I've used my mat 4 times. Good quality, nice grip, love the color. Nice padding for my knees. Heavy. A little sticky but I think I just need to wear it in.

I'm happy with this Matt although I have another pro light and the grip was better on the one? Not sure if that's to do with colour?

I treated myself to a new Manduka prolite Mat and I do love it although I miss the extra room I had in my extra long and wide mat , I'll adjust in time . So my older one will be my practice mat for home as it's just too heavy to lug around all the time when going to class . I do enjoy carrying this prolite mat to class as it is so much lighter and fits in my manduka bag with ease . Love the purple color , can't wait until
It's broken in as it's still a little
Slick but I just use my manduka face towel on it for my hands and I don't slip . All in all I love these mats !!!!

Still sticky but like it. Did not do the salt thang! My old manduka pro lite mat was mistakenly left on a bus so I'm breaking this one in

I've only used it about a dozen times now and the first few sessions I was definitely slipping in down dog. I *did* do the sea salt treatment before the first use as recommended but it was still slipping quite a bit. Now that I am into the double digits in use it does seem to be getting a little "stickier." I haven't washed it again yet - kind of worried it will go back to slipping without my sweat on it! Ha!
Overall it's a great mat and the bag I bought to travel with is super.

I bought this because carrying my Pro mat with a mat towel is heavy. However, it's thinner and puts more pressure on hands when in Downward Dog and arm balances. I prefer the sealed non-absorbing aspect of the mat but wish it provided a bit more cushioning. Because of the cushioning I still use my Pro.

I've been using a lightweight mat, and I bought the PRO and PROlite mats on sale. They are thicker and longer and sturdier than the old cheap mat, but they are also heavy, and I go to classes almost every day. The old mat was probably 2lb, the prolite is 4.5lb, the pro is 7lb. I use the prolite most days but I'm thinking do I want to carry that much weight every day. The prolite is stickier than my old mat, but when I sweat some it does slip some.

Lightweight for carrying to studio. Cushions well for practice. Gets slippery in heated vinyasa flow though.

My husband and I each got the same mat and agree that it's a great size and lives up to our expectations. We practice 6 days a week and have had the mat for about a month and it has remained a bit slippery. We are hoping the more we practice, the less slippery it will get, which has seemed to be the case so far.

This mat is good, but perhaps not the best for hot yoga. The size and thickness are fine and I did not notice any unusual odor. However, the surface gets pretty slippery when you sweat a lot.

I have used the mat a few times so far, originally purchased because my first one was too slippery (hot yoga). I think with each use, it gets better, and with the free little yoga towel, its much better. I have high hopes for this mat, and my practice!

I am rekindling my love for yoga and have started practing again. I was using a mat that was given to me by a friend which I liked due to all the cushion it provided. However, that plush mat led to a few injuries. I wanted a mat that would be thick enough to where it was gentle on my knees but firm enough to feel like I have a solid foundation. If you have clammy hands and feet, I do recommend getting the mat towel as it suggested. I was being cheap at first but when I saw my hands and feet sliding, distrayme from my practice, I knew I needed something more. I'm really hoping this is the last mat I'll ever need.

I have bought this mat to carry it around to classes. I already have the MandukaPro mat so I was expecting this one to be much lighter but it isn't. Otherwise it is a great mat with an excellent grip. I would highly recommend it!

I bought this after I had purchased the Go Light mat bag and the Eko mat (regular version). The Eko mat was too big and heavy to fit in the bag, so I decided to get a lighter mat to fit in the bag. I am a yoga teacher and figured it would work better for me to keep the Eko mat at home and take the PROlite to my classes I teach. I like the color of my PROlite, but after using the Eko, couldn't help feeling a tad disappointed with this one, simply because a lighter mat means it's also narrower, thinner, and can't compare to the full size mats. However, the PROlite is definitely still a high quality mat (it's Manduka, after all!) and does its job. It is easier to carry, fits in the GoLight bag, and is a great option for travel. Because it is thinner, the ends don't quite stay flat when you lay it out, like my Eko mat does. That's a bit of a bummer, but I guess it's to be expected. Regardless, I am happy I made this purchase!

I bought this mat a month ago, wanting to start doing yoga at home as well, and since my yoga instructors and most of the reviews were praising the manduka features, i didn't even look at other brands! Although the quality is very good and the mat is very thick and steady, giving this feeling of strong grip, it is really hard to break in and it is so slippery that it makes my practice difficult. Everyone says that it takes a while though, but i guess we'll see. In any case, i think it was an investment for my practices!

This mat is my first Manduka purchase, and I wasn't disappointed. I love how much cushion and support I get from it. It's also lightweight and easy to travel with if you go from studio to studio. I lessed a star because it is very slippery when used without a towel. I am aware that there is a break in period involved, but I wish that it came without the need to break it in.

I have bought multiple of the prelate mats over the years. I am a yoga instructor and recommend it as well to my students. I would give the mat 5 stars except for the slippery coating that is on the new mat and takes some time to wear away. using salt is a terrible idea and so i am patient. once it wears away, the mat is awesome. i beg you to try something else! everyone complains about it!

I really love the quality of the mat. You can feel how durable it is as you practice. I've had my mat for about 3 weeks now and it is still suuuper slippery. It's fine until I start getting sweaty then it is hard for me to even do a downward dog because my hands and feet are slipping apart. I hear that it just needs a while to break in, so my hopes are still pretty high for this mat. Other than that, no complaints at all!

Hello - I really wanted to love this mat right out of the box. The color is sexy and it's nice and thick but it's greasy to use. I tried doing the salt for 24 hours and it's still slippery. Using it everyday in hopes it gets better.
