I loved the look of them but when I tried them on they were tight and my toe hit the end. I've always been able to wear 8's in any shoe or style but I believe these run a 1/2 size small. When I sent them back I was disappointed to see they didn't have these in any color in an 8 1/2. So now I'm bummed.

I do a good deal of walking each day, and currently it's in the cold and snow. These shoes are sturdy, warm, and actually look pretty good. The insoles are comfortable and the arch support is good - and I have high arches. It's a little difficult to keep the laces tied sometimes, as they are waxed canvas, and it is taking a bit of effort to break in the heels, but I still am quite happy with these shoes.

Once a little broken-in, these shoes are very comfortable. I have a narrow heel and the tie style works well. Look great with jeans, but so comfortable, I wear with pants for work.

Very comfortable! I have "problem" feet and finding comfortable shoes other than my 'tennies' can be difficult. I have always liked Born shoes. These may look clunky in the picture but are great with casual pants (ie., jeans).

My experience is that this shoe has fit beautifully overall right from the time I first put it on. I often have problems with width because the front of my foot...across the toes...is wide. With these shoes, there is no problem with the front being too snug. Couldn't be happier. Will probably buy another pair in a different color. I wear these shoes often and especially when I travel, despite the shoe laces. Love them.

My wife had shown me these shoes in the fall at a local mall and I wanted to get them for her for Xmas. By the time shopping came around nobody had her size. Found these here, got it for less, received them fast and they where perfect. I couldn't have been happier with my purchase and niether could my wife Xmas morning.

Love these shoes! So comfy! Definitely getting another pair in black! Based on all the reviews about the short toe box, I was not getting my hopes up about the fit. But they fit perfect! My toes have plenty on room! My feet are average...not thin not thick. I am a size 6.5 to 7. I got a 7 because that is the size I wear in my other Born shoes. I think these shoes are worth a try! Love them!

I love this shoe. I normally wear a 9 or 9.5. The 9.5 fits well, a 10 would prob be too big. Did initially feel awkward around the ankle, but I had no issue with rubbing. Toe box roomy. Lots of padding in the shoe bed. Very attractive shoe and comfortable. Have worn one time so far for about 6 hours and I have no complaint.

Wonderful shoes and great service - I read the reviews and saw a confusion on the sizing. I've tried Born before and found them to have large sizing. Thankfully they've adjusted their sizing to accommodate my size (6). If you cross reference the size to the inches in the chart, you'll have a better chance of getting the correct size the first time.

I had this shoe in brown a year before ordering them in black. I like the shoe and where it as a casual work shoe. I like being comfortable and feel that they look just professional enough to get away with. I have always appreciated Born shoes, however, wish they the would focus more on arch support. Either way, a good shoe.

Bought the umber brown two years ago. Perfect shoe; comfortable. Ordered a new pair to replace them and the new shoes seemed narrow in the toebox. Excellent shoe for casual or dress pants. I reccommend ordering one size up from your normal shoe size.

I love these shoes and they are comfortable and they look great, too! Couldn't ask for more. They are almost like wearing a comfy pair of slippers!

You contacted me when my size was available. Have never worn an 8 1/2 before but these are perfect in every way. I usually wear a 7 1/2. As always, good service!

I love these shoes. From the first time I put them on they fit perfectly and work great for my problem feet. I can wear them all day without a problem. I am going to get a brown too. These are my new go to shoes!

Gorgeous shoe with cushy interior foot pad. A bit stiff overall, but they will break in. I wear a size 9 and these fit just right, so I would say they are true to size. They will likely last forever.

This shoe has a small toe box. I have a narrow foot so this works excellent for me. Great support, so comfortable out of the box,well made,order up a half size. Worth the money.

Great and comfy for a casual shoe. Goes terrific with jeans. I bought the brown first and then went for the black too. Zappos never disappoints!

I ordered half a size bigger because of other reviews. I found the shoes a little bit tight and stiff at the front. I feel discomfort at the big toe area. Maybe because of the design, there are too many seams and stitchings that cause stiffness at the toe area. I need to return the shoes. I might try the Chastain which does not have stitching at the big toe and pinky toe areas. I love Born shoes and own several pairs. Maybe the ones made in China are more true to size. The ones made in Mexico I needed to wear half a size bigger. I wish they would tell us in the product description where they were actually made.

I bought these for myself. I walk on a hard surface all day and needed good support shoes. I have used Keen in the past, but wanted a bit different style. I ordered half a size larger and the fit was fine. They are a bit stiff at first, but feel good on my feet at the end of the day, and that is what counts. They really collect dust as I am wiping them off daily!

Got this shoe because I've had foot surgery, ordered next size up but it is still a tiny bit tight. Lots of support inside and great arch! 4 1/2 out of 5 stars!

I really like the style of these shoes. I should have heeded the warnings about the size articulated by other reviewers. I loved getting them for the sale price.

Order a half size larger than your usual. The leather strip over the toes is attractive, but presses down on the toes so that at first I thought the shoe was too small. Good comfort and a unique look for casual wear.

I was very excited when these shoes arrived as they are super cute and looked great on. Unfortunately, the same does not hold true for it's comfort. I only wore these twice and could not bare to put them on again as they pinch the right side of my foot. Not so much the toe but the area between the toe and heel on the right side. By the end of the day my poor puppies were hurting. Cute shoe, not comfortable enough to wear for a gal that's on her feet all day!

I was really looking forward to these, but unfortunately they did not work for me. I took the advice of others and ordered 1 size larger. When the shoe arrived, everything fit perfectly except for the overlap of leather over my fourth/fifth toes. It pressed down so hard, that after 2 minutes of wearing in the house, I was starting to get a blister. Other than that, the shoe looked amazing, the support felt terrific. Now, if only I could figure out a way to chop off a toe or two.
