The coat has a good figure flattering fit and seems pretty waterproof although I haven't worn it into a downpour yet. My only complaint is that the hood could use to be a little deeper.

I bought this jacket several years ago from another retailer in a tangerine color for hiking and really liked it. But I wanted a more neutral color for more versatility when traveling. So when I saw the Turtle Dove color (ivory) on Zappos I ordered. I am a size 2-4 and normally wear an extra small, but this jacket runs small so the small size was perfect. Packs well for traveling when you want a lightweight hooded rain jacket/windbreaker that doesn’t take up much room in bag. Fits in fanny pack for hiking. Very pleased.

Perfect rain shell. This is perfect, the arms and torso are long enough (I have longer arms and torso), and it is fully waterproof. Good quality hood, zippers, velcro, and elastic cinch at the hem. SUPER PACKABLE - you can also pack it inside one of the pockets as well. The pit zips are actually really useful. You would need something to layer under for colder weather, which is what I was looking for. Marmot is a great company that is taking steps towards becoming a sustainable, eco-conscious company. Best part: you can register your jacket on their website and it is guaranteed for life!

I love this jacket! The shape gives a very feminine look without being tight in the wrong places. It’s lightweight and breathable, but stood up to Florida rainstorms like a champ. I’ve never spent this much on a jacket before, but it is top quality and well worth the price.

I needed a very lightweight, breathable, completely waterproof jacket for walking the dog when it rains - not often here, but heavy when it happens. The Precip meets the requirements while offering an excellent fit, with enough room for dog bags and treats, cell phone and keys in the pockets. This jacket is so well cut you can wear it over a heavy sweatshirt if needed, and it looks nice - not just a sloppy looking raincoat. Very pleased with this purchase. Great neutral, subdued brown.

I bought this coat for a trip to Costa Rica and it worked great through several days of tropical rain. It has a nice slim fit and is very lightweight for easy packing.

My daughter asked for this jacket to take on her honeymoon. She sent me a link to order it online. I checked it out ,then went to Zappos. I purchased the same jacket for less money. I have a Marmot rain jacket and this is the second one for my daughter. They are great jackets. They pack really well, and last a long time.

I love this jacket. It works well for cooler weather with a fleece layered underneath. The size seems slightly generous, which is nice.

Wonderful choice! I purchased the jacket before a trip to Italy for a family reunion. When I arrived there, two other members of the family were wearing their Marmot Precips and raving about them. It didn't take me long to see why... torrential downpours in Turin - and we were all completely dry! It's the best purchase I've made in a long time - and I'm glad I bought it from Zappos. I received it less than 24 hours after I placed the order. Thanks Zappos!

This is really a nice featherweight jacket. It's versatile. I wear it to work, to the store and even jog in it! It's great for Oregon outdoorsy activities where rain can turn to sun in no time. Then I can just fold it up and stash it in my bag. It's a great jacket! Just what I've been looking for for a long time. It was a little pricey but it's the nicest jacket of this type I've come across and I'm happy with it despite the price tag.

Outdoor gear with comfort and style! What a concept! Women's outdoor gear designed and tested by real women! This stuff has come a long way in the 20+ years since I last looked. This jacket is surprisingly comfortable and looks great! The torso is tapered for a female frame without bulk and it comes in wonderful colors! I love the Cabernet shade! Sure beats the bulky old forest green Gore-tex one I bought a zillion years ago! Nice pockets with zippers. Zips up tight if needed, but feels so light. I just can't get over how much it offers without bulk! Thank you!
