For Birkenstocks, a size 39 works for me; normally, I wear a 9 1/2 US. Since beginning to wear Birkenstocks, I very rarely have heel pain, and my feet cannot pronate inward anymore. I'm extremely please with all the Birkenstock sandals I've purchased from Zappos; their customer service is the best!

I am always looking for shoes that can be worn with skirts and summer fair.I have very large wide feet and can rarely find woman's shoes. Birkies have saved me many times. You can wear them in many venues. These stay on your feet well, are comfortable all day and can be dressed up or down. Need I say more?

My old Arizona Birks were pretty much worn out after years of constant use, so I looked on-line for another pair. My search brought up Zappos and I was thrilled to see that they were running a substantial sale on the very Birks I wanted. I ordered a pair with free shipping. I bought these for my husband, and wish I had done so years ago. He is from Hawaii and always wears what I call "flip-flops" (rubber or ? beach type slip on sandals). His foot doctor told him he needed more support for his feet than those filp-flops, so I thought these would be perfect for around the house. Turns out he loves his as much as I love mine. Birkenstock shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, and they conform to you foot after you wear them for a little while. My 1st pair of Birkenstock. They run a size larger than what you normally wear so order down one size. I love them!

This style of Birkenstock may not be the most feminine; however, they are the most comfortable. The suede is very soft on the top of your feet. The placement of the straps help them stay on without the need for a back strap. The pair I received squeak a bit when I walk but it's not the shoe, it's the suede. I think that after wearing them for a month or so, it will rub enough so the noise will stop. I had a pair of Arizonas back in the late 80's and don't remember them making any noise. I wear 7 1/2 to 8 and the size 37 is perfect without my toes or heel rubbing the edges. Of course, Zappos is great so go ahead and order a pair. If they don't work for you, return at no cost. What a great company!

I bought these for my husband and a pair in green leather for myself as well. Birkenstock shoes have been around for years so, the name is familiar to many. I love to go barefoot around the house but can no long do so because of a painful arch problem. I need the good arch support of these shoes. Wear without socks in the Summer and with socks during the winter. Zappos usual good service and shipping got them to me overnight. Great shoes, great price, terrific service. My wife lost her Birk's to the new puppy chewing them up, so we've been looking for replacement ones.
