A sturdy walking shoe for wintry conditions, easy to put on. Had to add gel heel and insoles for comfort over the bare vibram. Not as waterproof as hoped. The sole seam leaks if you hit a puddle; needs silicone sealer.

I love my Chaco Ped Sheds! The adjustable strap that secures the ankle is the ticket. My only regret is they are not water proof! The stitching is the culprit which I discovered the first time I wore them in rainy Seattle. Also, it is hard to slip your foot in without stretching the sock tight at the toes. I sound like a whiner but obviously they are worth it. They are so comfortable. They are the only shoes that I can wear without my custom orthodics. Style wise, my husband says they look European, my son says they look like Smurf shoes. I think they look cute with tights and a slim, shorter skirt. All in all these are great shoes.

I love Chacos and this one not as much as my others. Same great arch support, however, because it has a closed toe box, it bothers my bunion a little. Because it is leather I am hoping it will stretch a little. The normal foot fits great.

These were difficult to put on at first and to get used to wearing. Now they feel great. I found using a trouser sock was the key. Love how they look with my jeans.

I found the PedShed quite comfortable. The arch support is great. I initially ordered my normal size and found it too large; had to order a half size down. The toe box has a ridge inside that will hopefully soften with age, this was my only concern. I have arch problems and found Chaco shoes and sandals are great. Before I discovered them, I could not walk for great lengths.

I love my Chaco sandals because of the great support of the sole so was happy to find a Chaco shoe I could wear in the winter. I normally wear a 7½ but I knew to order a half size down in Chacos. While the sole is comfortable,as expected, the shoe is roomy and my heels slipped. I took them to my genius shoe repair guy and he stuck a "tongue pad" on the part of the shoe where the tongue would be. Problem solved. The style reminds me of the walking shoes that are worn by men and women in Europe. They look best worn with long trousers or jeans. I've heard it rumored that Chaco will have even more winter styles for 2011.

I ordered an 8. It is huge! Having wide toes and a narrow heel, if it were not so very wide and heavy, I would take a chance on 1/2 size smaller. It does have a strap over the arch that will help hold them on if the rest of the fit works for you. Am sad because I really wanted them to fit.

Although these are cute and comfortable, I\'m sending them back. I ordered a 1\/2 size too big, and would have kept them if they\'d fit right. I wear between a 6.5-7, and should have sized down. They look like funky clogs... but I just don\'t need clogs (already have a great pair of Danksos.) But they\'re a great shoe & I recommend them if you\'re on the fence. If you\'re a fan of Chaco sandals, these feel exactly the same underfoot.

I would give this 5 stars, except for the arch support. While the shoe has excellent arch support, it's of little comfort to me because I have no arches, therefore It is taking me some time gettting used them.

The first pair I returned had a crack in the leather, but the fit was good. This current pair is to big, even though they were the same size. frustrating!

The shoes are awkward and clompy, but very comfortable. Take some getting used to.

I absolutely love Chaco sandals! They are all I wear in the summer. I was looking at the the pedshed for possibly a work/nursing shoe and thought why not try Chaco shoes?! However, these fit strangely. The arch was high and the side where the arch is came in pushing on the side of my foot. I was willing to make my peace with the fact that they are not that attractive, but unfortunately they had to go back. They just did not fit my foot correctly.

Very disappointed in comfort. Had them one year and not any better. Love the sandals, but the sole is very stiff and does not mold to my foot.

I just sent these back. They look like shoes I should like, sort of like the Brussels sprouts of shoes. And if they felt good to walk in, I would have kept them for that reason alone. But they were weird inside, though perhaps good for all those folks with arch issues. But ugly shoes. Really ugly.

I really wanted to love and keep these shoes. I wear a 9 in the sandals, but had to send back my first pair and exchange for 9.5. The second pair fit much better, but squeaked! With every step I took the leather squeaked. I couldn't keep them with all that noise. The leather also did not look as smooth and shiny as it does in this picture. Mine looked very worn out. I wish they would have worked out.

Ilove Chacos. I have 3 pairs of Chaco sandals and wear them constantly. When I saw these, I thought they would be great for winter. What a disappointment! If I could give them a zero, I would. I have nothing good to say about them. Stiff, uncomfortable, poor fit. Couldn't return them fast enough.

I just got these shoes and they were a little bit awkward in the beginning, because the arch support is so high, that when I am standing, I got much more pressure on the arch than on toe and heel areas, which made them feel weird. But if you walk a little bit around, you realize they are actually very comfortable. I have wide feet, but I got them in medium because W was out of stock, and indeed, they feel a little too narrow for me, but I'm sure they will take the shape of my foot because the leather (contrary to some reviews) is actually soft and flexible. The sole is less flexible, not the leather! Does anyone who has these shoes know why they have marked on the sole, in the back, by the heel, the size and width (which my shoes show W 8, meaning wide, size 8), if they are actually medium width according to Zappos? If they are Wide, as they are marked, then this shoe runs really narrow. Very good looking, unique design, when worn with pants, but a bit ugly if you expose the strap area, which is not a problem for me because I got them especially to go nice with jeans. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.I would buy them again!

Just received these shoes and they are so comfortable! Great arch support, which is what I need! It did take me 2 tries to get the correct size. I usually wear a size 8 and I went all the way down to a 7. So they run a little big! I would at least order a 1/2 size smaller then what you would normally wear.

These shoes have excellent arch support. I have high arches and can not find many shoes that work for me. Chaco is the best! The shoes did squeak at first I called the Chaco company and they suggested putting powder in the inside of the shoe to stop the squeaking and it worked! Had to repeat a couple times but it is no longer an issue. Usually wear size 10 in tennis shoes ordered a 9 1/2 in these and they fit great. Shipping from Zappos was quick! At my door the next day what a nice surprise!!

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! They have fantastic arch support. My feet no longer ache at the end of the day.

I love these shoes! I have a lot of pain in my feet (diabetic neuropathy & plantar fascitis) and usually limp home at night. When I wear these shoes, my feet don't hurt at all. I wish I found these a long time ago. I have large feet (size 12) so choices aren't that great. I'm glad Chaco had these in my size. I'm looking forward to trying more of this brand. I really like the looks, too, with my slacks.

These are truly wonderful shoes. I bought them because I love the way they look. Turns out they're also heaven on my feet! I'd finally bought a pair of Chaco sandals (Men's 1 size smaller) which I wore all Summer. PedShed gives me all the same comfort and support plus warm supple waterproof upper. Earlier versions of this style looked very outdoor trekky. In black, it's perfect urban casual.

I tore my plantar fascia in April 2012. The only shoes that I was able to wear after I healed a bit were Chaco sandals. I wear a 8½ normally but wear a 9 in Chaco sandals, since they do not come in half sizes. I ordered a 9 in Chaco PedShed. They seem big, but pretty perfect with thick socks. I was rather desperate as cold weather approached. Chacos with this sole and arch support seem to be the only shoes that I can possibly wear and walk in for any length of time. My only issue is that the left pinches slightly at my little toe. I am hoping that this resolves with wear. It seems odd considering that my left foot is less wide and usually the easier to fit. I would have considered a wide width, but the heel is already a bit floppy as it is. I have to cinch the shoe pretty tight. These are not as wonderful as my Chaco sandals, but I need something to wear in winter!
