Ok, I took the chance with the velcro (with my husband’s advice) and... I am pressing them really hard every once in a while. Constantly aware of which shoes I am wearing. But they look fabulous!

Stylin' This boot does, indeed, deliver. It has a lot of style and is quite sexy. The boot is for larger calves and does allow me to wear my pants tucked in...But doesn't scream out "big legs here" by any means. The leather is very soft and they are immediately comfortable. I had to order a 1/2 size up to get the color I wanted...but, in truth, they tend to run slightly large. I often take a 7 1/2, but usually am an 8 in boots. The 7 1/2's definitely fit...but the 8's will do with a bit of a sock. My only wish would have been for these boots to have been higher. They hit you short in the calf and I think it compromises the look slightly. Not enough to change my general satisfaction...but if they had been higher, I would be crazy happy and would have every color available.

Great Fit - What a great boot. I have very large calves, 16 1/2, so it's quite difficult to find boots that are stylish, comfortable and fit my calves. These boots are exactly what I hoped they would be and I highly recommend them. In addition the customer service that I received was amazing. I ordered them in the morning and they were delivered to my home the very next day at no additional cost.

Wonderful fit - I would say these boots fit true to size. The look is wonderfully soft. The fit is very comfortable.

A lovely boot. These are very comfortable right out of the box. Nice soft leather. The calf measurement was right on the mark. They are a little narrower than I expected, but they still fit fine. I ordered a 9W since my feet are unusually wide. Zappos.com has excellent service, they arrived so fast!

Nice boots - These boots were just what I was looking for. They are fashionable and wide width, wide calf, low heel, and great fit. Very nice quality.

I usually wear a size 7½ or 8 and I have about 17½" calves. I can easily tuck even my bulkiest jeans into them with no pressure or discomfort and they hold their shape when I wear just tights. I bought these boots last winter and wore them very occasionally because they were uncomfortable on my heels. The one big thing that was super uncomfortable is the patented "gel insole" basically a gooey blob of gel that raises the heel in a very unnatural way. One day I was walking and the gel insole popped. It was a disgusting mess inside the boot and ruined my sock to the degree I had to throw them out. But the silver lining is that they were so much more comfortable after that. After cleaning the gooey blobby mess out of the boot, it was still sticky inside, so I put an old sneaker insole into them. Now I wear them everyday and get tons of compliments. I know it sounds weird for me to suggest that you destroy your new boots when you get them to make them more comfortable but honestly it changes them from being a moderately expensive closet ornament to an everyday awesome pair of boots.

Finally I found a boot that fits these calves 16 inches. Just got them today and they were perfect size 8. Love the look and the feel. This is the first pair of boots that fit comfortably all around. May not be for everyone especially if you're not sure about your calf width. Very happy and satisfied with this purchase. Thanks Zappos, I'll wear them with everything!

Love these boots but had to send them back. I ordered a 13w for my rather large feet and it was too narrow in the toe box. Seems wide to shoe manufacturers means wide in the ankle area, not the toes.

Just received these boots. Trust me, do not order a bigger size than you normally wear. Also, if you have a narrow to average width foot, this boot will be too wide. I have a relatively wide foot and the M width was perfect. Boot does hit a bit low on the leg; it hits right at the largest part of the calf, which, in my opinion, accentuates the calf size. Not sure yet what I will do. It's a nice casual style boot, the leather is okay, but nothing great.

Almost but not quite right - This is one of the nicest pairs of wide calf boots I have found. Unfortunately, the shoe portion was not wide enough for my feet! If it had been available in a WW width, it would have been just fine for me. It is true to size in length and the calf is generous. Also, it is a very good quality boot. I was sorry to have to return them.

Great everyday boot - These boots are very comfortable and stylish. The only complaint I have is that the toe is not really pointed or square so looks a little awkward under wide leg pants.

Great boot - I love this boot and get a lot of compliments on it. The only problem I experience is heel pain on the bottom of my foot if I wear them more than 5 hrs straight.

I just received my Uggs and I love them. First of all Zappos is amazing. They have great customer service and they shipped three pairs of Uggs in a week and I ordered them on all different days. I am a size 6 women and was not sure what I would be in kids so I ordered a 6 kids and they were too big i then ordered a 5 kids and was still too big and the size 4 kids were perfect. They are very comfortable and warm.

While these fit my calf, they hit an a completely unflattering height! Return!

Love the look, but sadly the calf was just too wide and my leg was floating around in the shoe. Will have to return these.

Loved them, but sent them back. I bought these in brown and loved them, but I had to return them. I wear a size 9 so I got my normal size. The calf wasn't big enough for me. If only it had a little give to it, it would have been perfect. I'm sad that I sent them back, but I don't think a size bigger would have helped. I think for being wide, it was pretty narrow.

I wear a 12 M and have long (I'm over 6' tall) shins with muscular calves (17.5). Hard to find a decent fitting shoe, let alone boot. I tried these and the Valencia. These were snug around foot (my foot is on narrow side of medium width with skinny ankles) and baggy around my ankles. The calves are very wide, too. I didn't like the cheaper looking heel on this boot (compared to Valencia w/nice heel) and thought the buckles were weirdly placed (would have looked better on side of boot). Sent these back, kept the Valencia. :)

I have very large calf-17 1/2 inches and have not been able to find ANY boots that are styligh or that would zip around my legs with out buldging over or squeezing my legs. These boots fit perfect wth no issues of zipping them up. They fit around my calves perfect!!! The boots are lined with a warm linning but they are not too hot. I ordered a wide width and exchanged them for a regular width. I get compliments on them every time I wear them and will be ordering more boots from the company. Thank you Fitzwell for making stylish and comfortable boots for women who have large calfs!!!
