I bought these shoes to wear to the Maritimes. They were light and comfortable right away, unlike my Skechers which are heavy and required an orthotic. I need this type of shoe for an Achilles injury, not to tone my legs.

These seemed a little narrow at first but I've been wearing them now for almost a month and they fit great. Had to get my arch used to the extra cushion so I changed into another pair of shoes mid day for a few days. I never had these kind of shoes before. My job is a lot of standing in one spot so the extra sole in the center of my foot bothered me for a bit but I'm getting used to them and love them. If your on the go alot they are very,very comfortable for walking. Would recommend.

These shoes have really helped my plantar fasciitis. They are super-comfortable and fit well. I agree that you feel like you are walking on a cloud when wearing these. Great price for an excellent buy!

I love these shoes! I feel like I am walking on clouds, my feet don't hurt anymore or my ankles! I just ordered another pair in a different color!

These are nice looking shoes and very comfortable. I always buy a half size larger in sneakers, and these worked fine. As always, excellent service.

I am so excited that I decided to spend the money to get this great pair of shoes. They have the Rock and Tone soles but they aren't so big that they look weird. I have had a lot of pain in my feet in the past few months because of low arches and walking or standing for an extended amount of time was not an option. I wore these shoes all day 2 days in a row and just took a morning walk around the neighborhood and I literally have zero foot or ankle pain. This is a feat I didn't know I would be able to accomplish again.

I got these on sale and such a steal! The most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned, bar none. The rocking took little to get use to, not too exaggerated in the step, and I certainly noticed my legs working a lot more. I've been an avid walker for 20 years and felt the extra toning effects in my calves and thighs, without question. Coincidentally and amazing, the pain is gone I endured in front of my left hip (most likely caused by the poor support of my previous walking shoes!) Plus, I love the earthy brown and blue color over the usual palettes available. Note: they do run a little snug than my usual true size 9 which is OK for me, but may not be for others. Thanks Zappos for this NB gem!

These are the best in shoe! Really, I brought them on vacation and was so happy I did! I walked all day with no pain and I got a workout too! Love them!

I love the comfort. I've never tried the workout shoe but I can feel the workout I'm getting. I'm still getting use to them but I love them. I love the toe box since I've had toe surgery and don't like too tight of a shoe. Customer Service is the best I've ever seen before. Love ordering from Zappos. Never disappointed.

I was very pleased with the performance of this shoe. It's lightweight and it has excellent arch support. The shape of the sole helps to add fluidity and grace when you walk. As for size, I usually wear a 10, but I need an 11 in the New Balance brand. For me, it took about a week to get used to wearing this shoe, but I work as a cashier, so I'm standing on concrete floors all day for 8-10 hour shifts; I definitely recommend this shoe!

These shoes are super comfortable. Unlike other "shaping" footwear they don't have such a dramatic curve on the bottom. I don't feel unstable and my feet don't hurt. I love these shoes! New Balance got it right!

These are wonderful shoes. I have had other new balance and these are great too. My right shoe does seem to be a wide in the heal.. slips a little, but then it could be my heal. I would order another pair.

This is my 5th pr of the NB Rock & Tone shoes and each pair has been worn without any break-in time! Twice I've worn a new pair on vacation after just taking them out of the box. I have 2 knee replacements and the NB Rock & Tone has proven to be the most comfortable shoe I've worn, since my surgeries. I do use posted insoles in them, due to my lower than normal arches, since the NB insoles just don't have enough arch support for my particular problem. But, with this shoe, I can walk all day without my feet bothering me. I didn't buy them for their advertised "toning" ability, which I, honestly, haven't noticed but for their sheer comfort when walking. I'm glad the Rock & Tone now comes in several "fun" styles & colors, too, besides white & black and I also appreciate their economical price range.

These shoes are amazing! First day I wore them, I could feel the muscles in my legs and thighs working overtime. They work best if you wear them every other day so your muscles don't get used to the movement. I had to take the insoles out though as the fit was a little too tight with them in. Have recommended and will buy these shoes again.

I have a bad back with occasional sciatica plus I have hallux rigidus on my right big toe, so I needed a very supportive shoe that would keep pressure off of my toes. I have a steel plate orthotic for my right foot and needed a shoe that it would fit in, but I don't need it for these shoes! The rocker action is only slight, but enough to keep me off of my toes. These shoes fit like a glove right out of the box, but I had to order a half size larger. Since wearing them, my back problems have improved immensely and I do not have foot pain afterward. Great product and the price was unbeatable. Only caution - do not use this shoe for aerobics - it is only to be used for walking or standing for long periods of time. Love Zappos service and am a loyal customer!

Absolutely fantastic shoe! Easiest to walk in that I've ever owned. In fact, I plan on buying another pair. Comfortable, not too heavy like some walking shoes, and gives you an nice easy rock as you walk.

These are great! I wear an appliance due to an ankle injury and need a rocker bottom shoe. These fill the bill comfortably and are so lightweight! I wear the most of the time unless I am going to a formal event. I usually wear a size 8 but I needed a larger size to accommodate the appliance. The exchange was a piece of cake and fast.

Very comfortable walking shoe! I ordered a pair yesterday (they were on sale!), got them today, and just got back from a walk. These shoes have a gentle rocking motion that is easy to accommodate. Now that I'm sitting, I think I feel my lower abs more than I normally do after a walk - who knows? I ordered my regular NB size, and the 1645 fit me just fine. Zappos really rocks customer service!

Just got these today and love them so far. I wear a size 8; have a high arch and wide foot. I ordered an 8 wide and they fit perfect. I ordered them yesterday afternoon and got them by noon today...thank you Zappos for great service.

I had a similar-looking pair of hiking shoes that I loved, so when I saw these, I had to have them as well. There are not many shoes I can wear for a six-hour walk out of the box on the first day, but these (as well as the #645 hiking shoes) were perfectly comfortable without needing any breaking in period. I love the casual style and the color, which still looks great, even when they get dirty.

I only wear New Balance Tennis shoes. and was happily surprised at how these work. I love them. I plan to throw away my other New Balance shoes and only wear these. After wearing them for a full day I felt my muscles in my legs that night. So they do work. They helped to align my knees and I have increased my walking distance. Thanks New Balance. I have already recommended them to my friends.
