These boots are beautiful. The embroidery is expertly done. The leather is flawless. I love that the tabs you hold to pull on your boot are on the inside. These boots have everything I like -- hard toe, just the right width/height heel, good shaft height -- but I can't afford them. I was drunk when I bought them. After trying them on and adoring them in the mirror, I am planning to send them back so I can afford my next month's condo fees.

Oh my. Loved them from the moment they hugged my feet. You'll wear them with more than you ever thought; just get them into your closet and you'll see. These boots are a great "investment" piece, worth every dime if you have it so spare. They seem to be a tiny bit on the roomy side. If you're feeling in-between, order on the larger side to make sure your toes have room to wiggle. I wear a heel insert for added support and squishiness. They required no break-in time. I've had them for several months and they are wearing in nicely. Lots of notice and compliments.

This is the most amazingly beautiful boot I've ever seen. Ever. Yet, unfortunately I have to return them. My calves just are not skinny enough. The shaft is very, very narrow. Other that that they fit well and seem to be very comfortable. If you have skinny calves they would definitely be worth every penny.

Just plain fabulous! These are the most expensive boots I've ever owned by far, but I think I will wear them forever! They were comfortable right out of the box...true to size, but a little hard for my foot to "make the turn" - just hold the loops and step in! Other than that, very comfortable from day one! I get compliments every time I wear them, even if they are mostly covered with jeans!

This is a beautiful boot, but I'm just not feeling the love in terms of comfort. The leather on the inside feels rough to me. I prefer a softer lining. I was also put off by the strong chemical smell when I opened the box. I take a size 8 boot in Frye, and this boot fit in size 8. My normal shoe size is 8 1/2.

Amazing boot! People compliment constantly. I wore them on a trip to Nashville and they were a big hit! Cute with jeans, shorts and dresses. Of course, the pattern on the boots is stand out enough so it is difficult to wear with anything other than a solid color. They fit like a glove and I danced the night away with no discomfort. I love this boot and highly recommend!

These are unbelievably comfortable! I wore them out of the box and normally I have a long breaking-in period with shoes and I did not have that at all with these boots. I normally wear an 8 but went down 1/2 a size based on other reviews and Zappos is wonderful about sending both sizes for your to try. The detail and workmanship on these boots is amazing and they are a work of art. I will have these for years and years to come. They are amazing! I am in love! The height of the boot is perfect...not too high to make them uncomfortable or seem dressy.

These are absolutely amazing boots! They are even more beautiful in person. I know some of the reviews said the calf was narrow. This is a 13" tall boot so it is taller than your standard 11" cowboy boot. If you cannot wear standard knee high boots because of your calf then you will not be able to wear these. But they are so awesome you have to at least try!

These boots are totally awesome! Fit is true to size and they have just the right amount of "attitude". Look great with jeans, shorts and skirts. You just can't go wrong with Old Gringo for comfort and quality.

I can't even tell you how much I love these boots! They are so pretty. I wear them as often as I can - for work and casual. They are super comfortable and I found the size to be spot on. They're only getting more comfortable every time they're worn. So glad that I bought them!

Just got my boots yesterday and absolutely love them! They are as comfortable out of the box as my 20 year old Justins. They fit true to size but do agree that they are narrow in the leg area. I know I will be buying more Old Gringo boots in the future!

Loved the boot! Great look and style as well as quality. However, if you have at all a larger calf, good luck trying to wear the boot. Made my leg look terrible and would have never been able to tuck my jeans into boot. Had to return with regret.

These boots were awesome in every way...if only my calves were 2" smaller. They were red, well-made, stylish to wear for any occasion, beautifully embroidered & comfortable! I've always had problems finding boots to fit my muscular 16" calves so, I guess my quest will continue.

I saw the warnings of other reviewers regarding this boot being narrow in the calf. I am 5'8" and 135 lbs. I have "sturdy" legs, but never considered my calves to be unduly large. Apparently, they are. The others reviewers with big calves are not large ladies; they're every day girls like me and you. Unless you want muffin toppage on your boots, pass on these if you have athletic calves of any degree. Better rule: If you can't wear skinny jeans, you can't wear these boots. That's my call. Also, order half size down. I almost always wear a 10, and a 9.5 was actually roomy with thick wool socks.

These are very comfortable boots and I love the flower detailing on them! I've dressed them up with dresses and, of course, they look great with jeans, too. My only complaint is that a small part on the top of the boot peeled off after just a few times wearing them. It's small and hard to see from afar, but happened on both boots. These are more than I've ever paid for boots, so I was hoping the quality would be better. Other than that, I love them and have received lots of compliments!

I fell in love with these boots and looked at them forever before I broke down and bought them. Adored them out of the box but no room to spare in them and I wear an 11. I went out on a limb and had the cobbler stretch them for me and am wearing them around the house to get them broken in . They are pretty narrow and hard to get on and off and it's a good thing I have skinny legs. I have some concerns about the comfort of them but I am going to keep them for sure. They are awesome in quality and craftsmanship.

My heart is broken in a million pieces. These boots are about as gorgeous as you can find. The embroidery is beautiful, the colors are perfect, but alas, the fit was just not befitting the finish. Others have noted the shaft is narrow, and I can see where that may be true. The shaft fit me just fine, as I have average calfs, not muscular, not skinny, just average, and unfortunately, my calfs are also on the short side. The boots will look great on ladies with longer legs (what does not) but on anyone with short legs, these will draw attention to them and make them look even shorter than they already are. The boots were difficult to get past "the bend" with my foot, and the left one was roomier than the right, with the right boot having a shorter space for the arch of the foot, so I would say the construction was not consistent. My feet are the same in that regard, so it was definitely the inconsistency in the fabrication. The interior of the boot could also be a bit softer, without the obvious seems that one can feel when you finally struggle your way into the foot area. All of that aside, these made me curse my mother for passing on her short legs. It was fun to caress these for the few hours I had them in my home, but regrettably, I am sending them back for some other long-legged beauty to enjoy. If that is you, do not hesitate to buy these amazing works of art!

Just received my first pair of Old Gringo boots last week - the Bonnie Choc/Brass. This boot is absolutely stunning! I read countless reviews raving about the beauty of this boot, and when I opened the box, they took my breath away. They are that gorgeous - vintage, soft, impeccably embroidered floral design, lovely contrasting chocolate and brass leather. I have narrow feet and slim legs, so I ordered a size 6 like my Frye boots. The OG's have a slim shaft, perfect for slim legs. But they also have a much narrower snip toe, which fits and feels quite different than the round and square toed Frye boots I wear. A lot of reviewers claim the boot fits perfectly right out the box; that wasn't quite my experience. The heel slip and snug instep fit were correct, but my long toes were begging for wiggle room. I worried that the 6 was too short in length and a 6.5 would fit better. So I tried a 6.5 in a similar style and after wearing several times, my feet were swimming in them. I also spoke to someone knowledgeable in the fit of cowboy boots and very familiar with OGs. He asked a lot of questions and advised that the 6 seemed correct in length, but he said wearing boots for an hour each night around the house is not the same as wearing them all day and really breaking them in. They will stretch in width but never in length. He also advised stuffing the toes with soft towels when not worn. So I bit the bullet and wore them all day at a conference. He was absolutely right. I could feel them stretching and they fit perfectly now! It turns out I didn't need more length, just more room at the widest part of my foot. I'm writing all this for those of you who have never worn OGs and/or snip-toed boots. Don't get discouraged - this boot is worth it!

These are the best boots. They are distinctive and comfortable and excellent quality. I am hard on my shoes and tend to wear them out quickly but after many months they are holding up beautifully and becoming better with wear. I bought them in my usual size and they fit like a glove. Kudos to Old Gringo for the excellent design and quality.

I loved these boots before I actually owned them just from looking at the photos. They are superb in every way! I wore my boots today for the first time and got multiple compliments before I even got into the building. After work I went to the grocery store and a male complete stranger approached me and told me how much he liked my boots. Not only are they beautiful but they are made perfectly and are so comfortable! No breaking in for my with these great boots! I purchased my normal size and they fit like a glove! I know that these boots will only get better with age!

These boots are just plain gorgeous. And they feel wonderful. Got them yesterday and wore them today. I had no problem getting them on my feet and legs. I normally am either a 9.5 or a 10 and I bought the 9.5. They fit perfectly. I have a relatively thinish calf and the circumference of the boot shaft is perfect. It is nice because the boot shaft doesn't flop and bang around my calf. After reading other reviews I was really stressed about the calf fitting, but it wasn't a problem.

These are beautiful boots, and very comfortable. But the toe is a little long for my taste. I have noticed that over the past few years, the quality of Old Gringo boots has fallen (sloppy stitching, peeling leather, zippers not correctly sewn in, etc.), so it is a good idea to carefully examine their boots. In this case, for this style, if you love it, the boots are worth the price. I usually wear a 9 in Old Gringo and the 9 in these fit perfectly.

I love these boots! I have my brown pair, I have my black pair and now I have my fun pair. I get so may compliments on these boots. I wear mostly soled color tops so these boots go with everything in my closet. They were totally worth the money. Side note: I have a small calf and wear a size 8 but the 7.5 fit me best. Enjoy!

This boot is so cute! I normally wear a size 9 and went to an 8.5. It is a little tight at first, but gets comfortable once you wear it a few times. I love this boot.
