first time I wore these was fishing the flats off Key West, very comfortable even when wet, they are now my favorite fishing shorts, they run just a bit small which is great for me, I am a 35 waist and the 36 fits perfect. Wish they came in more colours.

Fit much better than other shorts and my wife loves the color "Grill". I wear them a lot and bought 2 other pairs in different colors.

Shorts are 'cut leaner' than other pairs of Columbia Shorts - that's the only issue - had to go one size up from previous for comfort. Love all the pockets and great storage. Thoughtful construction, stress points are reinforced and the open pockets are within easy reach but out of the way where they could be a nuisance, or items stored there could be dislodged.

I love these shorts! Very functional and dry quickly while on the water!!!

Great fishing short. Reinforced pockets, lots of pockets, wicking, UV protection, very comfortable. Purchased in the dark blue. Will purchase more. You cant go wrong with this performance fishing short.

I have been wearing Columbia shorts for many years. I just found these Barracude shorts and am really enjoying them. I now own 4 pairs . They keep their shape and do not wrinkle as much as my prior shorts.

As a professional fishing guide, I need clothing that stands up to the extreme exposure to sun, saltwater and wear and tear on a daily basis. These Columbia shorts meet those standards and are also very functional as to comfort and pocket design .

I have purchased these in the past and I needed another pair. They are comfortable and functional. Great short and they hold up to the worst conditions while fishing

Too tight so go up a size. Also thought the material would be lighter/softer. Material was stiff.

This a very well made short and the perfect color I wanted. Would have given it a five star, but this short runs a little small compared to other Columbia shorts and doesn't have any give either. Other that that, excellent short.

I don't know what happened to the pair I ordered unlike other reviews, my size 32 ran small. I ordered other shorts, size 32, not problem, but these were too tight for a 32.

I love these, worn them for years. For some reason, the last two pair have been a bit big in the waist for me. There's always a lot of little threads I must cut or burn away because the appearance of threads looks like they were made very quickly or poorly. Over all these are the best functioning shorts I have ever had.

These are a good looking pair of shorts, but the really do run a little small. I didn't listen to other reviewers and bought my typical waist size and they are too tight. I am having to send them back and get a size bigger. The material is awesome it kind of looks and feels a little like nylon but is mainly cotton.

I fish but I don't fish for Barracuda. I find that these shorts for my needs are however Killer. Columbia delivers..... Again. Light weight nicely styled quality cotton/nylon blend rip stop material and construction which when exposed to H20 dry quickly. Good 10" inseam length. Hip and leg areas have a relaxed fit on me. Waist may be 0.5 to 1.0 " smaller than advertised as other reviews report but I buy them a size larger to adjust for this potential in off shore construction. That said I find mine to be very comfortable, flexible and soft enough next to my skin. They launder well but ensure you follow the instructions.... use cold H20 only for best results! Air dry then dryer fluff using damp dryer sheet and they should not require ironing. Minimal sun protection rated at 15 SPF but they are shorts so lather up for Mr. Sun. Over all function is good but the single right side cargo pocket with Velcro closure for my optimal function could stand to be an inch deeper, wider and longer. The 2 front side pockets have good depth to keep in keys, change, pocket knife, etc. Approximate 2" x 5" lower right side pocket may have value for some but is not secure at top. Has 3 fixed loops on right leg to possibly hang stuff on if you want to use them but they may have another use that I am unaware of. Has 2 back flap over pockets left one with Velcro closure and the right one having a hidden security zipper. Would have liked the front and rear security zipper to be the brass type for added quality which should not add more than $2.50 to the suggested retail price currently at $40.00. Purchased these at my local retailer. The price even at full retail is a great value compared to competitors whose names begin with O, LLB, RR, NF, and P with their version of this product style. I recommend you try these and hope you will be as satisfied as I am with the Columbia men's Barracuda Killer short. Tips up and Tight Lines. Catch and Release, fish

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. He particularly appreciates the deep pockets. When wearing other shorts with more shallow pockets, he was always losing stuff. My only complaint would be that they were just a bit tight after laundering. Had this not happened, I would have given them five stars for sure.

Great shorts for Summer! I wear these once a week to work and they have held up great.

Bought four pairs of the Men's Barracuda Killer Shorts to use during my guiding trips in South Florida. Liked the looks, feel and how quickly the material dries after I get them wet but I like deep front pockets that won't allow stuff to fall out when I move around the boat. If the pockets had been deeper I would have rated them five stars. I am on The Pro Guide Program!

the picture shows stretch in the waist but they do not have.

Good shorts but runs small, was disappointed with the fit. Not a true fit.
