Great fit and it is very light but holds up great to the winds in Texas. I use mine because I had sun cancer on my nose and this was my choice.

Great hat, too small for me so had to return.

Use this for personal and professional settings. Does a great job of keeping the sun off my neck. Great at keeping the occasional rain shower off my glasses.

If you take your gear seriously, this hat is worth every penny. Definitely built specifically for the sun... it is light, breathes well, has a full coverage brim that covers your neck thoroughly. Not as good as the venerable Seattle Sombrero (of which I have 3) in a rainstorm, but not too far from the mark. In the Sedona rock in the heat of summer, this thing was indispensable! It also bears mention, MULTICAM. Really great looking and catches compliments galore. Bought mine and the wife HAD to have one. Nicely done OR!

Great hat for beach, pool, and just walking around after a day in the sun. I saw other reviews that the brim is too big, it's not! (If you want a smaller brim.... that's a different hat!)

Excellent hat for sun protection and does not blow off under windy conditions.

I got mine all second hand and i love them. They are perfect for on a wheelchair the strap is wind proof from losing my hat by the wind of passing vehicles. I've not had a sunburn for years.

Bought this hat to replace a 10+ year OR Sombriolet Sun Hat and I'm so happy with the quality of my new hat. I have worn competitive brands and found that their wide brims are too floppy. The Sombriolet Sun Hat brim holds it shape after many washings. Additionally, my head stays cool when the the sun is bright and the temperature is 100+ degrees F.

I wear the Sombriolet hats everyday, and everywhere; I have several, in different colors. Strangers frequently comment about them, and ask where I bought it. I am not from this area, and went unnoticed, for several years, but that instantly changed, when I started wearing these hats. Everyone seems to know me, due to my hat; it's become my trademark. The sun, and heat, are horrendous in Northeast Texas, but these hats make it bearable. They are ultralight, comfortable, and wide-brimmed. They aren't waterproof, but they sure help, when running to the car, in the rain. They clean up easily, with Spray and Wash. The chinstrap is easily removable, and, there is noreal need for it, because there is an adjustable cinch strap on the back, to tighten the fit around your head.

I love the wide brim and how light it is. Cool how the chin strap is removable! It isn't waterproof but that can be easily remedied.

Those that are fair-skinned are always looking for a good wide-brimmed sunhat that holds its shape.This hat does exactly what you need.

I do not have a large head but bought large because my sister already owned hat in large. Glad I got large so hat probably runs small.

The fabric is thicker than I expected, but it still breathes well and keeps the heat off my head. It's perfect for fieldwork and would be good for boating as well. It's much less dorky than most sun hats I've seen.

I wore this hat everywhere while living in the Caribbean for two years. It was a great hat for the job! My brother was even able to recover it from the sea for me once when I fell off of a paddle board. The hat is still in good shape; but color has faded somewhat over the years. The one drawback is that this hat does not seem to fold well. After packing it in a bag it would take a while to regain its proper shape. The Sombriolet Sun Hat is an excellent choice for protection from the sun, looking stylish and comfortable wear. It is the best hat in its category that I have owned. A must to have.

I love the hat. Ordered two online via the size guide and the fit was perfect. The Sombriolet Sun Hat keeps my dark hair covered and doesn't feel hot. I love the strap and how it keeps my hat with me, especially when it's windy! I also like using the strap as a crossbody option to hold my hat when I'm not wearing it on my head. Had a few questions for Customer Service at the beginning and Ryan was super friendly and helpful...great first face to the company!

I'm out trail walking nearly every day. This sun hat provides great sun protection while being very light, comfortable and adjustable.

I burn very easily and searched a GGOD hat to protect me, with large protection around, and neck protectioj too. Found some in store near me but nothing was large enough. This one is what i was looking for!

bought this hat for a river rafting trip in july. it was the absolute best! stayed in great shape even when hit with water in the rapids. so glad i got it!

This is not the hat you want, it's the hat you need. Skin cancer and sun damage are real. This hat breathes well and has a good wide brim. 4.5 stars I still prefer my boonie hat for short sun jaunts, but for anything else, from now on I'm taking this bad boy with me. The brim is a little larger than i would like, but hey, I'm 50 years old and choose sensibility over vanity. You will look like an Aussie tourist, practice your accent.

Good, functional hats are hard to come by especially if one wants them to look semi-decent while serving its intended purpose well. This hat has a sufficiently wide brim, so that it shades the front of my face as well as the sides and my neck in most situations. I found this hat to be relatively weather resistant, although I have not yet tested it in full rain. The strap is easily adjustable and helps keep the hat on your head in at least mild to moderate wind.

Excellent protection from the sun and little rain. The only downside is simply that it is hard to store it in your backpack when not in use!
