I wasn't sure about how these shoes would fit but now that I have had them for over a week, they fit fine. No breaking in period at all and for me they provide a perfect arch support. My feet do not hurt while wearing them or after. I have worn them while walking on rocks and on city pavement and have had no problems with the stability and comfort of the shoe. cute shoes too. I have been able to wear them with a maxi-dress, jeans and capris.

I've had these for about a year and I love them. I wear them at work, for moderate amounts of city walking and for light hiking. They are good for all of these purposes. I don't like them as much for all-day sightseeing on concrete sidewalks and they're fine for the first half of the day, but after a few hours I start wanting something more padded. However, on natural terrain, they're comfortable for miles and miles. In my view, they have a superbly designed minimalist footbed. There is a tiny bit of arch support and cushioning in the right places and zero heel-to-to drop, which I love. I prefer to wear them with socks because in warm weather they get a little sticky without socks. Regarding their sizing, they are true to size but when I tried them on in the store, they felt very wide. I was worried this might cause problems. But now I think they are just designed to give your toes a lot of space, which really adds to the comfort level.

I'm older (62) and am just realizing how important shoes can be to one's overall sense of well being. My daughter recommended barefoot as I have knee and lower back problems (thanks to hard clogs). I love these and my pains are subsiding. They look fine for my office job.

These shoes are very comfortable and lightweight. Also, they are true to size. Some reviews say that there is no arch support, however, I think they're pretty supportive for a low profile barefoot type shoe.

I really like these. They are light, flexible and actually give nice support although very little cushioning.

These are the greatest! Very easy on the foot and good for leisurely walking. I also use these for the Stepping and Running programs on Wii and the support is fine for these activities.

As soon as I put them on my feet were cheering. It was love at first step. I only wish there were other color combinations that would go with my wardrobe (e.g. turquoise, navy). I have another pair coming in black. The fit is right on for my size 9 feet and they are the lightest shoes I've ever worn! Comfort and great look!

This is my second pair of Merrell Pace barefoot shoes, and they are great in every way. My first are Pace Gloves that I run in and wear around town. I wore them everywhere and to do everything in Costa Rica: hiking, kayakin, canyoneering, ziplining, and they were perfect for all activities. I bought the Pure Gloves because they are cuter to wear with shorts or capris, but the can do all the same things as the Pace Gloves. I like that they are both light, supportive, dry quickly, and you can feel the ground under your feet. I am sure I will use the Pure Gloves all over Italy on my next trip. These are true to size.

This is a great walking shoe. Easy on easy off for airport security, and nicer looking than sneakers. Size is medium and appropriate. Of course great service from Zappos; got delivery in less than 2 days.

This is a super comfortable shoe. It seems so unstructured and thin, but put it on, and walk and walk and walk...you will love it. The fabric is similar to parachute material, so it's actually quite durable, and the sole is rubber. I think it's so cute and comfortable--I got the lavender.

Extremely comfortable, molds to the foot like a ballet slipper! I have a wide front foot and narrow heel, so I was unsure if these would work for me as they don't come in wide and they felt too narrow at first, but after a few wearings the shoe stretched and molded to my foot shape just like a glove. I haven't been this comfortable since I gave up wearing ballet slippers in favor of more protective soles years ago. These have a nice protective and grippy Vibram sole, with the feel and flexibility of a ballet slipper! I have a high arch, and in regular walking shoes/sneakers I usually require an extra arch support because regular sneakers don't flex much. In this shoe I don't need any extra support because the shoe allows normal use and movement of the foot, so my natural arch can do its job without needing support. My usual 10.5 fit well. I had my concerns about buying this shoe as I am a heavier person and also have a very high instep. I am thrilled to say that these shoes are amazing. It is true that the velcro strap does not completely cover the foot with my arch but I have had zero issues with any catching on fabrics or other surfaces since the exposed strap area is the 'loom' not the hook. And give that it's black on black you don't really notice that the strap is not completely across. The support is terrific and I'm having a difficult time making myself wear any of my other shoes!

Really like the shoe after reading the reviews I decided to go with my normal size as my feet are a bit wide but I am sending them back for the next size under so definitely order a size down.

I have a somewhat narrow foot and it is hard for me to find shoes that are not lace-up that actually fit. These were no exception. I could slide my finger with room to spare easily around the top of the toe area. I love Merrells but I feel bad returning so many of them for other styles. Thank goodness for free returns. I bought these shoes to work out in at home (I do a variety of cardio workout DVDs, treadmill walking and running, and weight training), and I love them. They are very convenient to slip into, perfectly comfortable, and the bonus of working my muscles in a more thorough and natural way is certainly a bonus. I would definitely recommend these (I already have), and I plan on buying a pair for my outdoor running when the weather warms up. I am definitely glad I bought these! Now I have lots of "old style" running shoes that seem stodgy... I'm hooked on "barefoot" style footwear.

I bought these shoes to visit Costa Rica. We walked and walked! And these shoes held up like champs. Great fit and no blisters!

Very comfortable shoe, the size was a bit different but getting used to it. I wear a size 7 1/2 usually but my toe hit the end kind of...so went up a size and they are large but can wear them with socks in the winter. That's what I was looking for. I like wearing sandals but can't wear them all winter not very dressy but nice for around the house and errands running around. My feet have got used to them so the 8 in not so terribly big and the strap keeps them on Merrell is really the only shoe I seem to want to wear but do have problems between knowing which to buy a - 7 1/2 or an 8.

I absolutely love these; they might just be the best shoes ever. This spring I started a daily walking regiment of 3-4 miles outside and quickly discovered that there are very few pairs of shoes that are comfortable after two miles of nonstop walking. I've gotten rid of several pairs of sporty shoes, sneakers, and sandals as a result. However, I was able to wear these shoes for my daily walk right out of the box without any discomfort and I have worn them every day since. I can even wear them barefoot in the height of summer without any blisters or chafing. They're precisely built to mold around your foot and you'll have to buy them in your true size which, in my case, was a half size larger than usual.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worked in -- I'm on my feet 10 hours a day in a medical clinic. I'm a barefoot runner and started wearing these when all other shoes started to feel too narrow in the toes. No "bunion joint" pressure, lots of toe wiggle room, and I just forget I have shoes on. They're also the cutest Mary Jane style shoes I've ever seen! Way better than Dansko's.

Love the shoes. I have a narrow foot, so they don't fit as closely as I'd like, but for a wider foot they will be perfect. Very light weight. Comfortable.

I wanted a pair of shoes that would offer more protection than sandals and more comfort than ballerina flats for walking my dog in the neighborhood. I wanted shoes that I could just slip on and off easily in the mudroom but I didn't want those hideous plastic clogs. I love the style and the pale periwinkle color is super cute. In my opinion these run at the very least a half size larger and that causes a problem with small rocks ending up in the shoe while I walk. I wear these without socks and aside from the rock situation I would say these are pretty much the perfect pair of shoes for taking a stroll with or without a canine companion.

I just campaigned for and won a local elected office and these were my on-the-street campaign shoes. They are the best for long periods of walking and standing, truly like being barefoot. I normally wear orthotics and don't need them with these. Am ready to order another pair.

This "barefoot" shoe is fantastic. It comes from a new line of products that encourages spine alignment and protecting your feet as if you were barefooted. It encourages toe-heel walking movement vs the normal heel-toe walking style, so it may make your calves sore when you first start wearing them. I got my first pair at REI and learned about the benefits of being barefoot. This shoe does not have an arch because it's like going barefoot. It's not the shoe you want if you need a good arch. It's a fantastic shoe if you love being barefoot and you want to benefit from this new technology! It's also an adorable Mary Jane!

This is a snappy little shoe that requires no break-in time. Lightweight, molds to your foot and offers surprisingly good support.
