These are very sturdy yoga blocks. They're heavier than the foam blocks, but that helps make them feel more stable during certain poses

I really love this cork block. I am about a level 2 in yoga and when I am working on half moon or extended side warrior 2, this block is nice and sturdy. I feel grounded and supported to work into the pose as deep as I want.

I did several hours of research and contacted the top yogis in the area and the answer was clear and concise: Manduka cork yoga block. There just isn't another block on the market that is both for yoga and made of 100% natural recycled organic cork. My wife uses it around the house constantly, not yet for yoga mind you, but for other activities as well. She couldn't reach one of the pots in the kitchen and sure enough the Cork Yoga Block came to the rescue. It couldn't handle the weight of her stepping on it and her handle her yoga usage. Wow what an item 10/10 would buy again from these people.

The yoga studio that I attend has all manduka cork blocks and I've fallen in love with using them during practice. They're sturdy, well build and provide all the support needed when I settle my body weight on them. So happy to have a pair at home to practice with, highly recommend!

These cork blocks are perfect! Stable, solid, and I know they will last a long time! The blocks did not have any chemical smell to them (I previously bought blocks elsewhere that did- yuck). Glad I found the Manduka cork blocks!

I've had these blocks for about a month now and I'm so pleased with them! They are durable and have a great weight to them so they don't slide or fall over. Excellent for any prop lover!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
These are very sturdy yoga blocks. They’re heavier than the foam blocks, but that helps make them feel more stable during certain poses. I don’t feel like I’m going to slip off these blocks like I do with the foam ones.

I like cork blocks because they are so much sturdier than a foam block. It might be a little heavier but it is definitely worth it.

I bought these blocks for my yoga studio. The dimensions are perfect and they offer exceptional support and stability. Also, they're very well made and the cork is super dense. They'll last a long time.

I love my cork blocks. They are heavy and solid and feel great in my hands. I even use them as mini weights when I do standing stretches. Excellent.

Great quality. Large overall. A little pricy but worth it. All of my Manduka gear is top notch.

I simply love them. Main reason is that their are quite a bit bigger which makes them very steady. Also for my broader shoulder that is very helpful when doing pincha for instance.

Not sure if it is the best cork block on the market, but it is the best TYPE of block in my opinion.
Foam is not biodegradable, and it is not nontoxic.
Cork is relatively comfortable. Or at least this block is lol I've only used Manduka's cork block.
I have a lightweight wood block also, but it can be unforgiving, cork is more versatile.
As for this cork block specifically:
It has not shed much at all, as natural cork is opt to do a bit of. Like I'd say twice in the year or so I've owned it.
It is a bit heavy, and is larger than my sister's cheaper cork block, but I imagine this to be of better quality. Hers was shedding when she brought it home, too.
It is certified sustainable, which is awesome.
I also like that instead of a brand name they include a cute frog symbol.
I often forget to use my props, which is a bummer because this is a really great product.
For an at-home block, this is great, but travelers may want a more lightweight/smaller block of either cork or lightweight wood, or to just do without props and use a book (always worries me a little unless the book is sturdy lol).
I would recommend this, but I also highly recommend getting 2 of these.
When a yoga teacher (online / in person/book /on DVD) says to use 2 (because I rarely think of ways to use them on my own, but maybe you are better about that lol) having 2 of different sizes and materials can get awkward and potentially even put you off balance / give you incorrect alignment in your upper body etc..
For the "what type of yoga do you practice?" I practice all types of yoga (yin, meditation, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, etc.) except hot yoga, that just sounds like the worst experience to me.
