I love this tuque. Wearing it, you won't win any fashion awards, but you'll be in the running for the coveted Best Prepared for Winter's Edge Award. The fit feels natural and combined with the fleece, everything stays in place, which is usually not the case with my head shape. Best head covering I have bought in years. Oh yeah, it's nice and warm and repels the wind.

I've worn this hat for entire weekends of backpacking in pouring rain, and in some bitter cold. It always keeps my head super warm, even when it's wet. In fact I don't even realize it's wet until I take it off. Awesome piece of gear!

Soft, warm, and not bulky. The ear flaps are great for keeping bitter, cold wind from freezing your inner and outer ears. Fits perfectly snug all around your head- no gaps for cold air to hangout. The Windstopper fleece definitely stops all wind from penetrating.

I have a previous year's edition. By itself for active sports, I'm good to about -25C. It's tight to your head, so it's easy to put another hat as another layer on top. That's a better combination for climbing and camping. When it's going to be cold or windy, this hat is with me. It survives machine washing in cold water very well.

Yes, this hat/beanie looks different than other ones I own. It has short ear flaps as you can see in the picture. They don't fold up at all - you have to keep them down. I've used this hat hiking and jogging so far and it's worked well. It's best for temps around 20-35 degrees (F), give or take. And yes, it does cut the wind down a lot. It's breathable, but not as breathable as other hats I've had. Also, it wicks sweat, but also not as well as other hats. However, I really do like it for when I'm out on cold and windy days. Here in Wisconsin we have quite a few days that are in the 30's, and it's great for those days. The sizing is OK, but not perfect. I have a medium size head, and the S/M size of this hat is ok, but a little tight.

A very warm beanie. Keeps the ears nice and warm too. It looks dorky, and muffles sound. A small price to pay for staying warm. Great for lonely low output activities in the wind and cold.

Warmest hat I have owned. Very effective in blocking wind and keeping head and ears warm in negative windchill weather. However, there needs to be more sizes. The L/XL is too big (hat does not fit as snug as it should and it looks big and frumpy). A S/M would be too small based on dimensions given.

I've worn this hat a lot since I first received it. It's comfortable, windproof, and warm. My only complaint is that the sizing is more like an XL than a Large. It would be great if OR made solid sizes. The wind creeps under the ear flaps. My guess is that a size down, M/L, would be too tight.

It stops the wind effectively and keeps my head warm. What more is there to say?

Great hat keeps my ears and sinuses warm when outdoors. I'm sensitive to cold and hat works well for ears. However, the forehead coverage on me is to short. From my brow to hat leaves a lot of skin exposed and I felt cold there. Tried to tuck down but hat is fitted. Would be 5 stars if that was improved.

Good hat. Covers the ears nicely. I wish the forehead was a bit more covered however.

Wear for walks and in prep for trip out west. Sizing is small and wish I could get a larger one

I lost a previous version of this cap. I like this one better. It seems to fit better but it is tighter. The ear flaps don't block out sound like the old style and I like that. Great cap, otherwise I would not have bought another.

Better than regular fleece hats for wind blocking, but not perfect. Could not handle ridge hiking in 38 F with 20 mph gusts, I had to put on a soft-shell hoodie. I like the fact that for extra ventilation I can just pull it up to bare my ears.

I had a small/medium and found it too snug. When it needed to be replaced I got he l/xl. There is no size inbetween. I have to wear a thin headliner underneath to keep the wind from getting inside, but with the liner it works very well. Would be a 5 star with a separate medium size.

This arrived the day before the huge temperature drop around Christmas. It became my "go to"hat to stave off the sub zero wind chill and high winds.

I purchased these for the family, and had bought smalls for the kids and myself and large for the kiddos. I quickly realized, after receiving these that the small would only fit my 6 year old, and the large fit me and my 8 year old. I kept a small for the 6 year old and large for my 8 year old. I also think the large would fit an adult.

I took this hat on my trip to the Peruvian Andes and wore it above 16k ft. This hat always kept my head warm and comfy despite being in some cold, windy conditions. The material covering the ears is a nice feature as it allows one to hear voices well with the hat covering your ears. I went a bit larger on the size (L/XL) as I usually wear a M size and that fit my head well.

I purchased this item for my husband, who has an extremely large head. This fit him circumference wise; however, it domed out into an egg shape. He wasn't thrilled, but it was warm enough for him to give it a try at least once in Boston's frigid weather this year.

Fits a bit small and I don't have a big head. But fits snug under my bike helmet which was the purpose.

I really liked the hat I just wish it fit my head. I don't care for there sizing. The large would be to big.

This is very wind and water resistant. It is also very warm. My only reservations are about the sizing. I ordered the L/XL and have to say it is a tight fit. The S/M I ordered for my wife was so tight she could not wear it. She usually wears S hats. Also, the ear flaps are too short. As the cap is SO tight, it is hard to pull down the ear flaps far enough to cover ear lobes, leaving them exposed. This hat is such a good idea but the execution is not what it could be.
