I bought these to wear as slippers around the house. Perfect for that. We took a trip/river cruise to Russia and I decided to wear these to travel. Worn with Sox they were perfect running thru the airports, easy on and off thru security checks and on the plane. I highly recommend!!

I was hesitant to purchase these shoes as they looked sorta dorky in the picture. However, I was extremely pleased when I received them and put them on. They looked so much better on my feet and I liked how they hugged my feet. Even tho it doesn't have the soft foot bed like the Boston, it's surprisingly comfortable.

These are wonderful!! Living in Wisconsin things are starting to get a little chilly, so I wore these shopping yesterday, and they were comfortable right out of the box. I got my regular size and it was perfect. I can go barefoot or wear a sock with them. They are warm and cover your foot nicely. If you have very wide feet you might have a problem, but I love the slimmer less clunky look of the narrow, which I believe fits me like a regular B width.

I have had Plantar Fasciitis in my heel for the 3-4 months and birkenstocks are the only shoe that have helped me feel virtually painless when I wear them. I can't confirm if they help with the actual healing process, but I have a feeling that wearing a supportive shoe that helps with the pain surely must aid in healing. Full disclosure: I did get a cortisone shot about a month ago, but overall I feel like wearing these shoes (and birkenstock sandals) has had a huge positive effect on my PF. I also put them on the moment I get out of bed and wear them all the time at home. Personally I love the rigid footbed for PF. I usually wear a 7 in shoes/boots and got a 37 narrow and they're perfect, and there is still room for thick socks in the winter. I normally LOVE fashionable shoes but thanks to this condition I've had to accept comfort over style. I think this particular style can actually look pretty cute when styled right. They really make my PF feet feel good.

I bought these for my husband for my husband and he loves them! He would always slip his size 13s in to my wool clogs (eek) so I had to find him his own pair, and these feel just like his Birks, he's thrilled. The wool has been super durable, they don't look like slippers or anything. He wears them to work with chino pants, they look great!

I normally wear a size 40 in Birkenstock sandals (I own a few pair (the Gizeh and Mayari styles), so I thought I'd be "safe" and I have a narrow-to-medium width foot. I first ordered these in size 40 but there wasn't any type of "gap" between my heel and the edge of the shoe. I was concerned the shoe might be a little too small, so I chatted with a Zappos consultant and decided to go up a size (I normally wear a size 41 (or a 10) in Naots and other shoes. The size 41s are a bit looser but fit a bit closer to how the size 40s in the Birkenstocks fit so hopefully these will be a keeper. I tried with on with tights (and I'll probably pair these with tights and a corduroy skirt, jeans, etc.), and they seemed to work! By the way, gotta give a shoutout to Zappos for their awesome customer service! After a little initial confusion about the return/exchange policy, the agent kindly apologized and issued me a $20 credit towards the repurchase of the shoe! This was a nice surprise! Furthermore, I received the size 41 pair overnight (I literally chatted with the agent in the evening on Thursday and by 2 pm, the shoes were on my doorstep!). This is a company who knows how to take care of its customers! I own my own business so I know how important keeping customers happy is and I try to go out of my way to ensure my clients are happy. You made me very happy today!

I bought these as a gift for my husband who lives in his Birkenstocks, but was jealous of my easy-on Stegmann clogs. These were the perfect solution, he loves the fit and comfort.

My boyfriend really likes my Bavarian wool clogs, but since he loves Birkenstocks, this was a great way to get him a slip on in a brand that was sure to fit him. These were his favorite gift this year! He calls them his "winter Birks." I was not sure about the edge of the wool though, the shape looks a little "grandpa" to me. But he loves them and couldn't be happier to wear them to his office every day, with or without socks. I felt comfortable buying them on Zappos because I knew we could easily exchange them for something else, thanks Zappos!

I really like these shoes. I am using them for indoors. They are keeping my feet both toasty and gently supported. I just bought a pair for a gift since I liked them so much. They took no time to break in.

These were EXACTLY what I wanted for walking around the house. Warm and comfortable with all the support of the Birkenstock footbed. They provide much support to my knee and achy hip. I was hoping to try on the regular width since my toes hit very close to the sides, but narrow was all that was available. The next size up were just too long. The grey felt looks very nice and being the narrow, they do not look too clunky. I hope they hold up well.

I love these shoes! They were so comfortable right out of the box. I can wear them all day, too. I'm very happy with them.

I love these shoes. Perfect as a supportive yet warm and very comfortable slipper. I ordered the narrow as I have a slim foot. There was still ample room for wearing a wool sock. They'd make a perfect Xmas gift.

I bought these shoes last fall when I was recovering from foot surgery, hoping they would be more flexible and softer than the leather version. I haven't taken them off since. Good for trouble feet and to avoid having trouble, I think. Heartily endorsed!

Perfection! It's the first thing I put on when entering my home after a long day at work. I originally purchased them as a slipper after foot surgery but now they are a favorite and much more than a slipper!

I love and can not take off! so comfortable and perfect for everyday! Slightly running large...about 1/2 a size.

These are very well made, the felt is a smooth, tight weave. I bought these for my mother who loves the arch support, and stability that Birkenstock has to offer (feet of any age). But it is especially important to an active senior. This style goes with anything and looks so classic!

My 26 year old daughter asked for these Birks for Christmas; she loves them. And, as always, Zappos provided excellent service: great price, speeding shipping, perfect product.

I've been having foot issues for awhile (bunionette, sore arches). I bought some Birkenstock sandals for summer, and my feet were so happy I knew I needed a winter style as well. First I tried the Boston clog, and although they were comfortable they looked very bulky (duck feet!). I decided to try this Amsterdam style instead and love them! The arch is a little flatter than the Boston style, but the footbed is softer so they seem more comfortable right out of the box. They are also very slim looking and not bulky at all. I'm very happy and know my feet will thank me!

Got these a few days ago and haven't taken them off since. Definitely worth the splurge. My first pair of Birkenstocks, and I'm hooked! Warm and comfortable and true to size. I usually wear a women's size 7.5 or 8, and the 38 in regular width fit perfectly! I had been on the hunt for the perfect fall shoe that would go with just about anything in my wardrobe (something cute and comfortable that I could wear with socks! Why is this so hard to find?), and these are it. Always great service from Zappos, too! Would most definitely recommend these.

I have been dealing with heel pain and had been using Dansko shoes. I had to get another Birkenstock because my current clogs were not cutting it for me. This was a wonderful pair. Understand that they are not the most fashionable pair but for me I go for comfort more than fashion.
