My husband has a pair of Merrells like these and thinks they are very comfortable. I wish I would have tried them on in a store before buying them, because there is no cushioning in the footbed; they're hard so I'll have to buy inserts for some cushioning.

I love Merrell Encore shoes because they are vegan friendly but have to return 3 pairs, all at different sizes because all of them were made with the left shoe is smaller than the right shoe, and they don't have enough deep to accommodate customized orthotics. On the other hand, the representative is very friendly and helpful when I talked to him on the phone regarding exchange for the shoes.

I'm disappointed that the company has replaced the Primo Breeze 2. I've had two pairs and loved them. Now I want to replace them and this is the newest version. It slips off my feet (the old ones are perfect)and the sole is hard and stiff. Please, please bring back my perfect shoes! (Why do companies always do this?)

I have loved this shoe for the last four years or so. When I ordered the new pair this year, I got the Encore Breeze 2. It did not fit as well as the Encore Breeze at all. Luckily, I could still order the Encore Breeze in my size and the color I wanted. Please, please tell Merrells that we want our regular Breeze or the Encore Breeze and not the Encore Breeze 2! They had a great shoe which many of us loved and changed it. I will hope that they take note.

Loved the color, but just didn't fit like the others I've bought. Not only too big, but the shape of the toe box was off for my foot. Your earlier models were awesome, but the last couple of years, they just aren't as comfortable. I have 4 pairs of the older shoes and I live in them! Wish you would go back to the previous design!

The toe box was much smaller than I expected, thus it rubs and is uncomfortable, leaving red marks.

Several years ago, I bought a Merrell leather clog that looked very similar to this called the "Encore Groove". I love it and wear it every day in cooler weather. I have narrow heels and skinny feet but it stays on my feet (I had to replace the insole with a different arch support to add some volume). The soles are still in good shape but the leather is pretty scuffed and I would love to buy more of these but the style has been discontinued. I have tried both the Encore Breeze and the Nova and neither will stay on my foot. The back of the Groove was 1.5 inches high and it is lower on these newer styles. Also the leather on the "Groove" covers more of the top of my foot (extends closer to the ankle) which keeps it secure on my foot. Because of these changes, I cannot wear any current styles of Merrell clog. I have a lot of foot issues so I continue to wear my scuffed old ones but am very disappointed that they have stopped making a clog that fits my type of foot!

I have been wearing these shoes for years. I am still wearing the pair I bought 2 years ago.
This pair does not fit the same. The toe box is lower and they feel slightly shorter and narrower. They mesh fabric Merrell is using this year is different too. I'm going to try them a 1/2 size larger. I have trouble finding shoes that fit so I hope these do.

While these are oh-so comfortable and fit like a glove, I can't wear mine anymore. After just a month or so, the soles smelled so badly--like cat urine--that I had to throw them away. I aired them out, wore socks, did everything I could to make them work, but I've never had shoes that smelled like this before. It's too bad because I would have loved to have worn them more.

Okay, this review doesn't really apply to women, which I realize is kind of weird, but I have to vent: Do you appreciate a comfortable pair of shoes above little else? I do. Taking good care of your feet is such an integral part of good health and well being. And for that reason, I am sad to report the passing of the best pair of shoes on Earth: the Merrell Encore Breeze for men. In a business decision nearly as stupid as Netflix', Merrell has cut the balls off of the best men's shoes on earth. Literally, they've made the Encore Breeze a women's-only model. When I called Merrell, they said that the Bypass had replaced the Encore Breeze for men. But that's crap. It's a very different shoe and, for use without socks - is much worse. If you put on a pair of socks, and you're looking for a heavier, more sturdy version of the Encore Breeze, the Bypass is great. But if you want a very light pair of shoes that you can wear at home with or without socks, the Bypass is no good. I tried buying a pair of women's Enore Breeze. Fortunately for me, the largest pair of women's shoes - 11 - is the same length as a men's 9.5. But, it's way more narrow and the wide versions are always out of stock so I haven't been able to try those. A truly bone headed decision by Merrell that I hope will be corrected soon.

I was very disappointed in this shoe. The liner is 1/4 inch thin molded foam. After one day of wearing the liner is showing toe impressions and will soon need to be replaced. Walmart type shoe.

The Encore Breeze is disappointing due to 2 main factors: needs additional arch support insert causes my feet to sweat I ended up purchasing a leather insert after adding an arch support. I am currently awaiting arrival of leather insert. Hopefully, it will solve problem.

I wear a size 9 in all shoes...somewhat slender foot, normal arch. I have an old pair of these in a 8.5 which fit great. I have currently tried a 7.5, 8, 8.5 and all 3 fit exactly the same...too big!

I just received these a month ago and have worn them almost every day since then. I am delighted to have discovered these. I have other Merrells, but neuropathy has made it almost impossible to wear any shoes at all. I even bought slippers to wear at work but they made me feel like an old lady. I ordered my regular size, but they were half a size too big. I am so glad that Zappos made exchanging them a cinch. I am going to order more colors tonight. The wide is wide but there is no side pressure on your feet at all. These are a miracle.
