I love these shoes! The shoe covers a lot of foot so the look is pretty conservative, especially with the low 2.5 inch heel, but the lantern color takes it to another level. I'd recommend the black for a really conservative, professional look, but for me the conservative style of the shoe takes the red color from not work-appropriate to power shoe! Warning, if you get these you'll be spoiled and won't be able to get cheaper patent ever again. The leather is beautiful and the sole is slightly textured so it doesn't slip on carpet. They do run small--I didn't size up so they chafed my heels, but they are the perfect size to wear with hose.

Glad that I followed the advice in previous reviews: I bought a size up and they fit beautifully. I usually wear flats and these heels are so comfortable, I know I will be wearing them often.

Great shoe. Comfort was actually pretty good considering the heal. Platform makes heal look higher than it feels, which is nice.

Awesome! Finally, I found a pair of heels I can wear all night and not be in excruciating pain! Of course, they're expensive, but I'm hoping to wear these for the next ten years and stop buying cheap shoes over and over again that kill my feet! They look great, too - the heel is high enough so that I don't look like a dork and the shoes look well-made and expensive. Truly worth the price.

Fantastic. Really, really comfortable and the perfect height for work. I'm awful at walking in heels, and these I don't have a problem at all. I love that the toe is between rounded and pointed, so it's not too sexy or impractical (really pointy), comfortable, and will last through trends. Two notes however: 1) I'm a bit worried about the leather soles wearing down, though a man at the Cole Haan store assured me that they perform lifetime repair work for free. So we'll see 2) If you are borderline, I would size up half a size. I'd say I'm mainly an 8.5 but also wear 9's a bit, and the 9's fit perfectly. Even if you're usually right on, I'd consider sizing up half a size and using a basic insole for a snugger fit. Lastly, thanks to Zappos for amazing customer service as usual, and a bit hint hint to Cole Haan to make these in more colors (and bring back the wing-tip brown design!).

Since I am 6' tall I usually wear flats. But I wanted to add a beautiful, classic pair of heels to my wardrobe. These fit the bill perfectly! They are surprisingly comfortable, and very well made. They go with just about anything and are sexy to boot! I love these shoes - they are totally worth the money! I did have to go up 1/2 size from my usual size.

Runs short. I normally wear size 7.5, but an 8 fit great. Stylish and comfortable at the same time and I love this shoe!

I normally wear an 8, but the 7.5 in this shoe is a little bit too big. The 7 is too small, but not exceptionally so. I made the 7.5 fit with an insole. I'd like to say that they look good on wide feet with high insteps, a definite plus. I look like a cow in some designer shoes.

These ran a bit long and wide on my feet. I ordered the next size down, but my toes were not as comfortable. Finally, I put a Pedag liner in them and they stay on my feet and they look wonderful. Smart and feminine shoe.

Bought nougat patent 5.5. I wear pretty much standard size 5.5 and it was true to size. Looks exactly as pictured and insole was comfortable. Just the right height to feel comfy yet stylish. Shows a bit too much toe cleavage which I disliked. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

This pump is so comfortable. After I had three young kids, I gave up wearing high heels for eight years. But now that I started wearing high heels again, these pumps are a life saver. I can still chase my youngest one around and walk all day with no pain. I have wide feet, so I bought a black in wide; it is a beautiful shoe with no pain.

Thrilled with this pump. It fits my bunions nicely with a roomy toe box. The heel height gives me some height without making my feet tired. Comfortable from the box with no break in required. I may have to repeat these in another color.

Beautiful and extremely comfortable shoe. I got it in lantern red and never fail to get compliments. The color really pops when you wear it with all black outfit. It's true to size for 5.5 and makes a great day to night piece. Hardly needed to break it in. Wore it from 8 am to 9 pm at work and did not chafe my skin or cause sores. Just my foot got tired from all the walking.

Love the style and the look, very elegant and, due to the structure of the leather, very rich looking. I usually wear normal with, but this shoe was very narrow, even so I had reordered as a wide. Had to return the shoe.

Beautiful shoe and good heel height for long days in the city. However, I normally wear a 10 and the 10 was too small. Trying the next half size up. Thanks Zappos for making it so easy to switch!

This shoe is beautiful, but the size 8 was way too large on me & I always wear a size 8. I love the looks of this shoe, so I am going to try it in a size 7 1/2.

My second pair of Cole Haan heels. I have had three foot surgeries and these are the only brand of heels I like.

Ordered these in a 10W and as soon as I put them on my toes felt squashed; I can't imagine how they would feel after wearing them for a full day. Too bad, it's a good looking shoe and the cushioning seems nice. I just wish Cole Haan offered a "wide" that's actually wide.

Beautiful quality. Stylish set of heel, extraordinally comfortable, definitely runs half size smaller. Well worth exchanging for a good fit.

Beautiful shoe! Chocolate brown patent very classy alternative to black. I normally wear 8 1/2 which was small - I'll try it in 9.

Not a true 10 - short and not wide. A nice looking shoe, but definitely runs small.

These shoes are terrible. I bought them in Jan 2011 to replace the black Cole Haan pumps I lost (and loved) and by April 2011 I already had to have the heels on these shoes replaced two different times (both times I took them to the CH store hoping that fix would be the last). I love Cole Haan shoes, almost all of my shoes are from Cole Haan (I have 18 pairs of them in my closet), but the Air Violet seems cheap and poorly made compared to the other pairs of I have. Disappointed.

This shoe did not feel narrow at all. It literally fell right off of my foot when I tried to walk around in it. Cole Haan products seem to be getting less consistent. If you do not need a narrow shoe, this is a moderately cute short heeled shoe.
