These shoes are just what I was looking for. I wanted something that I could wear to show my horse. I can't wear cowboy boots so these were a close second. The ache support is so good I did not need to add my own. I also bought the brown pair. But had to buy the man's pair because the don't have brown for women. You will like these shoes.

If you have small but super wide feet, Chacos PedShed is a godsend! No breaking in period and very comfy. Perhaps because it's extra wide, I did have to go down a half size less than my normal order. And I would like to compliment the Zappos staff that expedited my exchange of shoes for that smaller size extremely easy and trouble free.

At age 60 I need super arch support or my back aches. My first pair of Chaco sandals are six years old, went around the world twice and now serve as my paint splattered garden/work shoes. My second pair is holding up just as well and serve me hiking or in the city, literally the only shoe I wear all summer. I reluctantly give up the sandals in November when my toes start freezing. So, I was extremely happy to find the same arch support foot bed available in a shoe to get me through the cool seasons. I wear an 8 and 8 fit exactly with Smart wool socks. I prefer the wider toe area. The style is casual, but for me works with pants or tights and skirt. I like the familiar adjustable strap to lock down my heel and give me stability. The leather seems supple enough to break in easily and the heel doesn't rub. The elastic gore made it possible to slip the shoes on over my impossibly high arch, although the position of the gore might mean damp feet in extremely wet slushy weather. I will be wearing these shoes on a five week trip through Italy with steep cobble streets and long days on museum floors, then fully expect to wear them for years to come.

This shoe has the fabulous Chaco arch support and is a very comfortable shoe, though it was stiff at first and took some break-in time.

The footbed of these shoes is just amazing! It cradles the arch and then spreads out into a spacious toe area. They feel almost like Earth shoes, but not enough to stretch the Achilles tendon. Waterproof, too! They have a funky kind of look, which I love. Worn to work with long pants, they just look like ordinary shoes. I love these! The leather is thick and yet soft; I think they will wear well for years.

I can't say enough good things about these shoes. I need shoes with high arches for plantar fasciitis, and these fit the bill more than any other shoe I've ever tried on. I didn't think they were that attractive based on the photo, but they really are cute when they're on. And comfortable...it's silly to say, but I actually look forward to putting these on every day. My feet feel like they're in heaven. They stay warm, and cushioned, and I never have foot pain. My size fluctuates between 8 and 9, I ordered the 8.5 and it fit great. I'm shopping for Chaco's summer sandals right now.

Chacos are my go-to shoe for summer. I wear them literally almost every single day from May through October. It's always a sad day when the socks come out and the Chacos go back in the box for winter. But not this year! I'm wearing these almost as much as the sandals, and find the fit very similar, although it's a little different since my toes are no longer free to enjoy the open air. The toe box could be a tiny bit wider for my taste; this is something I really like about the sandal, that the footbed is wide enough to support without pinching. Other than that these are pretty much my new favorites. Cute, comfortable and kind of funky, they go great with jeans, yoga pants and even dresses with leggings or jeans underneath (if that's your thing). If you love your Chaco sandals, give these a try!

Overall I love the Pedshed because it gives me the comfort of a Chaco foot bed with the warmth of a closed toe shoe for winter. I have plantar fasciitis, and this is one of the only shoes that doesn't hurt my foot. It was difficult to get a good size, though. I generally wear an 8 wide in other shoes. But in this shoe the 8 was enormous! My sandals are a 7 wide, but I think with the closed toe it would be too small. So I went with a 7 1/2. They fit well in the length, but unfortunately, the half sizes don't come in wide. So they are a tad snug. I also originally had the light brown suede-looking shoe and it seemed that it would scuff incredibly easy. I swapped them for the regular leather, which I can polish with shoe polish, and they are much better.

I really like the look of the shoe. At first, this shoe was comfortable, but after several weeks my feet (heel and ball) are being to hurt again. My arch doesn't hurt at all. The left strap keeps loosing while I am wearing. It is aggravating to keep tightening it back up through out the day. I love Chacos sandles. I was expecting the same great feel!

I wear a 10 wide in Chaco sandals, and maybe my sandals are a little big for my feet - I'm not sure - but the 10 wide PedShed is definitely too big for me, even with thick smartwool socks. I'm sending it back for a 9 because they don't make half sizes in wide. I sure hope they fit. The comfort and stability of Chacos just can't be beat!

Nice sturdy shoe that goes on and comes off quickly. Unfortunately it was much too wide for my foot and I returned it.

The style is a bit too Doc Martenish for my taste, but I was the only one with dry feet at a cold, wet Lacrosse game. The arch support is fabulous and the wide toe box comfortable. What I like is that, unlike other outdoor shoes, you can slip them on and off without untying laces.

I like these shoes a lot because of the style and workmanship and I really want them to work for my feet, but I do have reservations. The arch is much higher than the arch in the Chaco sandal footbed so it took some getting used to. I've had them for about a month now and I can wear them to work, but unlike the sandals, I take them off when I get home.

Great shoe, love my chaco sandals, so finally a chaco vibram shoe. Feels full size too large though. I ordered a size down, but even though it was a better fit lengthwise, it was too narrow for my wide feet (even though I ordered the wide). I ended up keeping the larger one.

I love Chacos and this one not as much as my others. Same great arch support, however, because it has a closed toe box, it bothers my bunion a little. Because it is leather I am hoping it will stretch a little. The normal foot fits great.

I had hopes for this shoe since my 6-year old pair of Chaco sandals have been tough and supportive even for someone with pronation problems. While the size 7 was just like my sandals and the sole, supportive, my pronating instep hit the shoe at a very stiff spot, right where the elastic gore is! The leather is fairly stiff as well and the toe box too wide and deep (high volume). The strap did not provide enough adjust-ability so these will have to go back! It's a cute but clunky style but if it doesn't fit... Thanks, Zappos, though for overnight delivery!

Excellent arch support, unless you don't have a high arch...then ouch! The shoe could use more cushion.

The strap that tightens/loosens the shoe makes this a great fit for me since my feet are different sizes. However, these are my first pair of Chacos and the sole is too hard for my comfort. Wish I had worn them in the house longer to see how they felt. After wearing them outside one time they were a bit soiled so I could not return them. There were no instructions with the box telling me how to safely clean them.

This is a cute shoe, but I just can't wear it. I liked the earthy look of the shoes, and unlike other reviewers, I actually thought the straps were cute and true to the Chaco "look." Unfortunately, the arch in the footbed is very high, and hit my foot at the rear of my arch near the heel. Just trying on the shoe was borderline painful and I could tell it wouldn't work long term. The footbed is very much like the thicker Chaco sandal - which I can wear, but tires my feet very quickly, although I have very high arches. Go figure.

I love my Chaco sandals and really wanted to love these and I did like how they looked (sort of Birkenstocky, round-toe clunky in a good way). But after wearing them for an hour my toes started to hurt. Not wide enough for my wide size 5 feet so they've been returned.

When I originally tried these on, I thought they might work. I live in my Chaco sandals, but these shoes don't fit the same. My heel slips too much for me and the instep is pretty tight so after a day of work they are pretty painful. Too bad because I love the look of them.

I own Chaco sandals so had high hopes for this shoe but will be sending it back. The shoe ran at least a half-size long but the wide width was fine. The back of the shoe came up too high on my heal and felt like it would rub blisters within no time. The shoe also felt a bit stiff.
