I love this, I was told it was heavy for a yoga mat but I found it just right! I am 5'10 and was struggling with my previous yoga mat to fit my entire body on the mat but with this, it feels just right. I'm trying to break in my yoga mat without the salt rub as I do short rounds of Surya Namaskar and restorative practises so this is perfect!

After many recommendations from fellow yoga friends I have finally splurged on a Manduka Mat; and boy is it worth it! Once you work this mat in, it's honestly your best friend. I have never been this comfortable doing yoga! It does pack a little bit of weight (even though it's the light version lol) but every ounce of weight is worth it because the amount of bone and joint protection this mat offers is immaculate. Don't be like me! Don't sleep on getting a Manduka!

Offers all the stability and support of the Pro with a weight that is easier to transport as a teacher on the go. LOVE this mat!! Its perfect in every way.

This is the worst yoga mat I ever had. I am literally slipping of the mat as I am in downward dog position. I had a few yoga mats in my life that cost a percentage of this mat and they had better grip. And my hands are not on the sweaty side. The support just wrote the following "we would say the grip of the mat is low-medium which allows for a nice flow between poses if you are doing Vinyasa for example. This mat allows for the yogi to work more with the core as well as the hand/finger pressure to maintain the posture, instead of relying solely on a grippy surface." okay, the core is the problem, sure. I could return the mat, but would not get a 100% refund, because there is no original packaging anymore. I would not recommend this mat or brand.

I love the color and cushion of this mat, but as many folks have reported, this mat is a bit more slick than I'm used to. I have salted the mat as instructed, and I'm hoping that with more use some of the slick surface will wear off. I find my hands slipping a bit in downward dog, but most other poses aren't affected by the slick surface of the mat.

Manduka is still the best on the market for yoga mats. The mat is predictably perfect. It's slightly slippery at first, but after a week of practicing on the mat the slipperiness is gone.

Do not buy this mat if you want any type of grip in your practice. Not only was downward dog a no go, but I couldnt even stand in place for warrior 2 or keep the edge of my foot in place in pigeon. Disappointed as having awesome grip is advertised on the label and the material appears that it might have grip. Unfortunately 150 down the drain as I have to go buy a something I can use.

Beautiful Mat, I know the grip have to break in but for now i'm delighted! I love the color and the thickness.

I purchased the ProLite Purple Lotus, the color is just beautiful. The mat is of good quality and not too heavy. I have a problem with the mat because it is very slippery and my feet sweat on it for some reason. I have never experienced this issue before.

Love the grip, the colour and it's light to carry around

Easy to carry, no slipping while I practiced, and comfortable while on my knees. Overall a great attractive mat.

While I have only had my mat for a week, I do use it every day and it continues to improve with keeping my grip on it while in asanas. It is a beautiful color, midnight blue, just the the crayon on the big box of 64 when I was a kid. I do wish it had more cushion, but now I know I should get the mat that has 6mm cushion instead.

So far I really like this yoga mat for my practic. I waited a long to before I could get it. A couple of small disappointments were a crease on the back of the mat in which I called Manduka. The person explained it would eventually flatten out with use. The other is a slight gray area on the top of the mat that only shows up in certain light. I am not sure what that is and hope it goes away after some more cleaning. For the price, I feel the mat should be without a crease and that odd light gray area.

I love my new yoga mat so much!

I hesitated a lot between the 4.7mm and 6mm mat. I was afraid that the 4.7mm was going to be too thin, the 6mm sounded great but also too heavy... I finally went for the 4.7mm and it was a wonderful decision, it has the perfect thickness. Not thin at all, thick enough for a great practice. Haven't felt any pain on my joints. Weight: it's fine to carry around, cannot imagine myself carrying something heavier than this.
