Love these boots -- ordered a half size larger to wear heavy socks for winter. They are comfortable (fit is adjustable because of the shoestring tie and deep tongue), easy to walk in, warm (with socks) and very sexy. Thanks for other reviews for hints about size and comfort.

I really like these boots! Very fashion-forward, but comfy enough for a 52-year old grandma to pull off. The only thing I was surprised by is that the color is much darker than shown in the photo and more of a weathered look. The toe area looks very dark, as if wet. Even though this was a surprise to me, I decided I liked the look and it just means they're not as dressy as I'd originally thought. One minor complaint/annoyance, the shoelaces tend to flap around and make a noise when I walk!

Taupe is actually a very pretty color. It's fashionable in that it's not a boring brown or black but a dark grayish brown. The only thing I don't like is that the ends of the shoe has a darker shade like it's dirty. It's comfortable and that's a plus. Goes well with skinny jeans and it's definitely a more casual kind of look.

I have these same shoes in oily brown also. They are so cute, I get tons of compliments on them. Zappos is the best store on the planet, they always aim to please. I am a loyal customer forever, you have the best customer service! Thank you!

I bought these in Brown Oily Leather. These shoes have a very nice finish to them and attract compliments. The heel height is the highest I wear, but it is pretty comfortable. I wear them with thin socks. These go very nicely with jeans and also with grey pants. I almost bought an additional pair in taupe suede but ended up buying a pair of El Naturalista Duna N523 instead, which are slightly more comfortable. However these are very nice too and I wear them frequently.

I ordered a few of these and was disappointed with how the taupe looked. The black looks great with jeans and is killer with a set of Betsy Johnson furry leg warmers. I had to put a squishy footbed in, as the walk is a bit harsh after a while.

These shoes look great with skinny jeans and leggings. They are true to size. The leather is quite stiff, however, so they aren't the most comfortable. I'm hoping they'll soften up a bit after time. They are just too cute to return. Actually I might order another color.

Extremely well-balanced, comfortable shoe. Great silhouette for a number of different types of outfits. Materials are very high quality. I receive compliments every time I wear them. The oiled brown finish gets even better with wear.

Love this shoe! It goes great with tights and skirts or leggings. Comfy too! What more could you want?

Well designed, cute, comfortable, versatile bootie. I got the brown 'oily' color. The leather is rich and the oily refers to some darker color variation on the toe and heel. I like the contrast and well worn look this gives the boot. True to size and snugs your ankle in...no annoying gap like so many other booties out there. Clarks even had the good sense to use regular shoe laces that stay tied vs useless cords that look good but don't stay put. Get a pair, they are even on sale.

All the glam and comfy too! Walked all over Vegas looking stylish and without aching feet. Love these boots!

Yep - these are great shoes. Very comfortable despite the high heel; I can last all day in them. I thankfully followed the advice of the other reviewers and got a half size larger than usual.

I love these boots! They are so comfortable. I teach and have to stand and go up and down stairs, and these don't bother my feet at all. Also, my size 10 feet look small in these. I wear them with dress slacks and jeans. I'm sure they would be cute with some skirts, too. I liked them so much in oily brown, that I also ordered the black suede.

Great pair of shoes. Very comfortable. The suede is a little more "worn" than depicted in the pictures, but it's a great look.

I love these booties! They're so cute - maybe a little elfish, in a good way - and super comfortable. They seem very well made, too, and I love the detail of the plaid lining. Usually between a 9 and 9.5, ordered the 9.5 and they fit well. Great service from Zappos, as always!

Love these! I've been looking for a casual ankle boot with a more substantial sturdy heel which would allow for walking to wear with jeans on the weekend. I'm short so all my jeans are about 2 inches too long. These boots are perfect. I would buy a second pair if they came in black leather.

Very comfortable! And with 1/2 size up, I can wear these with thick socks during winter. Fits nicely width-wise, and the heel is just the right height for almost all my jeans! Ties add a good dimension to this shoe because I have very thin ankles and these wont fly off because I can tighten them! Great purchase overall!

I love these shoes. I was looking for a bootie and Clarks came through again. They are perfect right out of the box and perfect for skirts, jeans, leggings, etc. These are stylish while still being comfortable.

I was looking for a pair of boots that weren't my usual 5 inches high (because I have a million and never wear them) so I searched and searched and of course found my solution at Zappos. I wasn't completely sure but due to the amazing convenience of Zappos shipping, I went ahead and bought them. Success. Can't wear them without compliments from strangers. Love them, love Zappos. Loyal customer forever. Customer service is incredible.

Really comfortable right out of the box and seems to be of lasting quality- at least for a few seasons.

These shoes are stunning and true to size. I couldn't be happier! This is my first chunky heel, well heel, to wear for long distance walking and after a while they begin to hurt. But it is a small price to pay. I put in insoles and that has helped a little. Enjoy!

I freaking LOVE these shoes!!! I am so tempted to buy another pair in one of the other colors! The most comfy boots you'll have for day to day wear, casual dressy, and everything in between. Great quality (I got caught in the rain the second day I wore them), roomy enough (I have a bit of a wider foot without having an actual wide foot, so I don't wear wide widths, but regular widths are often times a bit too snug on me and these boots aren't). I mean 5 stars out of 5. I always get compliments when I rock them, so I absolutely adore these boots, my new faves for sure! I recommend to all!

This was a cute ankle boot that did not work out for me. The ankle cuff was too wide (lose) and my heel flopped. I may try a 1/2 size down.

Cute shoe. Goes well with jeans and cute with over the knee socks. Comfortable for a heel. Nice leather that gets better with wear.

I love this boot. It looks so great with skinny jeans. I did order my regular size 7 but returned for a 7.5. The 7.5 is great - I have regular width feet but recommend going up a 1/2 size.
