Love these boots! I bought these along with a pair of Patagonia boots and a pair of Keens, and these were by far more comfortable. I've done a few hikes already and they required no breaking. In the past I've stayed away from ankle high boots because my ankle felt too restricted, but these are flexible enough to not be restricting but still supportive. Plus, these are very stylish, so I wear them around town when I'm not hiking as well...so comfy don't want to take them off.

Bought this boot for a trip to Mt Rainier. Love it. Boot is very comfortable and had no break in period. The minute I saw the red color, I knew I had to have this boot. I have another pair of Ahnu shoes which are also very comfortable so did not hesitate to give the boot a try. I bought a size larger as I wanted to be able to wear with heavier socks and also to wear with my orthotics.

The shoes had 0 break-in time, and the room at the top of the toes were perfect. I've even received compliments on how cute they look! A great boot. I'm usually a 9.5, but I bought a 10, and they fit like a dream.

These boots are awesome, have only logged about 18 miles but they fit like a glove, light weight and flexible...I can feel the terrain and the soles grip nicely so I don't slide! True to size with nice toe space. Buying a second pair as you cant replace a good fit! May add additional arch support as mine are very high. Otherwise love the boot.

Very sturdy shoe. I haven't been in the snow with them yet but I'm sure I will be very sure footed in them. Lots of ankle and foot support.

These hiking boots are the best ones that I have ever purchased. You can truly wear them out of the box and go on a hike! These may be a little narrow for some people, but they were perfect for me. The other good thing about these boot is how lightweight they are!

These are awesome! Feel like slippers with great support. I have neck & back issues that require lightweight shoes with true fit. I'm a constant 8 & these have plenty of room for thick socks! No break in needed, feel light as feather. Can't wait to walk some trails in these.

These boots were comfy right out of the box...like slippers with Vibram soles! Taking a cue from other reviewers I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear. They did not seem too big, especially wearing hiking socks. I suspect they might be best for day hikes, not a sustained multi-week event, because they are so cushy. I hiked in them for 8 days in a row, 2 hours per day, with absolutely no foot issues (no blisters, no rubbing, good arch support). Love them. I got the purple/blue color (Astral Aura! What the heck is that?). Very cute.

After reading the great reviews here, I bought these boots for my hiking trip in Banff. The weather was cold, the snow in some spots was deep and in others was starting to melt. My feet were comfortable and dry whether I was hiking up a mountain or wading though the snow. My only caveat is, the boots a a little snug on top when laced up completely, which is not so comfy. On my second day hiking, I only laced them up to my ankle.

Love these boots! Bought them as a light weight hiker for a trip Austria and Italy. Comfort from day one. True fit. And thanks for the fast delivery.

I was so Happy when I open the box with my new hiking boots. The color is great, something different and all the girls in my hiking group, made nice comments about the color and the design. they are very comfortable and light. I wore for first time in a 15 miles hiking, and i didnt have any problem. and the end of the weekend all the girls in my group want to get a pair.

I purchased these boots a few days before going on a three day, 20 mile hike in the White Mountains. All things considered the boots were fantastic. They offered great support; however, by the last day I did regret not breaking them in. Great buy!

I bought these boots when planning a hiking trip up Mt. Washington. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to break them in before the hike, but these boots were so comfortable right out of the box, you don't even have to break them in. They are so lightweight and not as bulky as many hiking boots. I love these boots!

I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks, and an 8 or 8.5 in American sizes, also have a wide forefoot (c width). I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I wore them up Katahdin without breaking them in and with no blisters. My only criticism is about the softness of the sole. Every rock is felt and on such a rocky trail the bottom of my feet were pretty sore by the end of the day. A stiffer-soled boot would have been a better choice for that trail.

I was looking for a waterproof shoe or boot that I could wear all year round for traveling & touring, hiking, & just around. these are perfect. They are comfortable, great support and good looking. Love them.

Reviews were spot on - I went a half size up from my usual size, then wore them right out of the box on a 7 mile hike and my feet couldn't have been happier. Will buy these again and plan on grabbing a pair in another color - perfect!

Bought these boots locally. Didn't really want purple and had passed them up. The salesman asked me to humor him and try them on. He was right. I took a long hike the next day, bringing a back up pair of boots but didnt need them. Terrific right out of the box. I am sold! Will need a half size larger than usual though. Buy 1/2 size up for hiking. The hubby loves Keens, but these are the ones for me!

Wow. I'm a search and rescue volunteer in the Colorado Rockies and need a quality hiking boot that can go multiple days and many miles if necessary and still be comfortable. I got these last fall and have worn them in a variety of conditions. They required no breaking in, I've had no blisters or hot spots, and they hold up well under the weight of me and my 35-lb rescue pack. Just a few days ago I hiked in them on a mission, then took them off in my truck for the ride home, then put them back on to stop for dinner on the way home. I've never before had a pair of boots that I could take off for 30 minutes and actually be comfortable putting back on. They keep my dry when in water/rain/snow and warm in colder weather, but cool in summer temps. Excellent boots. I highly recommend for women looking for a serious hiking boot that's also fun and available in a color other than brown.

This shoe is wonderful. I have bad feet and I can hike 5-10 mile. My feet are going to hurt regardless, but this shoe makes it bearable. The size is true, but for hiking with thicker socks I did order a half size larger and put a thin shoe insole inside. Zappos is wonderful to order from. I ordered three other pairs before I got these. One pair I wore (The North Face: Women's Hedgehog Tall III GTX XRC) and discovered they were not waterproof as the description said. That boot was very comfortable looked good and was a great boot other than my feet got wet walking in early morning grass with dew on it. Zappos took them back and let me order others with free shipping. Can't beat that and that's what I call good service, excellent!

I love these boots...lightweight, yet they provide great support...in the ankle and arch...and they are a great color for fun and style!

Have probably put 15 - 20 miles on these so far, 10 of those on an AT day hike a couple of weekends ago. They seem to run big, and I kept them anyway, since I bought them for cooler weather and will wear thicker socks, but on an extended (about a mile) steep paved downhill to my car, my toes got a little banged up sliding and hitting the end of the shoe. I had no problems on the hilly parts of the trail though. I was comfortable crossing over slippery rocks. These boots are amazingly lightweight, they may be lighter than my trail running shoes. They are both flexible and supportive. Very comfortable. So far, I am happy with them.

Most comfortable hiking boot I've found, ever. (tho my hiking might be considered moderate). I can walk in these all day (boulder fields, steep paths, mud, hot to 50 degrees or so, some frozen snow) and my feet feel great; dry, comfortable, ready for more. Excellent fit for me. My feet run a little wide through ball of foot and i have a high arch. No discomfort whatsoever. I did half size-up to accommodate hiking socks. Lightweight but very durable. Great ankle support without stiffness. i don't feel like i've carried an extra 5 pounds around on my feet all day. I hiked in these many many times and no real sign of wear yet, other than puppy chewing off the tab in back - so used that as an excuse to get a second pair in another color. The colors are ok, but the comfort is well worth it - so rated overall 5 stars.

These are the first pair of hiking boots I have ever purchased, and I couldn't be happier. I did notice that on occasion debris from the trail would get in, but it might have something to do with the way I was walking (towards the end of the hike) or the tightness of my laces.

I have nothing but good things to say about Zappos! I have ordered shoes, well usually boots from fashion to hiking, in the afternoon and received them the next day! Highly recommended. They are light and very comfortable. I did not need to break them in, they were perfect from the minute I put them on. I felt they made my footing very stable on some treacherous trails. The purple color is also really fun.
