I purchased these Birkenstocks from Zappos because they had the best price online. I wanted Birkenstocks in particular because I have plantar fasciitis and was told Birkenstocks were the best sandals to wear to not aggravate it. The process was quick and painless, I needed to get them before I went on vacation and they arrived just in time.

This is my 3rd pair of Birkenstock sandals. My shoe size is 7, for Birkenstock sandals, size 8N is perfect for me. I really liked that the sandal comes in narrow width. The two stripes provide better support for my feet; no flipping like the single stripe one that I used to have. I will only buy this style of Birkenstock sandal in the future.

Birkibuc w/standard footbed -
I love Birkenstocks, but my favorites are the soft footbed in the Arizona and Boston styles. It seems this Birkibuc w/standard footbed feels a bit narrower at the back of the arch and heel area. I don't get that feeling with the soft footbed. I will probably wear out the Birkibuc's just like I wear out my more favorite choices. I have enough pairs to keep an extra in my car in case I need a quick change.

This company is such a rip-off..if you get these sandals wet they fall apart...they are glued all around and mine only lasted 6 months before they fell apart ..for your own sake stay away from these sandals...the price for these fake shoes should be like $12.00

It's difficult for me to give a fair rating for these shoes. When I'm standing still, one of my ankles is angled in, kind of like overpronation, except that it's overpronating while I'm just standing. That causes my foot to shift the Birkenstock sandal so that my foot is kind of diagonal to the shoe. My foot doesn't fit into the molded footbed of the the Birkie. I know the sandals will mold to your feet, but I think they would need drastic molding to my foot and I'm not sure that's possible. Plus, I was starting to experience joint pain in my big toe while wearing it. On my other foot (without the goofy ankle), the sandal fit comfortably and I think after the break-in period it would have been a good shoe. Unfortunately, I have two feet and I like to wear the same style of shoe on both feet. I know -- I'm picky.

Initially these sandals felt great. They fit and looked good. However, I wore them for the first time and got awful cuts on my left foot from the material rubbing. It has been a few months and I still have scars. Luckily, Zappos customer service is so exceptional, they let me return the worn pair for a suede pair. The suede pair has been awesome. If you can splurge for the more expensive pair, I would highly recommend it. Also, I am a size 6.5 and the 35 fits perfectly in the length.

I have to say I am seriously disappointed ... I have been wearing Birkenstock Milanos (they look just like the Arizona, but with a backstrap) for 20 years without a problem. They always fit like a glove in size 39, narrow.
Now I thought I could try the Arizona since the only difference seemed to be the backstrap and I loved the idea of being able to just slip into my sandals instead of having to fasten the backstrap first. Seemed like a slam n dunk for me. Boy was I wrong.
I started with an order directly from Birkenstock.com, since they had a color not available on Zappos. They were super cute and came only in a narrow size (made for women only), and the first thing I noticed that that they were much more narrow than my Milanos. They also were too short.
But I thought that maybe the problem was due to them being sized for women and that I should just get the unisex narrow as the Milanos are also unisex. No biggie, I thought and went back to Zappos because they have this awesome one day shipping (Birkenstock.com took a week), and ordered this pretty sandal in stone. I was so disappointed to find out that even though this sandal indeed is a little bit wider and longer than the previous one, it my toes would still slide forward too much and go over the front of the sandal while walking. I even tried on another version in leather and size 40 because maybe Arizonas run a little smaller than Milanos? But in those sandals which clearly were too big, my toes also went over the edge of the front.
So, sadly I came to the conclusion that my feet just aren't made for the Arizonas and obviously I need a backstrap to secure the sandal in place? I have no clue why this is, but it is sad since I love Birkenstock's footbed (and always will) and would have liked to be able to wear their most popular sandal.
So the only advice I can give here now - if you find that the Arizona doesn't fit you, try the Milano. Birkenstock's footbed is worth it.

I normally wear a size 9/9.5 in most shoes, and a 9 in Birkenstock's is a bit big, so I ordered the 8. Well, the 8 was a bit small. I really wish these came in half sizes, as 8.5 would have been perfect. Also, I ordered the M, as I have bunions on both feet. The M was fine across my bunion areas, but the other strap was too loose. I guess I could have taken it to someone to have more holes put in, but that seemed a bit much for a new shoe. The materials were very nice, although this style is very clunky looking on my feet. So, they are being returned.

When these Birkenstock Arizona;s arrived, I thought I might not like them because they were stiff. I wore them for several days and they have started to soften into comfortable footwear. I have had them for only a few weeks, and the weather has been cold enough that I haven't worn them a lot yet, so the final verdict is still out. Sam

Love the and fit. The only reason I gave a 2 star overall is because the upper is not leather and I thought it was. The upper is a fake leather.

These are super comfy but I’m surprised by the poor quality when they aren’t t cheap. They have a visible flaw (either a glue spot or missing glue).

something is different about this Birk, my feet hurt as soon as I tried them on. I have owned multiple Birks over the last 30 years, including Arizona's but something was wrong with this pair.

Love these shoes, have always loved the quality of Birkenstocks. HOWEVER, my husband has only had them for a little over 3 months and soles are basically worn out! And he only wears them in and around the house. I’ve never experienced poor quality like this. His last Birkenstocks lasted 5 years!

Fit was good, except a little too wide (and I have pretty wide feet). Sadly, the cork is separating from the soles already and I’ve only worn them a few times inside the house, so they are going back. I’m disappointed b/c I absolutely love the look of the color and hardware as well as the comfort and support of these. I have a pair of Birks from 7 years ago that haven’t done this, seems like the quality of Birkenstocks has gone down.

Bought these for my daughter at the end of April, and they are already falling apart! I was reluctant to buy the less expensive pair, but read the reviews and didn’t think it would be a problem. I’m hoping Zappos will exchange for the leather Birkenstock’s. Birkenstocks should last for many years. I wouldn’t buy these again and definitely don’t recommend them!

The fit was OK, but the shoe is very hard feeling, especially the sole of the shoe was hard with no apparent cushion. Continued to be very uncomfortable to wear even after 2-3 weeks. of use. I have purchased a number of Birkenstock sandals over the years, this purchase was inferior compared to other purchases.

It hadn’t even occurred to me that there might be a Birkenstock Sandle with a man made upper. It’s $100 sandal. The whole sandal is lighter weight than my other birkenstocks (feels cheaper,) there is visible glue on the side of the sole, and the strap with the cheap polyester felt feels flimsy and well, cheap. Certainly not worth the savings. For $24, you can get the oiled leather and get something that actually looks and feels like a Birkenstock. I honestly thought these were a knockoff when I saw them....

I purchased these Arizona sandals because they are made with vegan friendly Birkibuc material. Nowhere in the description was the suede footbed mentioned. They have been in my closet since I purchased them in February waiting for warmer weather. After wearing them today I noticed the animal skin suede. Vegans...don't let "birkibuc" fool you!

Vegans, be aware,. While the exterior/top is a man made material,, the inside of these are still faced with suede.

These are terrible. This is my first bad experience with Zappos. These are not the thick substantial leather that I am used to. It is thin leather with felt glued to the underside. To make it even worse, and more bizarre, the sandals arrived in an orange NIKE box, and the buckle on one was chewed up and twisted. What is going on over there?!!
