A review for a hat? I had to, it's that good. Fit is perfect for me, but it may be a bit small for guys with big noggins. For colder outings, the hat is thick and well made.

The fit is great and very comfortable! Really snug on a windy day. Unfortunately the COVID shut down happened and ended my snow season before hat arrived. I have no doubt it will be great on the winter trail.

Toque was purchased to replace a nearly identical one that was about ~7 years old and I lost. It's better than the previous one, warm & comfortable
It is a bit tight on my head, but I'd prefer it that way so it doesn't blow off / air doesn't get under it - and I've also been told I have a big head....

This is the best hat I've ever worn. My ears get very cold very easily and normal stocking caps don't cover them so I freeze. This hat keeps me covered! I've stayed warm to about -10 F, and I know I can go way colder. I'm outside all year in the Adirondacks.

Pretty much been my go to daily toque for my first ever winter in Winnipeg and couldn't be happier with the product so far. I got an orange OR toque as a gift maybe a decade ago and up until I bought this one that was my go to headwear in the colder months. Now moving to a province with real Canadian winter I figured it was time to upgrade and glad I did! I like how the ears are covered though makes it tough to use headphones but very happy with how warm my head is even in -20C. Can't say I've been out for very long excursions if it dips below that but on my shorter dog walks so far I've had no issues. Would highly recommend!

Just took this to the summit of Kilimanjaro, wind and snowing and yet I was toasty. I also used it for -40c in Sweden's winter, again very pleased.
Not everyone needs a pro hat, but if your at altitude, in below freezing temps or somewhere where you're really exposed this hat is worth every penny.
The non windstopper ear flaps are actually really good. I haven't had a problem with wind penetration and I can still hear. My wife has the OR Peruvian hat which is full windstopper and she can't hear well with it on, however she does love the extra coverage of the design. Size wise I'm a large and I got the l/xl, since windstopper is a membrane the hat doesn't have much stretch, hence it is a tiny bit large, since I'm the lower end of the size range. However, the fleece lining fills the slack, so not a problem when worn on its own. Also, it means I can stick it over a balaclava when things get serious.
I'm pleased OR is still offering top of the line fabrics in their products, as many other 'top' brands don't. If your up a mountain or somewhere extreme you need gortex and windstopper.

Excellent to sleep in or just to wear out every day on those cold days and nights. Fits snug and doesn't creep around while wearing. Folds nicely and fits into your pocket as is not bulky. Recommend.

This is a great hat for winters. Especially if you are planning to sit in the hot tub outside in the snow. If you are close to the upper limit of the size chart then I would say get the next size since with your har and margin of errors, this might get tight. If you are in the lower half of the size chart for a particular size then that size should be OK for you.

Windstopper is that indestructible can-do technology that offers the greatest comfort humanly possible. I forget I am wearing it yet it delivers extraordinary functionality and protection. Drawstring quality protection without the drawstring. OR nailed it.

This is a super hat! It is very warm, and impervious to wind. I can see some people having issues with the sizing, but I wear 7 1/4 - 7 3/8 hat sizes, but the Large-Size in this hat seems to work perfect for me. It's a bit thick to get under a helmet, but it can work. The built-in ear flaps work very well, and it is great they are not tight fitting muffs, I don't how they work so well. I like the Olive/Black combination, but they don't seem to offer that anymore. I bought a spare one, because I would just be lost if I lost this hat. Best Winter hat (toque) I have ever owned.

I have a big head and certainly big ears - this hat covers them just fine (some folks were complaining that it does not). It snugs around the circumference of the head and around the neck so no wind can get in at all. I wear it after gym and feel no cold at all outside (27 degrees out here).

I've had this toque now for a while and I love it. Ive used this toque in -25C in 60Km/h winds (-13F and 40mph for you Americans) in southern Alberta for three days straight and didn't once have an issue with wind chill or being to cold. I've also used this in 0C (32F) and have no issues with it over heating either. This is also a really tough toque and has held up from bush crashing in the Rockies and being caught on barb wire and no holes or fraying.
As a Canadian, I endorse this product

Love the fit and the fact it does stop wind . I'M outside 80 % of the workday. I did think from photo that it was two tone not solid color. Photo is misleading.

You're on a windblown ridge. It's minus 10, without the wind chill factor. No problem, because you have the hat for the job. This is the one you want if you're far from a hut or tent.

Other than looking like the Frays from GoT this hat has my fullest endorsement. If you're looking for something that will cut the wind, keep your head toasty, and is lightweight, then this is the hat for you. Definitely bragged to my teammates about this purchase!

This has been a great hat for the winter deployment to the Republic of Georgia. Just about everyone on this team has bought one now.
