I really like this shirt! I'm 6' and pretty slim and I got a medium and its a little big in the shoulders and body but the sleeves are long enough (although I usually wear them rolled up). I wear it at the lake in 90 degree weather and remain pretty cool. I got the Sunlit yellow and its so sunny and cheery! It's really true to the color in the picture. Overall, its a great shirt and I would consider buying another one!

This was my absolute fave shirt for travel and backpacking until I accidentally washed it with lipstick in the pocket. I loved the shirt so much I immediately ordered a replacement. The color is a beautiful yellow, goes well with my other travel clothes, and I've received many compliments.

Nice quality and I like the length, which is just below hip; flattering and practical for outdoors activities. Just ordered another one. Wish it came in more colors! I even ordered a color I don't really care for just because the fit is great.

This is the second Bahama shirt I've purchased. I am most concerned of the sun rays and really need a shirt that is cool outdoors and will keep those awful harmful effects away. With the UPF 30, I felt sun safe. The collar is button down but also opens up to help cover the neck, has nice ventilation and capability to roll sleeves up if you like. Two large pockets for some storage and a place to hang glasses round out the front.

I have worn this style shirt for many years, mainly for walking holidays. They have always been of good quality and very practical. BUT AT LAST a beautiful colour too, I love it so much I bought a second one straight away.
NOTE TO COLUMBIA...ladies of certain dimensions really don't need all those pockets!

I bought this shirt in march, and after reading the reviews I opted to go with a large because some were claiming it was tight in the shoulders. I have pretty broad shoulders but the large is much to big, I ordered the same shirt in short sleeve and medium not long ago and it fits perfect, it is not tight but it is not so lose and baggy that it doesn't still look feminine. Other then that I really like this shirt and plan to order more in short sleeve and long.

Comfortable, packable (a few spritzes,a couple of shakes and wrinkles are gone!)and love the color (clear blue)! Thanks!
As for fit, I use the shirt as a jacket, so the generous size is perfect!

I love the vented back in this shirt, as it works well as an "overshirt". It drys quickly & is great for traveling.

I really like both the long sleeved shirt and the short sleeved shirt. I own many colors of both. I wear a small in the short sleeved shirt but a medium in the long sleeved one. The long sleeved one runs smaller in the body than the short sleeved ones. I normally wear a medium in shirts so I would say the short sleeved shirt runs big and the medium is truer to size.
After washing, I put them in the dryer for a short time, then hang them to dry when damp and they look good. If you over dry them, they will be very wrinkled.

I bought two of these for my wife because we are doing some tropical traveling. I wanted an all nylon shirt for her so it will dry fast (unlike cotton) and won't stink (unlike polyester). She needs something to protect her from the sun and mosquitos. She's not a huge fan of the way they look (they look functional, not fashionable as she normally dresses), but she knew that before the purchase. The colors are true to the picture and the size is true to the description. The shirt is high quality and will perform its intended purpose very well. Very happy with the purchase!

I like these shirts to wear as shirts, and over tank tops in the summer. The sleeves roll up and are anchored with a tab and button which gives them a three quarter length. Thus, these long sleeved shirts become good year round buys!

I am in my mid-60s and a big woman. I bought a Columbia "fishing" shirt years ago. It is still functional but pretty worn, and I wanted a new shirt to wear when hiking. I thought this would be a fairly simple exercise. So many nearby stores carry Columbia products, after all.
After searching through every store in the area, I discovered that no one in my area covered THIS style. Everything was either cotton or it was very fitted and had few (if any) pockets. Unacceptable. I decided to try this website, and I am so glad I did!
This is exactly what I wanted. Yes, the sizes run slightly large, but I often wear the shirt as a layer, and I'd call it "roomy" not unattractive. It is easy off and weighs nothing in a backpack. It has lots of places to tuck away whatever you need. It's lightweight and dries quickly. It is very comfortable with room to move around. The color (I got the green) is great. I am so pleased!
It's great to know that, even if retail in general does not stock hiking clothes for women who are older and may not want a fitted little snappy little shirt, Columbia gets it. I'll definitely be back!

Very light weight and very cute and stylish. Don't know how it will hold up as I have only had it a short while. Bought it for horseback riding in hot weather. Have worn it twice.

A great shirt for the sun; it protects extremely well. I love it for kayaking. Its light weight and true fit make it very comfortable for a day on the water. When wet; it dries in minutes.

When we are out deep sea fishing or even just on the beach all day, it is always so hot that everyone is just in bathing suits. At some point though sunscreen runs out and I always get burned! The Bahama Long Sleeve is light weight enough that I can throw it on and enjoy not being burned AND not burn up!

I bought this shirt because I am doing a biodiversity study in the woods this summer. I needed something light and breezy (because of the brutal Texas heat) but also something durable that wouldn't rip when working through brush. This shirt is wonderful for both purposes! It quickly wicks away my sweat and protects me from things like posion ivy. Can't wait to buy another one!
They are slightly large, but I think that's good because you don't want something too grippy when working outside.

Considering the hype surrounding fishing shirts, I'm very happy to say that the popularity of these shirts is not unfounded in the slightest. The shirt is beyond comfortable, even on the hottest of days in Texas. A great buy, and definitely not the last PFG to be gracing my closet with its presence.

I love this shirt, ordered 2 so far. The colors are great, they're comfortable too. I have two suggestions: 1. use better buttons. The bi-colored, "trying to look like bone" buttons aren't attractive. 2. consider offering an identical shirt, in the nylon, with a spread collar (a little more feminine looking). Great shirt!

Please do not ever redesign or stop making this shirt. I wear these shirts to work everyday in summer and winter. I spend most of every work day evenly split between inside the office and outside in the plant. In the summer when it is 100+ degrees this shirt breathes and dries almost immediately so even when I am inside where there is air conditioning I don't freeze like I do with cotton shirts. In the winter because the fabric wicks moisture away from the skin, it works marvelously well as a thermal. Just put a sweater over it and you are set. It is a button down so no worries about untidy collars so it is good for both office wear in front of clients as well as out in the plant. Also as long as you take it out at the end of your drying cycle and hang it up no ironing is required. Finally, these shirts get washed everyday, literally everyday and after 8 months of constant wear and washing they still look practically new. I can't say enough good things about this shirt. I have been incredibly impressed. So much so I just bought three more.
