I rolled my ankle in a pothole at work last September and I am still suffering from nerve damage. Walking is painful and physical therapy is excruciating! This is the only shoe I can wear. I get great arch support and when I swell, which is rather frequently, it's the only pair I can get on! I have tried NIKE shocks and AIR, as well as Reebok, and DR. Scholl. Nothing competes.

This is my second pair of Merrells! I very much enjoy the comfort! The service of Zappos is great! I will be getting some more in other colors, I am very active 72 year old lady and I resisted for long time to choose to this type of shoe vs "designer's fashionable looks" but this are so comfortable and somehow still feminine looking! The first pair I purchased as an "Emergency." I had walked teen age grandchildren all through the Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive shops and malls etc, on my 2" high heels and I needed a break, so I stop at a shoe store and purchased the first pair! Now I can walk two hours more! Love it! Happy feet!

These shoes are comfortable from the time you take them out of the box and put them on. No break in period. They run a half size large for me. I ordered a 6.5 instead of 7 and they fit perfect. If shoe manufacturers would be consistent on shoe sizes, it would make life so much easier to shop.

Great shoe, well made, true to size - I usually order a wide in sports shoes but this wide was a tad bit wider than normal, still, the fit was good enough to keep.

These shoes provide amazing comfort. I had another pair of these that lasted for years and when it was finally time to replace them, I knew that I had to have another pair just like them. I do not know how Merrell makes shoes that feel so good, but no other shoes give me the comfort that these do. I love Merrell!

I love these for work. I can wear my insoles for plantar fasciitis and they are comfortable all day. They go great with scrubs.

Zappos.com is GREAT. I was having difficulty finding this shoe, so I went online and found Zappos.com. I love these shoes, and was so happy to have found them, and then have them delivered right to my door. They fit great, and are a breeze to wear!

I love this shoe! I was originally looking for an athletic-looking slide-on shoe to use daily in my pet-sitting and dog-walking visits. Not finding one I re-visited the Merrell and decided the amazing reviews it got was worth a try. I got them about a month ago and have rarely worn another shoe since. They are very comfortable and provide excellent support. I am on my feet a lot throughout the day and I feel great when I wear these shoes. I plan on buying a second pair in a half-size larger so I can wear them with thicker socks in the colder months.

These shoes are so comfortable, light and easy to wear. Especially good for traveling. My third pair!

These Merrell shoes are awesome and seems to be designed for people who actually use their feet rather than just looking pretty in high heels. These are by far the best shoes that I have ever worn for everyday knocking around (and they even dressier with the black). I have been wearing the Merrell Encore for four years now and they are the best shoes ever for keeping your feet feeling fantastic. Do yourself (and your feet) a favor and buy these shoes!

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are my go-to shoe for running errands, sight-seeing, etc.

I wish I could buy more pairs. I have an extra wide foot and these are very comfortable. I wear these shoes everywhere. I was worried that they would slide but I can walk and climb steps with no problems. I love these shoes.

Super comfortable and they support my feet very well. I have flat feet and ruptured my Achilles so definitely need arch support and can't go barefoot. I got the beige color which I really like. A great neutral which goes with everything. I'm an 8-8.5 and went with a 8. I probably should've gone with 8.5.

Finding comfortable shoes for work has been a problem for many years! After over 40 years of nursing my feet, back, and hops have paid a price...even with orthotics and expensive tennis shoes. This shoe has won me over! It is comfortable for even a busy ten hour day. I have bad bunions requiring a wide toe box. The lip in the back is just enough to help provide support but allow my foot to move more so as to not aggravate my sciatica. I am so relieved to be able to wear this shoe and avoid further injury. Will be ordering another color/pair soon.

A friend recommended this shoe and I love it! I have trouble getting a comfortable shoe so I am very happy to fine this make. I wear it with everything inasmuch as I can no longer wear those 'cute' shoes. It's easy on - easy off, like a slipper with great support.

These are great casual shoes that I purchased to go with blue jeans. They are super comfortable for all of the standing and walking I do at work. The breathable mesh-like fabric will make them suitable for even summertime.

True to size. Consistent with similar Merrell shoes. Navy color is a very hip slightly teal shade, goes with either navy or teal tones. Dark sole is more versatile and seasonless than the previous navy with white sole. I have this shoe in other colors since it's comfortable and versatile. My feet are very hard to fit and this footbed is great. I have bunions and the seamless upper is the best.

These shoes were a gift for my mother who needs very comfortable shoes. These are the only style she will wear. She is on her feet all day.

I have been wearing this type of Merrell shoes (leather and breeze fabric) for years. I have foot problems and they are the best shoes for my feet. I put my orthotics inside them. I really love the silver mist that I just bought. Four people complimented me on them and asked where I purchased them. You can't go wrong with the Encore Merrell shoes. They also run true to size.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort of these! Very cushioned and supportive. I wish the arch was a little more prominent for my high arches, but would probably work for most people. Wide, but not too wide, in the toe box. Usually wear mostly size 8, ordered the 7-1/2 and they fit perfectly. Got the dark tan ones and love the color for any season. Hoping the mesh doesn't wrinkle up too much after wear. Just got them yesterday and wore them all night. More comfortable than a slipper!
