Very good in many ways, but still slippery for someone like me. I admit I sweat a lot, but I really qas expecting it would be better

Great mat, sticky, doesnt slide around, I feel like I can stretch further

I recently purchased the Manduka Prolite yoga mat with the expectation of exceptional quality and grip, as advertised. Unfortunately, my first experience was less than stellar. I found the mat to be unexpectedly slippery, to the point where maintaining poses became a challenge, especially for hands and feet which tended to slide. I followed the recommendations of washing the mat and applying salt to expedite the break-in process, which is not an immediate fix and requires time and effort that I did not anticipate. While I am hopeful that the grip will improve with use, I am disappointed that the mat was not ready for optimal use straight out of the box. For those considering this mat, be prepared for a significant break-in period before achieving the advertised grip.

Well built, will not slide, it has a very good grip!

I love the cheerful color - it brightens my day - especially uplifting as we approach the winter solstice. And the mat was ready to go (for me) from day 1 - it was grippy and comfortable enough without breaking it in with sea salt. Highly recommended!

A little heavier than expected but I can tell this will last the lifetime it says it will. I cant wait to start practicing with it! I also love the color.

This is my second Manduka mat. My first one is the travel mat which is perfect. Im so didaaponted that this mat isnt sticky. I cant do downward dog on it without my fingers sliding. So Ive had to revert back to my old mat to do poses that require a true sticky mat. :(

I love the prolites! They are the perfect balance between cushion and firmness.

It's a Christmas gift for my sister. I have the Pro and love it, I'm sure my sister will love hers too.

My first manduka mat. It IS slippery when you have wet hands, well, Ill have to wait and see with time how it goes. The smell was not strong, quite acceptable. I tested it, feels great comparing to my old Chazal mat. Glad I had it during Black Friday !

I was so excited about this mat, and im saddened to say I really dont like it. I did so much research and thought this would be it; but it is slippery even after salting it and using it multiple times. Its hard and has little to no cushioning. Its extremely heavy and awkward to manoeuvre.

I have been practicing yoga since 2006, and finally invested in a high quality mat. Why did I wait this long? it's thick enough for me. Great quality mat. The hard part was choosing the color!

I was so excited to get this after my ALO mat wore out. This one is SO slippery. I am very disappointed. I liked the longer length but I actually turned it upside down to see if that would help my feet from slipping but it didn't. Wish I didn't get it and stuck with the ALO

So here I am only writing about the color of the mat, not quality itself: photos online vs color in real life are quite different. I ordered myself a ProLite mat in shade Galilee that was supposed to be rather bright, kinda turquoise, vibrant one. When the mat arrived I was really surprised that the actual color is muted, much darker and greenish more than blue. Comparing it to other available colors Galilee in reality looks very similar to what Aqua and Aquqmarine shades look lik on photos. Just be aware of that when placing your order

It's taken a few classes to break in, but great mat with great grip. Rich color is a bit darker than the photos.

Great and easy experience

Very slippery and I do not usually sweat in class. I used it once and went back to my old mat. Trying to let it sit with some sea salt on it now per the instructions, but I am not optimistic. I like the lighter weight, compared to my old mat, but it is too slick to practice on right out of the box.

When you receive it, it'a slippery mat. Very slippery. But i wash it with dishwasher and vinegar 3,4 time, and after it begin to do te job realy well.
