The Inov-8 F-Lite 195 is an extremely light shoe that I us solely for doing Crossfit work outs.

By far my favorite fitness shoe I've ever purchased. I prefer a very minimal heel to toe differential, and these shoes deliver. Extremely light weight, but still give you confidence when running. I do like my FiveFinger Sprints, but I definitely prefer my 195's. I ordered a 9, but probably could have worked my way into an 8.5. I prefer a snug shoe, and the 9s have a little more room than I would like in the toe box. For comparison, I typically wear an 8.5 in Sauconys. As always, Zappos is the best place for ordering shoes online.

Major props to Zappos for lightening fast shipping, even right before Christmas! I use these shoes for Crossfit. In the gym they are amazing, especially with Olympic lifts because of the flat sole. However, I do not like them for running *because* of the thin sole. They have very little arch support and I have flat feet. They fit like a glove and are feather light, but I gave them 3 stars on comfort because I did not find them comfortable for running. If you're looking for more of an all purpose shoe, go with the 230's. I would buy these again, but not with the intention of using them for running.

A fantastic ride with a 'barely there' feel. This shoe helped me make the final transition to efficient natural running. Never felt anything so light and free on my feet. The rubber sole is much better than Nike Free foam which tend to wear away in a matter of days. Would not recommend buying this shoe if you need support or heel-strike protection.

I absolutely love them. The are light (about 7 1/2 ounces), they form to the foot in a "hugging it" sort of way that feels wonderful, and they have just enough of an insole and padding to protect the precious soles of one's foot while still giving a great proprioceptive feel and awareness of the ground. The only thing I would advise is that this is a shoe for those committed to forefoot-initial-landing sort of running, not for heel strikers. I can hardly imagine running in another shoe at this point.

I love my new Inov-8's! I was a little hesitant to try them with the sizing being in men's. They fit perfectly. I want to wear them all the time but right now I'm saving them just for running. Guess I'll have to get a new pair soon. :) Also my toes have room to spread. I already had the 5fingers but some terrain I just don't like to wear them. The Inov-8's fit the bill.

I got these to do my CrossFit workouts and I love them. I normally wear a size 9 in women's shoes and found that a 7½ men's fits me very well. I have a bunion from an old injury that gets irritated with some of the movements we do and I have to be careful about shoes that put any pressure on that toe joint. The fabric of the shoe and design of the vamp is sturdy, flexible and very comfortable. I've been working out pretty much pain-free since I've been wearing them.

Great minimalist shoe with enough sole to be able to run on rocky surfaces without being to painful. As with the other Inov-8's, they run a size small so order at least a half size larger. Overall, awesome shoe for the gym or running.

The 195 are a flat, neutral shoe with minimal support, ideal for people practicing mid/forefoot running. For true minimalist running, I find them somewhat narrow, but for general working out, they are a great all-around shoe for crosstraining. They seem to run large in the big sizes (I am normally a US15, in these, the US14 fits on the snug side of comfortable), but not so much that I would advise adjusting your size.

Great shoe. True to size and super light. I use it for CrossFit and so far it's held up well. Extremely good grip.

Best Shoes ever! The only downside is that now I have trouble wearing other shoes with a jacked up heel. Having my feet on the ground with these shoes feels way more natural. Good for short distance runs. These are my everyday WOD shoes and work good as lifting shoes mid workout. Super fast, super light, feet feel great.

Great shoe! Very light and comfortable. No support which is what you want with this type shoe. Cool mesh helps with sweaty feet. My feet are a little narrow and these fit perfect.

The F-Lite 195's are great. I've had them for a month now and am very happy. They are a great option for minimalist running, as they are very light, flexible and don't have a detectable raised heel. I've used them on the road and on trails and love them in both applications.

I previously ran in Vibram 5 fingers, but fit issues gave me lots of awful blisters when doing more than 5 miles at a time. I was looking for something super lightweight and that would allow my stride to be more "barefoot", well this shoe did that perfectly. Just enough sole to protect your feet and at the same time make it feel as natural as possible. Inov8 shoes tend to fit more narrowly, so if you have a very wide foot you might want to look elsewhere.

Absolutely love this shoe! I use mine for Crossfit workouts and it handles the variety very well. They are lightweight and fit like a glove. Highly recommended for anyone looking to move to a neutral soled shoe.

I tried on about 12 pairs of minimalist shoes before I found these. They have just the right amount of cushioning and protection. Road running and cross training is good. Sprinting on rocky trails is amazing!

This shoe is great for CrossFit. Helps keep you back on your heels when lifting where my running shoes did not. I would not wear these to run long distances, but they are excellent for my CrossFit exercises!

As everyone states, an excellent Crossfit shoe. It's low enough heel to be solid for weightlifting but enough padding for running and jumping, and extremely light. As noted by others, one thing you should not do in this shoe is rope climbing or anything else that puts significant friction on the shoe. As it is an ultra-light shoe, it is not as sturdy as a typical set of running shoes. Actually, that is one negative on these in general. I don't get the sense that the build is as sturdy as it maybe could be, even accounting for how light they are.

Awesome shoes! I tried the new Merrell minimalist shoes (weird fit in the toe box and sizing was inconsistent) and am too vain to wear the five fingers). The Innov-8's have a nice sense of support around my foot while giving my toes room to move. Great for X Fit and look great with street clothes. Haven't run I. Them as I am rehabbing from surgery but husband has the same and says his knees don't hurt anymore and is sold on minimal shoes.

The concept behind these shoes is excellent. Very low to the ground, essentially no arch or tilt to the bottom of the shoe - you are using your naturally-evolved human foot to run, and it works. These are the best shoes I have found for this. Very light and flexible. They are literally the closest thing available to the Vibram FiveFingers without completely redefining the shoe. Only flaw: since Inov8 focused so much on making these as light as possible, the material is not nearly thick enough to take a heavy beating as most running shoes do. Mine are already showing moderate signs of wear after less than a month of running and doing Crossfit in them. I'm hopeful that they will withstand at least a year, but more could be desired here.

I went from the New Balance Minimus to these based on reviews that they were an even better shoe. I had troubles getting the right size and fit, which Zappos did a great job of exchanging, but they never felt as snug as the New Balance. My toes seem to have play like the shoe is to big, which it wasn't. Doing box jumps and climbing were more difficult due to the lack of it being snug. Now one month of use the outer side is already tearing. I am disappointed with them, especially since Inov8's have a great reputation. Apparently not for my feet, I will be going back to the New Balance Minimus with my next pair.

For some reason the 195 series seems to be between .5-1.0 size larger than advertised. I previously had the 220 model and the size seemed true but not these ones.
