This is a great sun hat. The back brim is slightly longer than the front which provides ample neck coverage - a feature I've always had trouble finding in other sun hats which tend to have uniform breams in the 3 inch or less range. It's comfortable to wear and has reasonable venting. I've worn it for several weeks now on hikes in the NM desert, folding it on occasion for storage in a day pack. So far it's held up with no signs of permanent bends. It's definitely worth having if you're trying to keep the sun off, and if you want to wear something that isn't absurd.

Excellent hat! I love everything about it! I have a large head so finding a hat that fits is a huge achievement. Lol. I like the fact it's adjustable too so that when I'm hiking and the wind picks up I can just reach back there and give a little tug to snug it up so it doesn't blow off. I like the light weight, plus it's packable and I can be pretty hard on it and it still looks good! I like the air vents too.

This is a wonderful hat with a purpose! Stylish UV protection that is comfortable to wear. My "go to" hat for fun and work outdoors.

Got this shade hat after being tired of the brim on my prior hat brand always flapping in breezy weather and basically being useless on windy days. This brim is very wide and stiff enough to withstand light to moderate winds without loosing shape. Elastic cinch strap around crown of hat helps keep it place. Loads of shade with plenty covering back of neck. Breathability is great with air slits in top on sides, front, and back. Inside is mesh with loose nylon exterior covering over mesh interior. Sweat band on interior is a little loose, but it's not a big deal. Very good for outdoors use. I've hiked with it several times now.

it's perfect, light and comfortable

I purchased this hat for a 30 mile backpack trip in Zion's National Park. The weather was in the 90's and the Sumbriolet sun hat turned out to be a great hat that kept my face and neck from getting sun burned. It was very comfortable and I noticed I didn't sweat very much with the hat on.

Great hat. I bought it to replace one that fell victim to high winds boating (yes, I should have had the neck strap on). Well made and while the vents are small, it is a cool hat in the sun.

I love this hat. I just returned from Hawaii where I stuffed this hat in my suitcase and purse, and wore it everywhere! It's like having a small, lightweight, breathable umbrella over me. Not so adorable, but it's great protection and coolness in the heat and sun! I wear it at home for my daily walk.

Very good outdoor sun hat providing excellent protection of top of head, ears, face and back of neck from the sun...very light material. Even with vents hat blows off pretty easily - just have to tug chin strap a wee bit tighter! For those of us concerned about sun exposure on the head, ears, face and neck area, this hat does the job!

Good solar protection until washed and air dried when brim lost its shape and went wacky. Tried to iron it flat and rehash but won't work. Suggest different brim material.

Used it for a week of hiking in various mountains of Colorado. My conclusion: effective sun hat that is well-ventilated and provides ample coverage.

Love the hat, I usually wear medium, but it was just too tight. Exchanged for a large instead. It was perfect. It's light and covers me well from the sun.

Love this hat. Makes me look like a sexier Indiana Jones. Keeps the sun off of me and the chin strap keeps this beauty on when the wind blows hard.

My only complaint is that I wish it cooled better in the sun. I would like some kinda cooling cloth or better vents.

Love this hat. Very stylish. Stiff brim that doesn't flap but not inflexible. Wide brim covers my face and neck.

Overall this is a great hat. It's the best lightweight, packable hat I've found that offers excellent sun protection. One suggestion for improvement: Increase the front (and maybe the side) diameter of the brim to match the extra long back. This would increase sun protection and, to my subjective eyes, make for an even more attractive hat.

Simply the best desert hat I’ve ever worn.I’ve had one of these since 2009 and have had several, maybe 4. They give great sun protection, wicks sweat. Stays put in the wind with a nice tensioner on the back of the hat. With just the right tension and fit, this hat has the sweetest curve and bend. It looks as good as it functions. It’s my go-to in the summer. As necessary as great sunglasses. OR, please never change this hat. It’s simply perfection. Thank you, I most loyal OR fan

Great hat for sun protection! Light weight and breathable.

Fit my big head perfectly and has great coverage from the sun. Also has good air venting which is important in Phoenix, AZ. Finally, I think it is quite stylish and has an Aussie feel to the look.

Love this hat and its happy color! The fabric feels durable and the fit is excellent.
