Great shoe. Fairly comfortable. Not very stylish.

Wide shoes is one the best things to happen to me. In high school I was a basketball player and I always felt slow and had terrible shin splints. I also had really bad tendonitis in my feet. When I was 21 I was in the military and the store on the military base sold wide shoes. I figured I'd give it go since my shoes always felt like they never fit and my feet measured average width. So I tried the wide shoes and I could run forever. I was a lot quicker and had no pain when I played basketball. If I had a time machine the only thing I'd do is tell my younger self to wear the Nike Air Monarchs as a kid with a 4E width. I really missed out. And the squeaking noise everyone is commenting about, I experienced that too. If you never loosen or tighten the shoes they start to squeak. If you keep your shoes tied all the time at the factory setting they squeak, simple as that.

First shoes I've found that fit since New Balance screwed up the 608's. Really comfortable and can walk miles in them. Thanks.

I have arthritis in both my feet...along with my orthotics and these extra wide shoes, much of the pain is gone.

Love 'em! Just unpacked from the UPS delivery (just 1 day!) and the sneaks feel fantastic! Very comfortable, and they look better than the pics on-line. Highly recommended.

Really comfortable shoes. I have tried New Balance of similar size, and these feel more comfortable. Especially the cushioning of the shoe. I use these for work, and I always order these shoes. All the past ones I have ordered use to squeak. These do not for some reason. Maybe Nike fixed the squeak!. I'm crossing my fingers!.

A few reviews stated that these shoes are noisy. Easy fix - remove the insole, shake some foot powder or baby powder in the shoe, replace the insole. You will hear immediate results but you may have to repeat if you were skimpy on the powder. That said, this is my second order from Zappos and they have a customer for life. Perfect fit and comfort right out of the box. I take an 8½EEEE and have a very high arch. My size is darn near impossible to find in a store - let alone on sale. I have scored twice on this site.

Very comfortable and cushy. Much better than several other shoes I tried in the upper range. I normally wear a 12 1/2 and needed a 13 in these. I don't have wide feet, but had to get the 4E because the normal width are far too narrow for any normal-width foot. I've tried a zillion shoes trying to get something that's very cushy for standing a lot, and at this price, I have not found anything close to this shoe.

I am a letter carrier and have been using this same shoe for several years. I walk almost 13 miles a day on my route so I can am most qualified to attest to the fact that these shoes are superior in quality and comfort.

I've been buying Air Monarchs for over 10 years now and they are the most comfortable athletic shoe I've ever worn and would be my first choice for lots of walking, jogging, crosstrainer style workouts, and general wear. My feet get sore pretty quickly and while these shoes don't miraculously make them all better no others I've worn have been as comfortable over longer time periods -- A+. Currently have an all white pair but have wanted this color scheme but couldn't find it in the wide width till now. Can usually find these shoes on sale at local stores but when I saw Zappos had the wide width just went ahead and bought.

I really wanted to ditch these shoes on account of the noise but I have been too sold on the comfort. So I messed around with them and found that once they start squeaking, you can pull the insoles out and apply some mineral oil to the bottom of them before sticking them back into the shoe. This generally takes care of the noise. They may start up again after getting very wet - just reapply the mineral oil.

The Air Monarch IV series from Nike are the best athletic style shoes I have ever worn. After years of working standing on my feet, they (my feet) can hurt when standing in other shoes, but not when wearing these babies! Hopefully, they will never change them or discontinue the style, else I might cry. They are so comfortable, I have one of each color, and will order extras just in case. Not to sure about the arch support, if you need that, as I have very low arches, but they feel great by my standards.

I walk daily and wear orthotics. I wore New Balance and Brooks for years. This time I decided to switch to a cross trainer and decided to give these Nike's a try. Love the look and am nuts about the way they cushion and feel on my feet. I will buy them over and over again.

These are very comfortable shoes. I have foot and knee pain with other shoes. I tried these seven years ago and I have not been happy with anything else since. Some of my earlier ones had a squeak issue, but that seems to be resolved now.

I absolutely love these sneakers. They are amazingly comfortable and remarkably good looking in a somewhat retro way. Mine don't squeak. These are replacements: after a few years, the soles become hard as rock. If this happens, spring for a new pair.

I have used Nike Airs for several years. They were recommended by a podiatrist when I had plantar fasciitis. I have not had that problem since starting to wear these shoes, which are also amazingly durable.

These are a great pair of shoes for everyday use and walking for exercise! They are so much more comfortable than my old pairs of New Balance cross-training shoes. I switched to New Balance for a while, but am glad I chose these pair of Nike Air Monarch's. The full length air inside makes them so much more comfortable and easy to wear for longer periods of time.

These shoes are very comfortable. I had a pair previously, then ordered two more pair from Zappos. My only complaint is that the Nike "air" shoes begin making noises after they get some wear on them, usually within 90 days or so for me. I'm rough on shoes (and flat footed), so they may last longer for other people. Zappos delivered quickly. Good deal!

I work in retail and am on my feet for 8+ hours a day and by the end of the day I feel no pain or discomfort. They are awesome shoes the only issue I have with them is that they squeak way to much when I walk. Other then that its a great pair.

Spent many hours on the VB court jumping and starting/stopping with these. They are very comfortable, made no noise and would buy them again. The cushion in the foot bed is great. Never feel any impacts from jumping.

Every year my husband has Air Monarchs on his Christmas list as they are so amazingly comfortable. He always gets white and this year I found these with grey on Zappos. I have bought these shoes for years and never seen this color and bought them immediately. On my screen they look to also have yellow on them but it is actually a florescent green. They are great shoes that I highly recommend and Zappos was great to deal with! This was my first dealing and I will certainly buy from them again!

These are some of the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned! I'm a valet and am on my feet for 8-10 hours a day and with these shoes my feet don't hurt and in the winter time my feet stay warm. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

These shoes fit well and are very comfortable. I walk six miles a day and I have neuropathy in my feet. These shoes have made walking a much more comfortable experience.

This is at least the fifth pair of Nike Air Monarchs I have purchased over the years to use as cross trainers and every day shoes. They are a great value, provide nice cushioning and wear well. All shoes eventually develop a loud and obnoxious scrunching/squeaking sound. This can be fixed by removing the insole, spraying a generous amount of baby powder throughout, then replacing the insole. After walking around for 20 minutes, the noise will stop. If you don't mind performing this easy fix, I'd highly recommend trying a pair of these shoes.

I have hard to fit feet so rarely buy shoes online, but these were just a re-buy of a pair I wore out. I like these shoes despite all the reviews that say they squeak. My first pair took months before they squeaked and then it was hardly noticeable. So far so good with these. Only bummer is they are a bit tight. I guess there is some variability from pair to pair even if they are the same size, brand and style.
