The width in front allows your feet to relax your toes. The soles are great on oil, it's just the back (and you can tell the way it's cut, straight up) has tendency to slip off.

I am a cook and on my feet 10-14 hours a day at work. This shoe is comfortable, doesn't slip in grease, and looks good. The only complaint I have is with the durability. After a few months it showed signs of wear, and the insole had holes wearing in it where my toes go. I was able to squeeze out a year before they were falling apart, but I bought a new pair after that so they must be pretty good! :) Also Zappos rocks, their service and support are first-class.

Overall, comfortable and nicely constructed shoe. Fits well and true to size, like the tread and as always love the Keen cushion insert.

Just replaced a pair of Dansko's with these for work. They are so comfortable with the memory foam insoles. They are way lighter than the Dansko's. The only issue so far is that my feet seem to sweat a bit more with these. I'm going to try moisture wicking socks. Overall I love the look and comfort.

This is the redesigned PTC Slip-on II and is easier to put on than the original. The shoe is very well made and durable. To my size 12 foot, it appeared to run about a half size too big. If I ordered again I would go with an 11-1/2 to ensure the heal stays in the shoe while doing a lot of walking. The shoe not as light forward as some Keens and again this adds to the reason you may want to go just a little smaller than your normal size. I believe the shoe should wear very well and will be easy to keep looking good.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell and/or Ecco

I tried these shoes on, and while they're described as 'slip-on', it took some real effort to wedge my feet in, and the top of the shoe was tight against my foot, so I decided to return them. The sizing (size 13) seemed ok for length and width, but the tightness on the top wasn't good for me, (I think this issue is because I have high arches) and I could also feel where the back of the shoe was going to rub on my achilles tendon, and that would've caused a blister, I'm sure. I returned these, and got a different pair of Keen's, the soft toe Kanteen oxfords, which have just arrived, but after trying on, they feel good so far...

I like the look of these shoes, and they are very lightweight. But in wearing them a little more, the very tip of the toe area has become bothersome. It presses down on my big toe, which I guess is a function of the reinforced toe design. I find myself trying to wiggle my foot away from that area because it's irritating. Probably would not have bought the shoes if I knew this would be an issue. I needed them for a professional kitchen - should have gone with the Dansko clogs.

There are no better cooks shoes out there for me. I’ve tried many brands. The arch support is so good I don’t need my orthotics with these. I go through a pair a year. Worn every long day running & cooking in my restaurant.

I am a nurse in a busy emergency department and I spend the majority of my shift on my feet. These are my consistent work shoes. This is the third pair I've purchased in the last 5 or 6 years. They last about 18 months to 2 years before I replace them due to worn soles, fraying stitching, or other wear and tear. I appreciate the solid construction, the comfort, the grip of the soles (without marking), and the protection they offer my feet from any substances that may fall on them. (Use your imagination. Or don't.)

Work in the Operating room. So far really like them, and this is my first pair of keens. Normally do merrells but wanted to try something different. I have wide feet and these are perfect for me. Maybe slightly large, but these are clogs so I like them slightly bigger personally. No complaints at all

Only returned because my husband has a high arch and couldn’t get his foot inside. Otherwise would have been a nice chore/yardwork slip on shoe. Was looking for a more breathable option to reduce odor and I think this would have worked if it weren’t for the instep issue.

I wear a woman’s size 11 wide. Most of Keen shoes for women are not wide enough around the toes for me. I also think that men’s shoes are of a higher quality. This particular shoe is very well made but the heel slips off as i walk. I do better with a tie shoe but i thought i would give these a try! Not for me so i am returning them.

Great shoe, Great service! Only problem was they were too big. Zappos quickly sent a new pair and they were too big as well. Zappos sent yet another pair and to my delight they fit perfect! Out of the box and standing in a kitchen floor for 10 hours, non-slip, comfortable perfect good looking work shoe!
I'd also recommend:
Only Keens! I have more than 15 pair.

Zappos was great! Got my shoes the next day, bad news tho, they were to big? I’ve been wearing Keens for well over 20 years, I’ve always gotten a size 10-1/2. Ordered these and too big. No problem, pack them up sent them back, Zappos sent a size smaller the next day. Bad news again, still too big, Zappos send another pair out the next day. Finally a good fit.

I have worked in professional kitchens for nearly 20 years and have almost always worn danskos until recently. One reviewer mentioned that these were like danskos on steroids and and they didn’t lie, great support and super comfortable and not crazy painful Dansko break in period. My only criticism on them is i wish the slip resistance was a little better, not the worst but not as good as shoes for crews, but way more comfortable!

I love these shoes! I bought a men's size (I'm female) because I wanted plenty of room for my toes. I walk and stand all day, on a cement floor and need slip resistant shoes. I sit for only one 1/2 hour break during the day. (I stand or walk during any breaks) Often my day can run 9 hours. I've worn Keens sandals and shoes in my off-work life for years and love them. I decide to give these a try. What a nice surprise!!!!!! The heel fits nicely, but my toes aren't squeezed. Plenty of room to spread out. My kind of shoe! My husband even bought a pair to wear to work as well and he's enjoying his, too.

I use these Keens for gardening, working on our vehicles, walking at the beach, mellow hikes in the woods or mucking the chicken coop. They are a super cofortable, super sturdy shoe for all my rough use times. I ordered a pair three years ago in 2014 and that original pair are still going strong, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a sedcond pair that I can keep cleaner for casual use. They have a funky clunky look to them, but function first, then form. They are easy to slip on and off, have excellent tread life and offer sturdy day long comfort. They've earned a spot by the front door for all those tasks that might cause another shoe to whimper.

I bought these for my husband who needed a pair of shoes for gardening that he could slip on and off easily so as to leave them by the outside door for easy access. I asked that he try them on prior to December 24 so that I would know whether or not to return them for a different size. Once he put them on he did not want to put them back in the box. They are comfortable for his size 14 foot, supportive and nice enough to wear with khakis on casual work days. He asked if they came in different colors as he wants additional pairs. Who knew he would be so pleased. Nice work Keen.

I found the Keen Utility PTC Slip-on II to be extremely comfortable and water-resistant. The slip resistance is good, though not as effective as some other manufacturers. The leather upper was durable but is soft enough to show damage if abused. It has been an excellent work shoe. After nine months of busy bar tending, they are ready to be replaced. The rubber toe is starting to separate from the leather upper and the tread on the bottom of the shoe is also nearly worn away in the high use areas. After about 4-5 months, the leather inside the heel cup wore through but did not affect the comfort of the shoe. I'm convinced the heel cup damage is related to the way I move around while working.

This is an AMAZING shoe for the service industry. Stay on your feet all day and know that you won't slip on any surface. They're very durable; I've had mine for 1 1/2 years and still love them. They're well worth the money!

I knew that the keen would be the perfect second shoe for the kitchen as I am a professional chef and my Birkenstocks London professionals were in for a sole repair. I love the sole on the Keen and the big rubber toe. However I was completely disappointed in the comfort zone? I really thought that the inside of the shoe would have had more of a foot bed? The very first day at the end of shift (10 hours) my feet were on fire? My back and legs hurt. I know that switching shoes can take some time but this was a bit much. So... I went home and ripped out the footbed and inserted a Birkenstock footbed from another shoe. Ahhh, perfect! No issues the next day. Then why not just buy another Birkenstock, Right? Well, they don’t make the full London professionals anymore. My Birkenstocks are 10 years old. So my suggestion is. Yes buy the Keen and buy a Birkenstock foot bed an switch it. Yes you’ll be paying $115 for the shoe and $35 for a foot bed but you’ll have no foot pain, No back pain and no leg pain!

I bought these shoes for my husband to replace his old waterproof lacrosse slip-ons. Unfortunately he was unable to get his foot into them to try on. He has worn keens before, so I thought they’d work, but he has a very high arch and instep. I wouldn’t recommend if you have the same issue. Otherwise, they look great and appear to have the same Keen quality that I would expect.
